This is the story of a crew of construction workers and the people that they work for. Custom Designs is a company run by one Mr. David Matthews, a successful General Contractor who works in the more upscale neighborhoods of Flordia. With a crew of David, his son Eric and long time associate Andrew Sanders, the three of them worked hard for the money they earned. Juggling 3 seperate projects at any one time, the crew was usually split thin, one person on each house working to wrap it up. These are the stories of their experiences with various home owners and others.

Characters:

David Matthews - Co-Owner of the company, 43 and 6 feet even. Years in the business has left David with a lean body and a razor sharp mind for design. The primary business man and designer, David deals with all the behind the scenes work while occasionally getting free of his office to hit up the job sites.

Eric Matthews - Son of David, Eric was just 20 years old but already had years of experience in the business. Eric was being groomed to take over for his Dad and part of the process is that Eric had to learn all of the needed trades. Over the years, Eric had gotten down the basics of plumbing, electrical and some finish wood working. Eric was his Dad's primary gopher also, going to talk to the owners when his Dad was too busy and he was always on the job sites working.

Andrew Sanders - Andrew was David's Co-Owner having worked with him for over 25 years now. The two were best friends and partners in the company with Andrew handling alot of on the job work. Andrew was the foreman on most jobs, meaning that if his father wasn't around, Eric reported to Andrew. Andrew was a perfectionist at his work and because of that fact had built a reputation as one of the best Jack of All Tradesmen.

Ok people, sign up for a character and please feel free to post a few home owners for these people to work for. Thanks for being involved!

Mrs. Jessica Roberts

* long, wavey, auburn hair, tan and toned body{this is Florida} 36-26-34 measurements, young, early thirtys, married female...

It really wasn't hard to convince my husband, Carl, to redo our master bath...he has always given me whatever my little heart desires. I planned to make our bathroom bigger, by knocking out a wall where the closet is, and install a step up whirlpool bath, surrounded by the best imported, Italian marble, and mirrors, of course. I also wanted a new shower stall, with a seat or a bench, done in marble, as well as the floors too. In other words, this would be a very expensive project, but we could afford it easily, and besides we would be increasing the value of our home, which was already in the millions !

While out doing lunch with a friend, we were gossiping and I happened to mention our plans, and being a darling, she recommended Custom Designs, a contractor that did excellant work. They had remodeled her kitchen last year, and she was just full of praise.

I decided to call them for an estimate. The person on the phone promised to send someone out tommorrow...

The assignment was handed off to Eric, he was supposed to head down to these peoples house, tour the area they intended to remodel and get an idea of how they pictured it in their heads. So Eric loaded up his truck that morning and headed off for a house in a really ritzy area. He couldn't help but smile to himself, working for rich people was great because it was never an issue getting paid and most of the time, they were very welcoming into their homes. On the way down he also got a call from Andrew saying that later in the day, Eric had to go down to another job site to pick up some blue prints. Eric rolled his eyes but agreed, low man on the totem had some downsides, namely he had to fetch everything for the company.

The sour thoughts were put out of his head though when he rolled up on the new job. This house was just freakin massive, it had to be like 3200+ square plus a lawn for miles. With a low whistle to himself, Eric grabbed his notepad, pen, measuring tape and headed off for the front door. He half expected it to be answered by a butler named Jeeves or something as he rang the door bell, rolling his neck until it popped. He smoothed out his t-shirt and jeans, trying to look as professional as possible because if they got this contract, Eric would get a 10% bonus for doing all the leg work here. Come on 10%, Eric needed a new pair of about everything!

Mr. Carl Roberts [in a cameo appearance]

My wife called me at the office, excited about have founding a contractor to remodel our bathroom. She said someone would be stopping by shortly to give a estimate.

I only hoped he knew what he was getting himself too. Dealing with my wife Jessica, could be nerve racking. She was very high maintenance, demanding perfection at all times. Jessica had been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, was spoiled beyond belief, and thought she deserved everything money could buy. As if that wasn't enough, I constantly had to replace the staff, the maids, the gardeners, the cook, pool boys...but, then again, despite being a total bitch at times, Jessica was beautiful, if not demanding.

Good luck guys, you have just met a true bitch...

Jessica Roberts

The doorbell rang, and from her bedroom, Jessica called down to the Spanish maid, Maria, to answer it. " And have them wipe their feet, please. " she insisted, knowing Maria wouldn't even bother to clean up after them. Maria was completely worthless at times, she thought to herself.

Jessica finished applying her eyeliner, satisfied with her appearance, elagantly dressed as she was to recieve company, or at least to have an estimate done on the bathroom. Still, she always liked to look good...ready for any occasion.

Her stockings whispered softly, as she desended the grand spiral staircase to meet the contractor, in the study, where he was waiting .

" Hello, my name is Jessica. " she introduced herself, upon entering the room. At least the young man had manners, standing up to greet her, despite being underdressed, clad in a common t-shirt and blue jeans.

" Eric, pleased to meet you. " he said, taking her hand. Jessica was slightly taken back... he was very attractive, for a young man. What struck her most was his well developed, muscled arms...he looked very powerful, if not capable...

