Cruise trip....(closed for Jen)

Joey finally made it to the front of the line to have his bags checked to board the ship. Looking up at the massive vessel as security scanned his bag he inhaled the smell of the water and exhaled a happy man! He was leaving his busy schedule and meeting book behind. The next two weeks were only meant for him and whatever adventures crossed his path.

Being a single man in mid 30's and a very successful businessman left him little time to do anything other than work and sleep. So deciding to take this cruise after the boss man booked and paid for it was a relief to him. Joey took his bags after the security handed it back to him thanked hem and loaded the boat. Immediately he went to his cabin and was amazed to find the room the firm had booked him. Huge windows on the top deck of the cabin floor over looking the open water Joey dropped his bags and immediately headed to the mini bar pouring a drink and then looking out the window.

Sitting down he looked over the brochure of all the events and dinners planed for the trip and the places the boat would stop and dock. Sipping the whiskey he kicked his feet up on the table and looked down at the dock where other guests waited and checked in. Joey was ready for an adventure like he had never had and wondered if there was a lady or ladies down there in the line he could share it with!

Deepika had been in love with Raj for few years now, ever since she met him in her first year of college. They have been together since then and when she finished her studies, they decided to take the step in their relationship. She was determined to finish her studying and so decided to give it all and once done, she looked to a better life. He proposed her 3 months before she actually graduated and their big fat Indian wedding was planned over the summer that followed. There was no way she could forget that day ever. It was her dream wedding but thinking back to the summer of 2010, it seemed like a distant memory. The marriage albums had been nicely tucked away in some closet along with the DVDs of their marriage.

Her husband had a career in medicine while she graduated with a Business degree. Smart and sexy...rarely goes together but here god blessed her with everything, even a tall stature and long slender legs. Her boyfriend was smart and was able to woo her when she was new and naive to the whole world of dating. Her Indian parents were like any parents…strict and with cultural values that they had instilled in their daughter. She wasn’t allowed to date and that’s what she exactly did when she went to college away from home. Fortunately, she met him and fell for him. He was her first and last…so much for experience and exploration.

Something about her beauty was so exotic and way different, unique than the girls that you typically see day to day basis. One can easily spot her in the crowd as all the eyes sooner or later would draw towards her magnificent beauty. Her pitch black hair nicely tucked into style of ‘French braids’ that exposed left side of her supple neck and tail of her hair nicely displayed over her right front. She had a white tank top and red and white print jeans on. Something so simple and yet elegant. Standing tall at 5'8” with a slender figure, she was having a casual conversation with a 65 year old lady, standing ahead of her in the line to board the cruise ship. She was a sight that everyone would want to take a close look at and would continue to find their gaze drawn towards her even after finding her standing with some man who might be her partner.

It was then, she pulled out her phone and patted the shoulder of the guy behind her, Indian by his looks, her husband, “Come on. Let’s take a picture!” She said and nudged him when he made a face after putting away the phone he was glued to, talking to some of his clients at the hospital. They posed for a snap with the cruise in the background and before she knew, it was their turn to enter the cruise. They were given an access key that would serve as identification as well as their room key and when done, she and her husband disappeared making an entry into the cruise. First few years of their marriage was fun and exciting. It felt like they never left college since they continued to live as if they were in college, she working part time at some firm and him working part time and setting up his clinic. While it made him tiresome, he had it in him to come home to her and spend some quality time together.

It was just like college except their parents knew and they get to live together. But with marriage, came other responsibilities. She managed to work and do house chores while he managed to work at the hospital and also run his clinic. In short time, he’d earned enough so they moved to a nicer neighborhood and made her quit her work. For past two years, she’s been home and while it has its perks, boredom it its biggest downfall. Since then, she’d tried different hobbies and tries to keep herself entertained. While she had more than enough time to kill, he had no spare time and that had created some invisible rift between the two. She loved him but she complained that he didn’t give her enough time. Not having gone anywhere since over a year and half, she complained and bugged him until he came up with a plan that they go on a cruise to the Carribean, a vacation overall consisting of three weeks in total. It would sail on for two first days and then stopping at few ports along the ride as they'd visit the most famous places there is to see. She couldn’t believe it but was pretty excited and besides, she’d never been on a cruise so this ought to be fun. One small concern of his was that he had to be on call for his clinic as well as hospital since he was on the committee. Since that wasn’t her concern, she only shrugged her shoulders when he told her how it was going to be.

