Cursed (closed for katalynn)
looking for someone to play a beautiful young girl!
I'm very hungry.
I haven't eaten for two days, and food is scarce. Twice I've been close to a rabbit, but the first one dived into a hole just before my jaws could close over him, and the second leapt into a huge bramble-patch, I can't follow him in there, even with my thick fur. I still have the taste of rabbit in my mouth, it's driving me insane.
I pad my way wearily down to the pool. Maybe my luck will change soon. I bend my head to take a drink of cool water, and drink long and deep. When I raise my head again, the feeling of hunger has subsided a little, but it's still there, gnawing away. I look at my own reflection.
Over six foot tall, covered in thick brown hair from muzzle to clawed feet. How did this happen? I know of course, but it's more of a rhetorical question these days. I open my mouth, turning it a little from side to side, almost admiring the sharpness of my white teeth. Dark brown eyes, too, they still have a human quality in them, but it's the only visible sign of humanity, and if I'm particularly enraged or hungry, as I've felt many times coming to drink or reflect at this pool, they turn almost completely black.
I used to be human, completely human, now my humanity is trapped in this - this- creature's body, fighting daily with wolf-like instincts, and it seems that gradually the wolf is winning. I only crave meat to eat - I can't stand the thought of anything else - and fresh blood is as exciting to me as anything that went before in my human life. But some vestiges of my humanity remain - the sexual desires I experience are all for human females, and the thoughts I have in that direction are entirely those I had in my human life.
I sit for a while by the pool, wondering what on earth I'm going to do. I'm going to have to find a way to lift this curse - but I'm becoming more and more resigned to my fate. I'm just about to get up and leave, when I hear a rustling in the reeds opposite. Instantly I'm alert, crouching down close to the ground, ears pricked - it must be a rabbit, this time I'll make sure it doesn't get away...........