Jessica recovered rather quickly, asking if he wanted too see her bathroom, which was upstairs, next to the master bedroom. Eric agreed, of course, following Jessica upstairs behind her, aware that her dress was so very short...

Felicia Worthington

Felicia : 42 years old. 5'7, 36d-27-36, sable brown hair, green eyes, long long legs, divorced.

Felicia leaned back in the leather office chair and stretched her arms over her head. She had been at the computer for... she glanced on the on-screen clock... eight hours. She reread what she had typed and smiled. It was good. Thank goodness. Her editor had been calling every day pleading and begging for the final draft. With a quick movement of the mouse and a light tap, her manuscript was on its way to New York. Relieved, she stretched again.

Her stomach rumbled and she laughed. When she was in "writer mode" she lost all track of time. Felicia tried to think of when she had eaten last but gave up. Standing up, she could feel her muscles all tighten. Doing a few simple yoga stretches she listened to her spine pop back into place.

Looking out over the back yard she smiled. Florida maximized its residential land by cutting the property into odd shaped lots. Somehow, due to the placement of her house on an odd angle to "enhance the view of the ocean" and that of the estate next door, Felicia had a perfect view of the Roberts' circular driveway. Sitting in the driveway at the moment was a large pickup truck with enough dents to prove it was a working truck and not one that was driven for show. There was lettering on the door but it was too small to see from Felicia's office but that didn't matter. Felicia wondered what Jessica Roberts had decided to renovate now. In the two years that Felicia had lived in Florida, Jessica had redone every room in the house and added two wings to the orginal mansion. Thankfully, the estates were far enough apart and situated at these odd angles, so that the noise of the constant construction didn't really disturb Felicia's peace.

As Felicia's stomach rumbled again, she grinned, wondering which poor sucker had had the misfortune to agree to work for Jessica. "Probably some out of town company," Felicia decided. Everyone in this area had already been fired by Jessica for some invented reason or other. Her husband seemed to spend most of his time writing checks to various companies, then putting out the proverbial fires that Jessica left in her wake. With one last glance of pity for the owner of the pickup truck, Felicia headed for the kitchen to appease her stomach.

With Eric a few measured steps behind Jessica, he caught himself a wonderful view going up the stairs. Personal trainers were a wonderful thing was Eric's conclusion as he admired her tight rear and toned stocking clad legs. He licked his lips and silently reminded himself that this was work, not some bar where he could at like a caveman. Though man oh man, this lady did have a smoking little body on her and that would certainly make work easy on the eyes.

As they entered the bathroom, Eric listened quietly as Jessica stared going over all the things she wanted to do, jotting down notes. This was going to be one helluva project for sure, Jessica wanted alot of very expensive and rather elaborate things done. Most of it wouldn't be to tough to pull off except for maybe all the marble, with an amount that large it may be back ordered. But Eric didn't mention that, no reason to tell the customer a fact that may irritate them. He then took a few measurements and scribbled it all down, compiling a mental list of the shops he would have to call to get prices.

"Ok Mrs. Roberts, we can do all that for you no problem at all. Just one more question and then I'll be out of your hair for the day. Since your doing all this other marble work, do you want to just go ahead and get your whole floor redone in marble tile? We have an excellent stone guy who could done a real nice job on your floor if you'd like."

He flashed her an easy smile, if she took the flooring offer also, this project was looking like it would top out at about 75,000 grand. Possibly more depending on the type of marble she picked out, which Eric would be more then happy to offer her the most expensive choices on the market. Custom Designs didn't do anything half assed and the more the homeowner felt like ponying up, the more elaborate they could make the project. Once again, come on 10% of this project.......

Felicia

As Felicia carried her grilled cheese sandwich and lemonade out to the patio, she noticed that the truck was still in the driveway. "Must be some detailed changes," she thought. Turning her head she ran her eyes over her own property. "You know, now that I have finished my novel and have a break, not to mention a royalty check sometime in the next couple of months, this might be the perfect time to get my own work done, " thinking of the pool, jacuzzi and spa she had always wanted to have.

With a decisive nod, she went back into the house and pick up the notepad and pencil she kept near the phone. Her bare feet sunk into the cool grass as she walked the twenty yards that brought her close enough to the truck to copy down the name and phone number. "Hmmm, Custom Designs. I will have to call around a few places and check them out. Just because Jessica pays the highest bids, doesn't guarantee her the best work. But Custom Designs sounds perfect for me."

Heading back to the house, Felicia went upstairs to the desk and pulled out her thick address book. Calling around to people she knew that had recent work done on their homes, she discovered the Custom Designs was a two owner company that had a fantastic reputation of delivering the best quality at reasonable prices within the scheduled allotted time.

"Perfect,' she murmurred, "now all I have to do is figure out what I want it to look like. Time for some research." Jumping online, Felicia began to research styles, colors, materials and costs for her project.

Jessica...the estimate

Jessica folded her arms beneath her ample bosom, and tapped her high heeled foot, rather impatient...

