Besides this... what hobbies do you partake in? I'm big on various arts of drawing, music, acting, dancing, anything somewhat creative.. "creative arts" i'll call them...

So if you have any hobbies... it'd be interesting to know...

train collections?
stamp collections?
drawing?
painting?
dancing?
lots of meditating?
etc....

and if you have pictures of anything you have or made that would be awesome. :D

i figure i'll add a pic of my own.

this is one of my drawings...
(christina ricci as cat woman)

I have a great passion for pretty much any kind of visual art...photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures...

Love dancing, and music of course.

I like to draw, play my bass guitar, and write short stories... It's almost like meditation for me... I just zone out, forget all my toubles, and focus on the moment... Kinda like sex... :D

Painting, I guess thats one hobby I can admit to.
Making things grow...esp if I can consume the results.
I would like to learn to brew my own beer.

My junior year physics teacher made his own beer in his basement... he was an intresting man.

Good thing it wasn't your chemistry teacher brewing stuff in the basement.

I have a model train collection (all in storage while I am at school  )
I draw:
in Pencil
charcoal
conte crayon
chalk
pastels
pen and ink
I am attempting to learn the Bass guitar (time permtting)

And I like to think that Architecture is my number one hobby... though it may be more of an obsession (just like my predeliction for women :D )

I enjoy dressage and hunt seat riding, love reading, like to fish, and enjoy hiking with the dogs.

I can sing and play piano, on the artistic front, but other than that, I'm afraid I'm utterly incapable of any form of drawing or painting. Unless it's stick figures. :D

Read, write, play on my computers, adore anime (if the AV's weren't a hint) and also enjoy putting together puzzles.
Yup- jigsaw puzzles. Something oddly calming about doing that, chatting with hubby about our day, listening to music.
Yeah, good thing.

ahh man i wish i had more hobbies like riding and such.. my dad takes me shooting every nowa dn than and i have a bow and some crappy arrows... but i don't do as many outdoorsey things as i should...

Hobbies... you know I've never really seemed to have time for them.

At one point music was my thing, so much so that I wanted to do it for a living. Then I got burnt out. So now I just appreciate it from affar. Still, not really a hobby.

I sort of go from thing to thing. Perhaps I'm ever so slightly ADD? Currently I am doing a baby announcement crosstitch - for my 3 year old son. I started it ages ago and have picked it up and put it down again several times as things have come up. I figure I better finish it in the next few weeks if I am ever going to.

Sometimes I like baking. Or home decorating. Or planting flowers. I am not particulary domestic though so most of these little projects are sad disasters, which may be why I tend to abandon them half way in.

For a long time I was really, really into Disney stuff.

I used to love target shooting with a bow and arrows... I don't remember when I stopped doing it.

Once it starts to warm up though, you can't keep me inside the house anymore. It's just too gorgeous to pass up the spring/summer/fall.

Riding's an expensive habit, but I have to say, it's my one real love. I have a once in a lifetime horse I got in January, and I'll be gentling her to saddle this summer. (hopefully without any broken bones on my part :D )

Good thread.. no one ever asks questions like these...

I paint, sculpt, sketch, design tattoos, etc.

I do some light macrame (wove a set of engagement rings for friends of mine who couldn't afford real rings yet.. they thought it was sweet.. and I'm weaving a bracelet for Him, at his command.. *smile* My first gift to Him was a bracelet I made, and it broke recently, so I'm creating a replacement)

I like to read, and when my exams are done, I'm hoping to go through the Hobbit, and LOTR series again, and then try the Silmarilion (did I spell that right?)

I like sports. Volleyball, badminton, bocce (bacce?)

I like watching movies.

I love to cook.

I enjoy Yoga.

I actually kind of enjoy cleaning. (It's therapeutic)

I dye my hair. Yup, it's a hobby. Once a month, it changes, in some way.

I enjoy thinking. That sounds odd, but I have consciously realized that I enjoy mulling over ideas and facts in my head, and forming ideas and opinions.

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them right now.

This is a great topic! Just a few:

Movies
Reading
Crochet
Knitting
Sewing
Cooking
Target practice (though my rifle hasn't seen any action for quite sometime)
Geneology/Family history

I collect:

Unicorns, but only those given as gifts
Special notes/letters from friends and loved ones

The Simarilion was a bitch to read... just to let you know. lol.

I love to read and write down things that I liked about the book. Culture, mideival fantasy (lotr, forgotten realms and dragonlance) are my big two.... then there are authors like Chuck Palahniuk and James Glieck.

Kyacking when it is nice, I enjoy going sky diving once a year too... I'm looking to get into a rock climbin gym as well.

I love walkin my pup since I'm too asthmatic to really get into hiking.

Photography of all sorts
I enjoy working with my hands, although I'm not very good at art, I still like to play with clay and painting when I get the chances to.

Role playing and making up tabletop AD&D story lines (uber geekish, i know... but i don't care!)

day dreaming

Writing... of all sorts ;)

Lit, sort of at night, it has become part of my routine.

Planning: parties, dinner parties, mini outings, nice dinners for myself and my SO. events... i'm a big organizer like that.
Cooking, LOVE to cook. HATE to bake.

Music... I live, love , breath music. Playing my couple of instruments, and listening to music everday is a huge part of my life... I'm also in a community concert band and another orchestra.

in the fall i like to crochet a bit for friends and myself, i come to looking foward to my new scarf and hats :)

honestly, I really like driving too, long trips, its nice to live in VT sometimes where everything is "down the road a bit."

Blue- you're not the only AD&D'er here.
Been learning 3.5 lately- bit weird but some interesting new stuff. Specially the Unearthed Arcana.
Yeah, if that's Uber-geekdom, then I'm a happy duchess of Uber-geek-land.

I love reading, listening to music, dancing, watching movies, playing my guitar and the piano, being outside, working in the garden, taking care of animals, riding horses, swimming, surfing, painting (although I am really bad at it), cooking, writing, traveling, meditating and so much more …

yay!! Since I have an obsession with Dragonlance, I've been working on campaigns for that setting for the past few months. Damn those books for being expensive!

I've been an AD&D er for ages, but haven't done anything with it since, oh, the mid 90's? I have all of my source books stored away, stopped collecting and playing about the time the 2nd edition stuff started flooding the market with the thin sourcebooks for each class. I will probably end up e-bay -ing them, especially since some of them are getting quite rare now... that tends to happen when they are first edition for some reason...

I love writing, reading, drawing and some artwork(pastels, watercolor, charcoal), i also crochet and do cross stitch, used to ride(haven't for a bit), photography, gardening.
