I have no problem attracting guys but find it much more difficult to find other women who are looking for the same thing I'm looking for. Well, yea, there are other bi-curious women out there, but finding one in the right city is the problem. I've been looking in NE Florida for a while. I'll be in NYC for New Years though.

What outwardly visible signs do you wear/have that indicate you might welcome that kind of attention? Typical ones that might help you are:

Wearing a higher count of earrings in the right ear than the left ear;
Wearing a necklace, pendant, bracelet or tshirt with the bisexual colors (or lesbian color, or a lamda, or a pink triangle, or rainbow of teddybears, or plain rainbow);
Wearing toe rings visibly*;
Wearing a thumb ring*.

Not everyone who does these things (*) is bi-sexual or lesbian, but they are generally accepted signals within the community, and I've never met anyone who has done them that takes offense at being misidentified. Perhaps you should look up a gay pride store (I'm sure NYC has a number of them) and obtain at least a bi-colors necklace that you can wear out...

Really? I would have thought it was fairly easy... I'm constantly getting hit on by bi and gay men (sorry guys, not my thing at this point in my life, although I'm very flattered and always welcome another friend). For men, the signals are often less obtrusive unless they are specifically trying to be 'out': a certain form of hair cut between the front of the ear and the forehead can often trigger gay-dar, for example (find a gay hairstylist and tell him/her). Or again, certain jewlery (wear an uneven number of ear rings, with at least one more on the right than the left, or wear a bracelet with a lamda symbol engraved). To be less bold, put the symbols on your car instead of your person: rainbox or bi colors in a thin stripe across the top of the rear windshield, rainbow teddy bear bumper sticker, that sort of thing.