" Let me clarify, please...we want the best, and we do not care what it costs, I only expect quality work. I also know I will be inconvienced, with your crew running through my house. Therefor, I want this done as quick as possible...do you understand, Mr. Matthews ? "

" Yes ma'am. "

" And I would like it done to my specifications, is that clear ? Very well...I want the closet removed, the whirlpool over there, and a complete marble floor. I expect you to bring me some samples, as soon as possible ! "

Eric Matthews nodded, reassuringly.

You are free to do your measurements young man, let me know what you come up with. " With that, Jessica turned and left the room, very proud of herself, for letting him know just who was in charge around here...

...typical male, checking out my ass and breasts, as if he had a chance with someone like me...he may be goodlooking, but still he was beneath me ! Jessica thought as she returned downstairs, ready to catch her worthless maid, Maria, doing nothing again...I will have to speak with Carl about getting rid of her...

Felicia

After finding an online site that allowed you to build your own pool and spa, Felicia had a good idea of what she wanted. She had spent the better part of two days, looking at ideas and planning out how she thought things should be laid out. She decided to put the sauna near the pool but also built against the house. That way she could enter from her bathroom but exit near the pool. She loved going from the heat into the cooler pool or the other way around. She looked at various materials and accessories. Now that she had an idea of what she wanted, she needed to find out if what she wanted was actually possible.

She picked up the phone and dialed the number she had written down a couple of days ago.

"Custom Designs, Dave Matthews speaking. How can I help you?"
"My name is Felicia Worthington. I saw your truck at my neighbor's, Jessica Roberts. I am interested in having a pool/spa/sauna constructed at my place. I know you are busy at the Roberts's place, but I was wondering if someone could come out one day and meet with me to discuss what I have in mind and to see if it is possible."

Ashelyn McDowell

Ashelyn: 18 years old, 5'3, 38ddd-32-38, long curly brown hair, deep caramel toned skin, cock tease.

"But daddy, my room is too small, I can hardly fit my summer wardrobe in that closet! Please I just need approximately 120 more square feet and I will be fine... you can take off that one room, you know the one with the dryer and stuff in it, I get all my clothes dry cleaned any way!"

Throwing one of my finest and most convincing tantrums yet, I got my way once again, daddy would add another 200 square feet to my room, and a deck, and move the washer and dryer into the maids quarters.

I smiled sweetly at my daddy and kissed his cheek as he made the call,Custom Designs of course, we had hired them for the pool we had put in, although that was about 10 years ago. I had been a sweet little girl then...

Ring...Ring... Custom Designs how may I help you? Hiya, this is Robert McDowell, I had a pool installed by you guys some time ago and I.... Mr. McDowell, its Andy, How could I forget, your daughter had more guidelines for that pool then you did. How is little Ashelyn? Well little Ashelyn is not so little anymore, as matter of fact I need to have her room opened up a bit, about 200 square feet and a deck for her as well, do you think that could be done?... I will be out of town for the next 3 weeks but Ashelyn will be around and I would like it done while I'm out... If that's alright by you? Well sir it shouldn't be a problem, let me see what I can do...

Andrew Sanders

Andy looked up when the phone rang. "What's up?" he asked as Dave handed him the phone.

"An estimate" Dave answered. "Nex t door to the Roberts job. Can you take it?
I think you'll like this one. "

Andy eagerly took the phone. Work had been slow lately with the rain and cold weather, It was sunny and bright today, the sunshine always made homeowners anxious to have some improvements done. He hoped this one was outdoors. He loved working on pools, spas and saunas.

"Andrew Sanders speaking. Pool, spa and sauna specialist." he said afirmatively into the phone."

There was a pause as he listened.

"Of course we do free estimates, It would be my pleasure.... Yes, I know the place. Next door to the Roberts home, right?. ....I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Oh and by the way thanks for calling Custom designs."

He hung up the phone, Grabbed his laptop and briefcase and headed for the door.

On the way he gave his partner a thumbs up but Dave was busy with another call. "Yes it was going to be a good day he thought, the sunshine allways meant new customers.

He took the Dodge Ram with the company logo on the side. As he adjusted the seat and mirror he looked briefly at his appearance, He was dressed casual but neat, his tan shorts were complimented by brown sandals and a white shirt left open at the top revealing a sprinkling of salt and pepper chest hairs. He took pride in his appearance and kept himself in shape.Working outside gave his skin a healthy bronze glow and dark brown hair, greying a little at his temples gave him a mature look. He was always clean shaven. His brown eyes looked back at him and he winked at himself as he put his seat belt around his broad shoulders and snugged it up against his firm abs. For 53 he was in fine shape even if he had to say so himself.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Felicia Worthington." he said outloud as he parked at the house next to the one where Eric was working. He liked doing that, saying a name outloud letting the sound of it roll across his tongue. If it was a woman he tried to form an image in his mind of how that woman would look. He was single and he liked it that way he wasn't really a player, so to speak, but he enjoyed female company one on one and felt that the relationships he previously had, were healty and rewarding. He practiced safe sex and never had more than one partner at a time. Right now he was inbetween.

Why he was thinking this he knew of course it always happened when he was meeting a woman he hadn't met yet. Was she married, divorced, have kids?, it didn't really matter. Did he mix business with pleasure? You bet he did, but he was very discrete.

