anyone else like this TV show? I love CSI. Having a job like that would be very cool. But, tonight's episode was about revenge. So, of course, my poor son was once more subjected to another long-winded lecture from me about the evils of taking revenge upon others and the consequences of doing so.

Where am I going with this thread? I suppose it is two-fold.

1. Do you tend to take revenge on people who have done you wrong?

2. Do you discuss these type of issues with your children?

I have never seen CSI.

I do talk with my children about issues such as revenge and fair play.

And I don't do revenge.
I am terrible at that sort of thing even if I fantasize about giving someone their "just desserts."
I would have to admit to feeling some pleasure if someone who screwed with me got screwed with as well. That would be the extent of my vengence. (sp?)

CSI kicks major ass..........................What a cool show, I try to watch every week when I can................

Singing...

"Whooooooo are you? Who? Who? Who? Who?"

"I really wanna know...."

This is a cool show, but I stopped watching any TV when I found Lit, it's so much more interesting.

:D

I watched it tonight too. It's a cool show with too much emphasis on sweaters...

I mean for a show about the mind...

I'm glad that some of you on here who have children discuss these issues. I can't remember my parents ever having these type of conversations with me... I learned through trial and error and mostly through my peers' experiences.

Sometimes I think my son has it tough because he has to listen to me lecture all the time, but then, at night as I lie down to sleep, I think... "I'm doing the right thing by talking to him about so many things despite how he rolls his eyes and sighs heavily every time Mama starts into a tirade."

:)

I've never talked with my son about these issues, I parent more by example than anything.

But on the note of Revenge...it's completely useless, and besides it's better to rise above someone else's poor choice of actions or words than to lower yourself to their level. Humbly aloof.

You can never be doing a wrong thing by talking to your children unless you use that as a way to limit their chances to learn things and grow on their own as well. We are social animals, we learn from those around us...

CB? Something from Oscar Wilde:
Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much.

I dunno...

There is revenge and there is malice.

I revenged a loss in the ring.

We revenged the injustice against Kuwait.

I had my ex-wife's boyfriend's girlfriend get some love letters...

It's best served warm...

I don't have kids, so I can't answer to that. but I love CSI. I was even considering it might be fun to write an erotic CSI story for the Celebrities category.

I'm infintile and spiteful at times, though not vengeful (I think.) I try to teach my kids good morals, then it's up to them what they do with it.

I watch CSI and love it. I don't have children but I will always remember something my grandmother told me as a child.

When you seek revenge it only hurts you because you allow hate into your heart and it will destroy you. Eventually those who hurt you will get what they deserve from God. It may take time but you just watch and it will work.

My ex-fiance cheated on me, lied to me and started doing drugs. I called everything off needless to say. I was devasted he was my first love.

A year later I talked to his sister. He married an 18 year old girl with an 18 month old child, she was pregnant. He had his phone turned off for non-payment, his family hated her and stopped talking to him and would have nothing to do with him. He also gained about 80 lbs.

I never had to do a thing. God did.

You, too? I watch 2 or 3 hours a week, at the most. I used to watch that easily in a night. I think I'm wasting a lot of money paying for cable.

I think CSI is such a cool fucking show. Would be so sweet to have a job like that. I might go into that kind of work...

I enjoy the show CSI ... I find forensics very interesting.

No I must say I am not one to go after a person. No one in life has truly deeply hurt me in such a way that I would seek revenge. I would not seek revenge because that is not the kind of person I am...

But, I must confess I have a vivid imagination and can conjure up amazing & coniving "revenge" plots. Usually I think of such things when my g/f's come seeking out my advice as to how to get back @ an ex.

But I am not evil or anything...

Its all good. ;)

1. I do not know what "CSI" is.

2. I do not seek revenge on those who have wronged me, except in my dreams.

3. I do not have a son.

4. I do not know why I replied to this thread, except to stare at Vixen's ass-av.