As the evenin began and the ship finally left the port Hoey decided he was ready for dinner. After unpacking and reading the materials in the cabin he learned of the dinner parties. During these parties you show up to the main ball room and are seated according to your parties size. You are seated with guest you do not know at a huge round table in order to help meet new people. Joey alone figured "what the hell? Maybe I will meet a few folks to hang out with for the evening."

Putting on a new shirt and a pair of slacks he checked his hair in the mirror and headed down to the ball room. The hostess kind of looked at him funny when he stated he was the only one in his party and but nonetheless was lead to a table that was half full. As he introduced himself to everyone already seated he turned and looked at the empty seat next to him and wondered who would be seated on this side. Hoping and wishing that it is better than the grandpa sitting to his left and if it wasn't he migh have to excuse himself from dinner early tonight!

Since they were going to be on the cruise for almost two weeks, they figured it would be better to empty everything so things can be found easily. It was already evening and so they decided to get ready for dinner and leave the room.

Though, there was still time for dinner, she suggested that they go walk around the top deck, see what else they have for activities for tonight. When they were done strolling, they head for the restaurant where they’d have dinner. Noticing how there were all sorts of groups on the cruise. There were couples as well as groups of 5 to 15 as they all had things to do around the cruise.

Given they were only two, they were going to have to share the table at the dinner…which she wasn’t looking forward to. She even complained to her husband how they should request to get a different table comes tomorrow. But for today, it would be okay. She had a floral, sleeveless dress on that came to her knees, completing her outfit with matching heels. By the time they arrived and a waiter ushered them to a table, there were only two chair empty, which was theirs to take. She let her husband move first, watching him leave a chair for her, on his right so she swiftly moved to take a seat and smiled to the guy sitting next to her and then everyone else on the table.

A few moments after arriving and be served a drink Joey looked up to see a couple around his age approaching the table with the hostesses. As they were seated he was quite intrigued as the wife was seated next to him. As they made eye contact Joey was taking a drink from his glass of whiskey.

She smiled at him and then everyone else around the table. Joey say his glass down cleared his throat and admired the beauty until they settled into their seats. Once both her and her husband were settled Joey looked over at them both making eye contact with her but diverting the conversation to her husband to be polite. "Good evening! I am Joey!" He says softly extending his strong well built arm and large hand across the table in front of the beauty to take her husbands hand.

She was courteous in her ways, stepping in as she ran her hand over the curve her butt and her thighs, straightening her dress before taking a seat. Her perfume would fill the air around her to a point where the person sitting next to her would be able to get a hint of the scent she was wearing.

Just as she was turning to look at her husband, she found a man on her right, making eye contact with her. She smiled softly and felt as if she looked silly as he diverted the conversation to her husband, nodding along with her husband as he reached across her. She watched him shake their hands and when her husband introduced her, she extended hers, turning slightly towards him, “It is nice to meet you.” She said, smiling at him as she reached for her glass of wine that was already filled for the guests.

Making eye contact with the beautiful woman next to him Joey returns her smile with his. Breaking the stare not make it uncomfortable he reaches across her and introduces himself to her husband. He introduces him and then his beautiful wife to him. As she reaches for his hand he softly takes her small fingers in his large palm. "The pleasure is all mine!" He says softly looking into her eyes with a look of more than a friendly grin.

Sitting back in his seat he turns his direction in their way. "So what brings you two on this adventure?" He asks looking at her husband then directly at her once again. His eyes on her with full attention. "Myself am here for a break form reality! I just had to get away!"

The couple smiled at the guy, introducing themselves to him as they took in the rest of the people that were on the table. She watched him introduce himself to her husband and then her, finding his strong grip around her gentle hand, picking up her scent into his palm in the process. She only smiled softly back at him as she found him look into her almond shaped eyes.

She turned to her husband but quickly turned again towards the stranger whose name she knew now, hearing him ask them a question. “Just vacationing. Never been on a cruise and I think it was time we took a cruise and a vacation.” She chuckled and her husband added, “I got seasick last time I was on a cruise so I just hope it doesn’t come to that this time.” He said and smiled at his wife and Joey. Her husband added, “Aren’t we all? For a break from reality. But I tell you, sometimes the reality just don’t want to leave you alone.” He said as he was still on call, meaning he’d have to tend to calls and conferences while on vacation.