"Felicia Worthing ton" he said again outloud as he stepped out of the truck. to hmself he added "Nice name, He had also discovered that saying a name outloud helped him to remember that name. There was nothing worse than forgetting a womans name and standing there with a dumb assed look on your face, unless it was calling her some other womans name.

"Felicia Worthington?" he said as he approached the woman who he had agreed to meet in her backyard. And to himself he thought, "Third time's a charm." It would be a lone time before hewould forgot this woman's name, or the gorgeous creature it belonged to.

He stuck out his hand. I'm Andy, he knew he had already told her his name once but somehow he wanted her to remember him for a long time too.

Of course when I returned downstairs, Maria, our maid was no where to be found. I finally found her in the garden, smoking a ciggerette, which was forbidden in the house. I was furious...this was not her first infraction, why once we had returned home to find her tanning poolside, when she was supposed to be cleaning for a dinner party I was having that evening, and to make matters worse, Maria was wearing one of my bikini's ! I wanted the lazy girl dismissed immediately, but my husband, Carl, intervened, saying we should give her another chance. Maria cried and pleaded, in Spanish, of course, because she couldn't speak English, which was completely false...because I overheard her talking on the phone, in almost perfect English, to a friend. In the end, Carl, the softy, convinced me to give in and let her stay !

I ordered her, as soon as she was finished, to clean the main guestroom. Or else...

I turned to leave, trying to remain calm, as if I had nothing better to do than chase the help around all day, and as a matter of fact I did have an appointment to get my nails done, I went back upstairs to get ready.
Eric had finished with the measurements, and offered to run down to the truck to get a few marble samples. While waiting, I happened to see another Customs Design truck pull into my neighbors drive, from my bedroom window...

What is she up too now ?? I wondered, being somewhat nosey. How could Felicia possibly AFFORD to have any improvements done to her home ?
That's okay, I still have the biggest, the best home on the block ! And a very wealthy husband...

Felicia

Felicia heard the truck pull up in the driveway and stood up from the deck table where she had all of her ideas and plans that she had downloaded from the internet research. She was very excited about the project. It had been a couple of years since she had done any work on the house. Of course that coincided with the publishing of her last book.

Felicia walked around the corner of the house to meet Andrew Sanders of Custom Designs. He had sounded very enthusiastic on the phone, and Felicia couldn't wait to see if she had created something feasible to build. This Mr. Sanders sounded like he knew what he was doing and would be easy to work with. The people that had done her last job, her master bathroom were horrible. The job had taken twice as long as it was supposed to and had ended up costing more than the orginal estimate. Felicia figured that Custom Designs could be a pretty messed up company and still be better than the other one. The smile that thought engendered was still on her face when she came up on Mr. Sanders.

Her first thought was that he was older than he sounded on the phone and she liked that. He had the look of confidence on his face that comes from experience. As they shook hands, she was impressed with his firm grip. Felicia always liked the impression a firm grip made. She looked down at their hands, hers dwarfed by his. A strong steady hand that showed the signs of belonging to a man that works with his hands was swallowing her hand. She had a image of those hands touching her intimately, and was shaken by that thought. To hide her embarrassment, she turned to lead the way towards the back yard.

Felicia picked up the stack of papers, shuffling through them as if to find a specific page. Her composure restored, she waved towards the other chair, "Please sit. Would you like some sweet tea or there is lemonade and water in the house if you would prefer it?"

Lienna Tyler

"You will find someone for us, won't you, Lienna dear?"

Lienna Tyler bit the inside of her cheek to hold back an explosive sigh. She loved her parents with all her heart, truly, but they were driving her crazy. And as far as she was concerned, it wasn't a very long drive. Sweeping sweat-dampened gold hair back from her face, she leaned to the side, stretching for the phone book near her bed. Lienna's little cottage was uncomfortable in this weather and her AC was currently on 'broken' status.

"Working on it right now, mom," Lienna assured her mother, raising her voice to be heard. She was only twenty herself, but she'd been a late baby. Her mother was fifty-five and going deaf in one ear; it was a genetic thing, which would hopefully skip her generation.

"Let me know when you find someone, dear," her mother went on. "You know, we've wanted to do something different for awhile now, but it wasn't until after that hurricane..."

Lienna listened with half an ear as she flipped through the phonebook. Contractors...she needed someone who could do the work her parents wanted. Her mother's voice faded into the background as she searched. Lienna paused in her search, a smile touching the corners of a mouth her poet friend had once described as 'sensually full'. Custom Designs...well, that was percisely what she was looking for.

With some effort and the Jaws of Life she managed to pry her mother off the phone. Lienna dialed the number quickly, then dropped back onto her bed as she listened to the phone ringing. Five foot nothing, slender and petite, she took up hardly any room on the comfy cozy Queen size. When the other end was finally picked up she let out a sigh of relief.

"Yes, hello, um...my name is Lienna Tyler. It's kind of a long story
...I need some advice and a possible estimate on some construction work...my parents' home, actually..."

Andrew Sanders

The first thing he noticed about his prospective customer was her smile, sort of like the cat who had just swallowed the canary. Along with a pair of flashing green eyes and shimmering dark brown hair he half expected her to begin purring.

