What about the new trend of CULINARY DOMINATION. I was talking to one of my vanilla friends about what foods we like and dislike, and I made a comment that "whoever I marry will need to learn how to cook better than me, and I'm a damn good cook" and he says, in the most forceful voice I've ever heard him use (and believe me, he's not a strong-willed person) "Well, I don't care if she's a good cook or not, but *I* have certain NEEDS and TASTES that SHE will MEET."

My reply: "Aww, how cute, you think BDSM is crazy, yet you're a culinary Dom"

----------

My point: Flashes of hilarious, dominating brilliance in your vanilla, somewhat anti-bdsm friends that you point out to them to freak them out.

I've heard that way back in the early days of this forum, fungi-ug struck terror into the heart of many subs with a whisk....

Of course, I heard it from him....

Yikes. That sounds amazingly painful.

Back before learning that my intestines are all dysfunctional, I was the total kitchen bitch and a food snob. Now I just eat to live, some frozen veggies and some tuna and I'm happy as a clam.

I prefer being the better cook, as long as someone does the washing up.

See, I don't cook very well. Mostly simple stuff, and I tend to get bored on anything that takes more than 30 minutes or so to cook. Like tonight, put the artichoke in the steamer, light the charcoal and go play on the 'puter til the charcoal's ready. When it's ready, dab the fillet with olive oil, drop some rosemary on the coals and the fish on the grill, flip it when it's browned and lay tomato slices on top. Actual cooking time; 25 minutes, tops.

Yeah, me too. I have no patience with fancy, complicated recipes. And quite frankly I tend to mess them up or burn them cause I loose interest.

but you have to feed munchkins; I just have to feed me.

Munchkins are amazingly easy to feed. They're positively thrilled if I make mac and cheese. It's the big munchkin that's pickier than all get out. For one thing he's a big 'certain food for certain times of the day'. He won't he mac and cheese at dinner, cause that's lunch food, and he won't eat pancake for lunch cause that's a breakfast food.

I was always that way.

Oooooo.... IRON CHEF Lit! Alez Cuisine! (Yes I just massacred french!)

If it is just cooking for myself it's usually something I can just throw together in a few minutes. If I am cooking for others (especially if there is more than 5 or 6) I have lots of things I like do cook, but the amounts that I make of it feed a small army usually.

Can of sardine plus tabasco sauce. Eat @ sink.

Mmmmm only sans tabasco for me these days.

This is sick, but good. No one outside my family does this.

Sardines....cream cheese. Smoosh. On bagel.

Yes, but I can get cheap salmon in Canada. Most of the year, it's actually similar to the good sardines. The problem with the sardines is that the water pack is pricey and I don't like the oil pack.

I do 99% of the cooking here, thou I am by no means a culinary Dom.

I prefer grilling over any other type of cooking, but do to allergies, I am limited as to what ingredients I can use.

Holly and I are both allergic to seafood, so any seafood is out for us:(

Karen is allergic to peppers, so my use of them is very limited.

I will say I make a killer stirfry, and fried rice dish, as well as my lasanga.

And I grill some killer ribs, and pork chops.

More reasons for me to move up there.
