Curious but interested, trying to figure myself out, Maryland

I'll be honest I'm straight but I'm not even sure anymore. I had a friend who is trans, and she was super sweet and beautiful and I felt an attraction to her but nothing ever happened and she ended up moving away :( I'd like to try and find someone like her. I'm not a close minded person, I'm very open and accepting, and tbh last time I posted something like this I got hate for not knowing this or that was a slur, so sorry if I offend not my intention, like I'm trying to say I'm new to all of this so I don't know everything, but I want to so I can be more understanding and not look like an ass saying the wrong thing. I'm 23 btw, and anywho feel free to message me, talk about anything and everything!

Hi

I should've just posted this as a reply. I understand where you are. I'm going through the same. Where are you geographically?

I saw your post yesterday and was worn out from arguing on facebook.

You're not sure anymore? So? Maybe you're evolving and maybe you have plateaued. Wait and grow some more and things will shake out.

If someone posts hate then they are not someone who's opinion you want. You aren't required to share your identity to someone, just go with the flow, do what makes you happy. Granted I'm closeted, but I don't need the bullshit that goes with forcing my identity on others. Whose business is it anyway?

I think being curious is only natural and it can be a real struggle as we are so programmed to think in very black and white terms when it comes to our sexuality. But a lot of people have voyaged down the path you are curious about and there are very real women who are Trans who are thoughtful and reflective on what it means. The main thing is, don't reduce them to just a type - they are individuals, with personalities, and likes and dislikes, with fantasies themselves. There are some threads on here where others share their experiences and insights - read up. I'm sure there is a lot on the wider web too.

Seek and you shall find!

And eventually we all do fine. I will say that at 23 I don’t think you will, unless you were very lucky. I think I was in my 40s before I realized and understood the kaleidoscope of sexuality. The key is being patient and accepting where you are now and not to worry about later.