When he shook her hand, he watched her looking down at the place where they were connected and he had the feeling she was looking for something more. The moment passed and she turned to lead him towards a table and two chairs. “A glass of ice water would be great if it’s not too much trouble.” He said when she asked him if he wanted something to drink.

He sat down in a chair and looked around while she was gone. She had a nice piece of property, though her neighbor’s mansion dwarfed it somewhat. Nice view of the ocean, but a pool would be a nice addition. The odd shape of her property might prove to be difficult to work with, these kinds of lots looked bigger than they were and when you tried to put what you needed in them they tended to look cluttered. He was sure he could pull it off though. He glanced at her papers. She had done her homework. She was obviously the type of woman who knew what she wanted. He liked that, no beating around the bush or indecisiveness to deal with, unless her husband had been doing the footwork for her. But then he hadn’t seen a wedding band and there weren’t any toys scattered around the yard or swing sets, which probably meant no husband or children. He’d find out soon enough, but for now it was a positive sign that he could handle this job just fine.

Relaxing, he listened to sound of the surf and imagined what it would be like to be sitting a in a whirl pool over by the south side of the house, with Felicia and a tall cool drink.

His fantasy was interrupted by a voice behind him. “Here’s your Ice water, Mr. Sanders.”

I was just trying to get a picture of how great your yard would look with a spa and a pool in it.” He looked up to see that same sly grin as if she were saying “gotcha’ big boy.”

“By the way Felicia, Call me Andy please. At Custom Designs we try to maintain an informal relationship with the people we work for.

He got up and waited for her to sit down before he sat down again and took a sip of his water.

Getting down to business he pointed to her paperwork. “I hope you don’t mind but I took a quick look at these. They will help me speed up this estimate and if you accept my bid, save you some money. He opened up his laptop and brought his cad program up on the screen. A few mouse clicks later and he had a diagram of her lot. "Now, Help me here if you will." He moved his chair closer to hers so that he could show her what he had on the monitor. From your plans it look as if the sauna should go next to the house so that you can ener from that room, a bed room right? and then exit to the spa and pool area. Pavers will keep the dirt and grass clipings out of the pool. I'm afraid you're going to have to loose some of this lush green grass. Here's the pool, a heart shaped one, the base toward the ocean. Fit's in nice doesn't it? Small, we haven't much room to work with. Unless you like to do laps, it should do just fine. The spa also, no need for a big one. Unless you have children or lots of intimate friends, a two person one should work for you."

All the while he talked his mouse was clicking in the details of his dialog. He paused and looked over to her. "I'm sorry, seems I've been doing all the talking.
Tell me what you would like.... and .....Mr Worthingtons ideas too."

Felicia

I was looking at his computer screen, our bodies close together. I caught a whiff of his cologne, something very light, just enough scent to tease the sense. It inticed a person closer. I was close to her shoulder, as he pointed out some of the attributes of the odd shaped property. He seemed to understand instinctively what I wanted, how I wanted the parts to flow from house to the pool. His upside down heart shape seemed strange at first until he showed me how it fit easily in the property, minimizing the space used and yet giving me as large a pool as possible.

"I would like a spa big enough for two or three, but, you are right, I don't need a lap pool, although I would like to swim I am not going for any swimming trophies."

I explained that I was unmarried and that no children would be needing protection from the pool. "This is a gift to myself for finishing a work project," I explained. "I want something I can jump into when I am hot or relax in when I am tired. But what I would also like to do is find a way to put some border or hedge or wall along the side that borders the neighbors'. Perhaps some overhanging trees or bushes that gives the pool a more tropical feel and provides me with some privacy from the Roberts' second floor balcony.

When he turned to look at me I noticed how warm his brown eyes were. They gave me a feeling of reassurance that he knew exactly what he was doing. I felt that my house and I were safe in his hands. I liked the lines around his eyes, I knew some of them were from working in the sun but I could also tell that this was a man that laughed a lot.

"Andy, does Custom Design handle landscaping also or would that have to be done by someone else?"

Andy

I had forgotten how close two people were when they were looking at the same laptop computer screen, and I was glad that I had splashed on a little of my favorite cologne when I shaved this morning. I was a construction worker but right now I was glad that I didn’t smell like one.

As I listened to her soft yet confident responses to my questions and comments, my other senses were at work also. The warmth of her body was just inches from mine. It carried her scent, the scent of a woman enhanced by her perfume, a perfume that blended perfectly with her body chemistry. Her sparkling green eyes looked trustingly at me like she was expressing her innermost secrets when in fact she was just responding to my general observations. I was finding out more about this woman than she knew she was providing. She appeared to be content with life and her place in it. When she talked about her marital status and the absence of children she did it in a positive brief way, no whining about the past, no “should have” or “could haves.”

Her need for privacy was evident when she talked about landscaping, and I couldn’t help but smile and burst out rather unprofessionally. “ I ‘d love to do your landscaping Your property has so much potential, and you are right, We do need to create some privacy. A pool and a spa in the backyard will give you the opportunity to let yourself go after a hard days work. You need to feel comfortable and free enough to relax, indulge in some frivolous carefree personal fun.” I looked up at the upstairs balcony next door, and added quietly, as if I were telling her a secret. “You don’t need someone watching you do you?”

