Its great if the person you have a crush on has the same feelings for you. It sucks when they dont know your alive and you have to hide your feelings in order for them not to think your some sort of wierdo.... Anyways, I guess im just saying they suck

i like crushes..i think they are pretty fun...i was noticing last night during pina colada time that i have quite a few crushes..i kept saying things like..."i have a crush on peter gabrielle" or "i have a crush on linkin park" or "i have a crush on chris issac" then finally my sister said...'you have a crush on everyone..' and i guess i kind of do..anyone i think is cool..automatically goes to the crush list!

Crushes are great, I've had them ever since I was in kindergarten and I still remember everyone of my major crushes names and still have fond feelings for them. Which is odd because some of them I haven't heard nor seen them in 10-11 years.

I'm like Amelia, too. I have 1000's of crushes on celebs,(Lila McCann is NOT 1 of them,hehe.) And, I also had a major crush on 1 of my nurses well I was having surgery. Her name was Moira.*sigh*

I get them all the time and I have to be very careful not to let them take me over or I will get hurt. Sometimes I get hurt because it doesn't work out or the person does not reciprocate my interest, sometimes I get hurt because the person isn't right for me or is manipulating me - so I try very hard to keep my feelings in check until I am sure this is a person I truly like and can love. Once I am fairly sure about that then full steam ahead! Even then I have to be careful because I have the tendency to scare people away with my enthusiasm.

As far as celebs - nah, no way; I will never get to know them, and what I do see of them is mostly an act. I like certain ones, and am attracted to some, but a crush? No way.

What you are talking about is love.......THAT is an entirely different story.

A crush is all about fantasy.......it's a temporary infatuation.

I disagree. I started off talking about a crush/infatuation, which can sometimes lead to love - or not. But a crush is not always about fantasy, although there is certainly that element. But if there is absolutely no chance of anything developing, ever, as would be true in the case of a celeb, then there is no crush there for me - just nothing but fantasy, and probably at best just a masturbation fantasy at that.

We probably all have a little different view of what a "crush" is; for me it is something that hopefully could someday develop into a love relationship, hence my comments about crushes on celebs. Now with someone on Lit., someone I could talk to, yeah, I could develop something of a crush, but if there were obstacles in the way that probably couldn't be overcome, then I would have to be careful.

The reason is, as I alluded to earlier, I can easily let my emotions get away from me - it has been so long since I have had a serious face to face relationship, that I am eager, sometimes way too eager, to pursue something that has some slight chance of being such a relationship. Then when it doesn't work out, I get hurt, and I am tired of the hurt - really tired.

I need a sign. I'm too fragile. I have a crush. I told the person, we went out a few times. I end up hurting more than being happy. I still want to be with them, still crush after them, but they've moved on.

Strangely enough, I have no crushes right now. I'm a freak of nature! (Or at least Literotica?)
