In addition to what you are already doing, especially if you are a bit shy, might want to consider checking out a swingers bar/club. NASCA has a list of clubs all over the country..Good thing about a swingers club is that you can get a glimpse into the lifestyle without having to do anything but have a drink or two, get a feel for things, meet some people, ask some questions, network... work into it real easy. Lots of friendly folks. A lot of clubs have a membership only policy, but most clubs have arrangements and orientations for newbs and if you know someone that already has a membership... usually you can get in as their guest.