I went on enthusiastically “Trees, you need trees” The fresh air can come in under them and the foliagewill give you the privacy you need from above.” Just think of it! Tall sturdy palms an eucalyptus or two. Shade and, privacy."

Felicity looked at me as if I’d lost my mind and I began to laugh, It would take years for them to grow big enough to do any good. What was I thinking? We need something now.”

She laughed too, caught up in my exuberance. “Hedges, fences,” I speculated, “No too constrictive. I’ve got it”!

I changed quickly to another program. One that showed pictures of some of the landscaping work I had done, over the years. “Here we are” I said as I clicked onto a grouping of trellises and arbors. She leaned over to get a closer look. Her hair brushed my face and then as our cheeks briefly touched, a spark snapped between us. We both pulled away. Static electricity, I said rather uneasily. But it was more than that, for it created that hollow yearning feeling somewhere deep inside of me that told me something else was going on between us.

My computer screen was growing dim. Batteries going dead, "Isaid. "Have you got a place I can plug into? And I‘ll show you some of the trellis and arbor work I’ve done. I’m sure it will be exactly what you need."

I closed my laptop and waited for her answer. Looking again into those trusting eyes I put my hand over hers. No sparks this time just a warm comfortable feeling. “I was thinking, Felicia, about this gift you are giving yourself. I think it's wonderful. Sometimes we get caught up in doing things for each other and forget about our own needs. I’m sure you’ll be very happy with this gift and I’m happy I can help you have it.

Eric headed off to his truck to grab the samples when he noticed the other work truck at the neighbors house. Wow, word of mouth spread around this place quickly if Andrew was already doing a walkthrough for another job. He smiled to himself, yep, this was just one of those times where business was going to be on the upswing for awhile, a fact that meant some healthy pay checks coming his way. Just then, his cell phone rang, his Dad on the other end of the line.

"Yeah Eric, I need you to head on down to another job, an estimate for a lady named Lienna Tyler. She didn't sound like she knew exactly what she wanted to do so go down and give her a lil nudge. Also, once your done there check on Andrew real quick. Tell him he has to go down and check out a room expansion for a Mr. McDowell."

"Ok Dad, not a problem. Hey, don't forget that if I manage to get this bid, ya owe me the 10% fee. Only reason I say anything is I really need the cash, you know how it is. Anyways, I'll drop by office sometime later and drop off all the info for the jobs. See ya Dad."

Eric headed back in the house and showed a few samples to Jessica before she picked out a nice rose looking marble with an off white grout. Eric made the appropriate notes and smiled, thanking her for her time before heading out the door. He placed a fast call to Andrew as he hopped back into his truck, making sure that Andrew had his job in hand before Eric took off for the new estimate.

I leaned closer to the screen to see some pictures of Andy's landscaping, not realizing how close we were until my cheek brushed his and we both jumped and exclaimed, "Static Electricity!" Laughing as we said the words at the same time. But I pulled back a little, there was a funny fluttering in my stomach that I hadn't felt for so long I almost didn't recognize it. Once I labeled it as desire, I immediately pushed the thought away.

This man had come here to do a job, not expect me to fall all over him. I would treat him like the professional he was and not let hormones get in the way. It had been awhile since I had been with anyone, so I convinced myself that it was just a hormonal spurt and nothing more. I figured if I repeated it to myself long enough I might believe it.

Andy had continued to talk while I got myself in hand. When his screen blinked, he asked if we could get closer to an outlet. He had some trellis work he wanted to show me. Andy was easy to talk to and seemed to understand my need for privacy. From the look he gave the Roberts' estate I figured he knew the reputation of either Jessica or her husband. Both were considered sharks, he was a business shark, always looking for a small company to take over, and Jessica? Well Jessica was just shark, she was a man-eater. She went through men the way Andy's mouse was skimming through files on his computer.

I suggested we go into the house and set up at the kitchen island. There was room to spread out and a convenient outlet. As we spread out my papers and his ideas, I asked if we could put a couple of outlets on the patio area. He was so enthusiastic about my project that I felt my own excitement deepening. He printed out several sheets of paper with the ideas we had discussed and the suggestions for the landscaping. Then he went back out to his truck and returned carrying a large case. When he opened it I was happy to see a bunch of colored tiles. We talked about all the places that would need stone or tiles. I turned over each tile and played with various combinations.

Andy stood and began to close up his computer. He then informed me that he would leave all the printouts, samples, and price quotes. He would call tomorrow and set up a new appointment in three days time and we could talk about my decisions then.

I was sorry to see him go, I had been having a marvelous time talking with him, but I knew he had other clients. I walked him to his truck, and we continued to talk. He mentioned that he thought that rewarding myself was a great idea. I smiled up at him. There was a moment when our eyes met, my stomach tilted and we became still. I wanted to feel his lips on mine, to discover his taste. The urge was so strong it scared me, and I stepped back quickly. Covering my sudden movement by shifting from the truck so that he could get inside.

