I am still new here, so don't know that many people yet...but I do come here to convers with others (or the hopes of), to giggle at the comic relief I find at times and just to relax from the craziness in RL

My answer is both. I did want very much to meet someone like minded when I first came here, but I have put that aside now.

The more time I spent here, the more I found a very real enjoyment in interacting with others. I have met people from here in person, and these friendships are very special. I have met people here that I will NEVER meet in person, and these are equally as special. I have conversed with some that though they may not realize it, they touched something inside me, and made a difference in my life. I have read things here that I never responded to that profoundly made a difference. The best thing is when someone says something that totally changes your way of thinking, for the better, and that means so much to me. Thsi is a venue that is immersed in opinions and knowledge and intellect, there is much to be gained here.
