I've got a book of quotations and a penchant for word problems, thus, a cryptograms thread was born. Once you solve one, create another, using a quotation, lyrics, something you just made up...whatever you're heart desires.

If you're lazy like me, just Google 'cryptogram creator' to make yours.

For those who haven't done cryptograms before, they're pretty simple. You take a sentence, and substitute a letter for a different letter. To solve one, you have to figure out which letter truly stands for which one. For example,

ULKI KI M BOWAUSZOMF. = This is a cryptogram.

Every time you see a 'U' it really stands for a 'T'. Every time there is an 'I' it really stands for a 'S'. And so on, and so forth. And if you're still confused, I'm sorry. I'm terrible at explaining things.

Here's the first.

I'll give you the hint that the example, and the first one do not have the same pattern :p

Okay, smarty pants...now I see that you're right....God I HATE saying that.

Tekky...do I have to explain everything? The U and T are not the same in the example and the phrase.

Say what now?

In the first one, the real one, which...I guess would be the second one...so, my bad there, I meant to say first real one, U ≠ T and I ≠ S, so, it follows a different pattern than the example.

Yeah, what she said. :)

Yeah, what she said. :)
Oh, the comma threw me off.

I think I'd have to print this out to be able to do it...that option is not available on the Ipad.

My name is Summer, and I have a comma splicing problem.

Yeah, to solve one I would definitely have to write it down....or mark my screen up with Sharpie. Maybe I'll use my idiot (ex)roommate's laptop for that.

Are we supposed to post the answer?...I figured it out.....unbelievable I could do it...isn't it...lol

Sorry it took me a bit to reply. I've been on vacation.

Yes! Please post the answer. Make a new one if you feel so inclined, otherwise I can post another.