I watched him settle into the seat, and turn on the engine. As he pulled away, he looked at me and I had the sensation of something being torn from me. Shaking away the odd sensation, I went back into the house and started thinking about pools and spas and saunas. I made sure I did not wonder what it would be like to share the one of those items with Andy.

It was much, much too hot in her little place. Lienna lounged on the little span of wood that constituted as her front porch, in front of one of those archaic looking fans that moved slightly back and forth. Her hair was pinned up off her neck, but that didn't stop the heat. The thin cotton of the camisole she wore clung to her; she'd drenched it with a glass of water to cool herself off but that had only helped a small bit. All this, her AC not working, and she had to plan the design for a new house for her parents. It was too much.

Lienna reached into the glass she was holding for one of the rapidly melting ice cubes. She touched it to her neck, yelping despite herself as the frozen ice touched her hot skin. Maybe she should have searched the phonebook for someone who could repair her AC while she'd been at it. The problem was that she didn't have the money.

With a shake of her head she rose and went inside to refill her water glass. Even though the bottled stuff was cold, she still added ice to it. Shaking the ice in the glass, Lienna headed back inside, just in time to see a truck pull up. She lifted a hand to wave politely; always friendly, that's what her parents had taught her. Resting the glass of ice water against the curve of her neck, she waited patiently on the porch.

I lounged in a warm bubble bath as I read the latest cosmo, listening to Led Zepplin as loud as I could get it on the stereo. Daddy didn't like my loud rock music, but daddy wasn't here, so I didn't care. I slipped out of the tub after a few more minutes, finishing up steamy read about the hottest sex positions. I stood nude in my bathroom, looking around, it was about the same size as the average persons bedroom and had everything imaginable..in pink!

I wrapped my hair in a towel and walked into my room. I fumbled with the buttons on the stereos remote control until Led was blasting in my room through the internal/flush speakers in the walls. I giggled and danced around my room for a few seconds before putting on my slippers. Now in only high heeled slippers and a towel on my head, I walked into my closet. Not only was is jam packed with clothes, there were shoes flooding the floor and everything was a mess. I had went on a recent shopping binge and even those clothes were still in there bags. I rummaged through the things in my closet and then the things I had bought and pulled out an outfit.

I smiled to myself as I looked at the little white tube top with the pocketin the front and the tiny orange ruffle skirt that matched the logos that went along the top of the shirt. I slipped onthe clingy little top, not even considering a bra, as my breasts were still quite firm and perky dispite there size, besides there was a built in one in the top. I giggled and slipped on the tiny skirt, setting it happily right below my hips, only inches above my sweetly shaven mound. Still giddy I walked over to my underwear drawer and pulled out a simply cotton white g-string slipping it on under the skirt resting it on my hips, above the skirt. I slipped on some white and orange flip flops and walked back into my bathroom.

Switching the music back once more I began on my hair, putting my thick chocolate curls into low pigtails on either side of my head. I slicked on some lip gloss and put an orange and white baseball cap, sliding the bill to the back. A few rich brown locks of hair fell near my face and I smiled. I ran down stairs and waited for the Construction people, making myself a smoothie as I read the notes daddy had left me for the next few weeks:

Ash-
Give the maid her pay check on friday...every friday
Don't drink the liquor
No more then three friends at the house at a time
Be nice to the construction people
NO BOYS IN THE HOUSE EVER!
Keep your curfew
I left a few bucks on the fridge in case you and the girls get hungry or something

Love, Daddy

I snatched the peice of paper off of the the fridge and crumpled it up, slipping the 3 one hundred dollar bills in my purse and giggling.

" What ever you say daddy...what ever you say."

I smiled to myself and drank my smoothie. I walked outside to the back yard and onto the beach sitting with my toes in the sand as I waited for the Construction people.

Eric slammed the truck into park and started digging through the cab for his stuff. Organization was not one of his strong points so it took Eric a few moments to again find his pad of paper, pen and tape measure. Once he finally tracked all that back down, he finally looked up at the person on the porch. What his eyes saw was posibly the tiniest woman Eric has ever seen. Maybe 5 feet and 110 soaking wet with a blanket on, she looked like a lil doll. Eric smiled inwardly to himself, today was just that great day where all the attractive women in Flordia hired Custom Designs!

He made his way towards the porch with a smile and an extended hand towards the woman. "Hi there Miss Tyler, my name is Eric Matthews from Custom Designs Construction. You called us this morning and requested that we come out for an estimate and a little bit of help?" As they shook hands, Eric noticed how her tiny lil hand simply disappeared in his, that causing another little smile. Eric by nature fancied himself a dominant and finding himself single, 20 and horny, all these women were starting to look like delicious lil play things. Of course he couldn't instigate anything, that would be his ass, but if the women just happened to come onto him, well it was all fair game at that point. All these thoughts skipped through his head at a lightening pace while he tried to keep focused on the job at hand. "May we head inside Miss Tyler and see what you'd like to do?"

They made their way inside, Lienna leading the way and Eric admiring her from behind. Instantly Eric noticed how incredibly hot it was in the cottage and couldn't help but comment. "AC on the fritz Miss Tyler? I could fix it for you if you like, probably wouldn't be that hard to do." He let the offer hang in the air, wondering if he could leverage this offer for maybe something more.....

The young man from Custom Designs had left in quite a rush, leaving me high and dry, and I was not a very happy person. He probably was going to the other side of town to service the poor riffraff who lived there. I was ready to call my hubby Carl and blame this all on him, I mean, he always seemed to abandon me...leave me here to sort out all these frustrating household demands, to take care of the useless maid, cook, pool cleaners, and gardeners, not to mention our bitchy neighbor, Felica or whoever, who was now having her eyesore of a home remodeled or repaired ! If it was up to me, I would have her whole house bulldosed over. She didn't even belong in this neighborhood...I was so glad I had blocked her membership to our exclusive country club last year !

With a look of comtempt, I glanced at Felica's house, which reminded me of those dreadful shacks back home in North Carolina, and went back inside to call Carl at his office...

The day after my meeting with Andy Sanders, I was sitting on the patio looking out over the ocean. It was one of those glorious Florida days where the humidity was at a reasonable level, the breeze coming off the ocean kept the temperature at the perfect level. I could hear it make the scalloped edging on the umbrella, shading the table, rustle. On days like this I was glad I had decided to move here. Yes the neigbors were a little hoity-toity but the view and peaceful environment couldn't be beat.

My publisher had called to tell me that there was a couple of book signings coming up in a month. So I dutifully went into the house and put the dates in my date book. She also asked if I had started the next book yet. I laughed and said that I would soon, I was looking for inspiration. When I sent my first manuscript into the company hoping that someone would like it, it didn't occur to me that anyone would expect a second one or put a deadline to its creation. I had spent three years working on the first one, worrying over each detail. Now, twenty-five books later, I had learned to work on a set schedule. But after every book's submission, I made sure I took two weeks vacation. And I was only a few days into this break.

I took my pile of stone and tile samples out to the patio and looked them over carefully. I wanted to make sure I chose something I would be happy with. I held each sample out in front of me, squinting my eyes at it, trying to imagine what the back yard would look like. I finally decided on a gray stone that was natural to the Florida area, even though it came from the panhandle area. It had different shades of color ranging from almost white to a very dark gray and I liked the variety. I chose a dark blue tile for the pool itself, with white tiles to set in a pattern symmetrically with the blue. Then I chose a type of lighting, a heating unit and an electric cover. By the time I had made all those choices, the sun was high overhead. I set the material to the side along with the notepad where I had been making notes.

Closing my eyes I leaned the chair back, sighed with pleasure as the cooler breeze flowed over my body. The tank top and shorts I was wearing were too warm for the weather, so I slipped out of them and moving my chair into the sun, I coated my body with a sunscreen. I had been in Florida long enough to have a light tan and a huge respect for Mother Nature. I turned onto my stomach, undid the strap to my suit, and dozed lightly. I knew it was dangerous to fall asleep in the sun, but I wasn't worried. I had set my watch alarm for thirty minutes and then left the watch on the nearby table where I could hear it.

As I lay there, my mind wandered. I wondered what it was about me that got Jessica Roberts into such high emotions whenever we saw each other. I had no real feelings for the lady one way or the other, but found it amusing that she could harbor such resentment towards me. I didn't know much about her, other than she supposedly came from North Carolina and was spoiled by her husband and presumably her father before him. When I first arrived in Florida I had tried to do the neighborly thing, so I applied to the local country club. I couldn't have cared less about belonging to it, but having just finished my tenth novel and having reached the financial status of one that could afford to buy my own house in this area, I felt I owed it to my new found status to join up. When my decline letter came I wasn't particularly upset. I wasn't the Country Club type anyway. I found out a couple of months later that Jessica Roberts had black balled me. I never found out why, didn't really care, and apparently put Mrs. Roberts in a huff because I didn't call to find out why. I chuckled with the memory. I am sure that if looks could kill I would have been dead a thousand times. That lady has one evil eye.

One of these days I would have to include her in one of my books, maybe even dedicate the book to her. "Boy that would sure twist her panties," I thought, although I couldn't swear that the lady did wear panties. Chuckling at the thought of the look on her face when she found out I had dedicated some trashy pulp romance novel to her, I retied my suit, got up and turned off the alarm, reset it for thirty minutes then laid down on my back.

Settling my sunglasses on my eyes, I closed them as my mind wandered in a different path. Andy Sanders. Even the name was masculine. I pictured him as he had looked, casual but professional. His face was ruggedly handsome rather than model handsome. The lines put there by sun and time. He was older somewhere in his late forties or early fifties. A man that knew who he was and where he was going. I had always found mature men more appealing and had never dated anyone less than five years older than myself. I wondered what it would be like to go out with Andy. He seemed the type to respect females, to know how to be a pleasant companion. I wondered if he was as hot in bed as he was too look at. When my mind reach that part I opened my eyes. Definitely time to get out of the sun, it was baking my brain.

I caught a movement in the corner of my eye and turned my head to see Felicia Roberts on her balcony, even from here I could see the evil eye she pointed in my direction. Feeling daring, I waved a friendly wave in her direction and smiled broadly. Then sliding back into my shorts and top, I gathered my samples and watch and headed inside, where the air conditioning had kicked in and the shower awaited.