Joey listened to the pretty lady next to him speak with excitement about never being on a cruise before. Watchin her pretty mouth move and taking in the sexiness of her eyes. There was no doubting that he was highly attracted to this woman. When her husband began to speak as well Joey slightly turned his attention to him but then focused back in on her as he began to ramble.

Her beautiful dark hair was the perfect shade to compliment her sun kissed skin. The way the bright colored dress fit to her body. There was no hiding it that this woman was absolutley amazing! Dinner continued and drinks flowed. Everyone at the the table became more friendly and chatty as it seems alcohol always did. Whenever the occasion arose Joey made it point to speak directly to the beautiful woman sitting next to him. It was obviou he husband cared more about talking about his work than the attention he showed to his bride. Once dinner was over the dessert were served. Joey made sure to order another round of drinks for the table as well on his tab.

Just then as the table was all thanking Joey for his gracious gift he heard the sound of a phone ringing in her husbands pocket.

Her voice would almost sound like cooing, as if soothing to one’s ears. Her lips would move in sync and her tiny nose would move gently while she’d look at him with her captivating gaze. One that her husband had seen a lot by now to ignores it or underappreciates it. She leaned backwards to let the man conversate with her husband when he started saying something.

She’s ocassionally tip her head back, throwing dark tresses over her shoulder as she’d then look at Joey, showing interest while a soft smile always displayed on her face. A gently warm and welcoming smile that friendly. When food came, people were hungry that they instantly started to eat and there was a time when no one made a sound. They all were eating, enjoying the food.

She didn’t have high hopes for the dishes on the cruise but even she was surprised how good it tasted. She had her drink finished when Joey managed to order another round of drinks and then started to sip on the second glass when it came.

People smiled and thanked him, so did she, just as her husband had gotten a call and stepped away, leaving her alone on the table. The silence was awkward so she turned to look at him, “Thank you very much for this drink. So you’re alone here you said. Would it not get boring for you?” She asked as she was pretty much in the same boat.

Acknowledging everyone at the table as they sent him appreciation for his drinks. Joey smiled at each person at the table and graciously welcomed them. As the pretty lady next to him husbands phone rang her heard her sigh in a little frustration. As he stepped away to the table she turned to him and sipped her drink.

As their eyes met he smiled at her but was completely lost in them. Her beauty was striking. Her manners were such of elegance. And her body spoke for itself. Even in the brief glimpse he had seen as she was seated. As she spoke to him he looked directly at her making eye contact with her. Listening to her every word but admiring her pearly white teeth hidden inside her mouth by her perfectly painted lips. She was for sure a sight to be seen! And a beauty by any standard.

Joey sat his glass down on the table when she finished with her questions. Looking at her smiled as she mentioned him being alone. And asking if would not be boring. "Boring only happens if you let it." He said softly to her. "And besides. I like the excitement of meeting new people and building relationships or even experiences one could never forget!" Joey said softly. Looking over her shoulder to see her husband still on the phone. It was obvious his work consumed him. Taking another large swig of his drink he turned a little more to face her. "So does your husband always stay so busy? That must get frustrating especially when you are in vacation?" He asked in a comforting tone.

Some of the people had started to file out of the dining area while some were still seated and indulging in a conversation, as they were as well. Watching her husband get up to tend to the call, she knew it would a long call. It might even turn into a long conference call for which he might have to go back to the room or something.

She looked through her almond shaped eyes, finding him holding her gaze as she asked him some questions. She wasn’t prying but only opening a casual conversation between them while they drank and she, waited for her husband so they can actually leave.

There was a moment of silence when she found him just looking at her, as if he was admiring something about her. She smiled cheekily, “I agree with that hundred percent. It will get boring if you let it.” She knew it as well but at times, she’d find nothing else to do to keep her busy and she’d become bored, being a housewife.

He was quite a guy, “Well, I do have to give it to you for coming on a cruise alone. I could never do that. I’d find myself bored to death.” She smiled and sipped her drink, turning her head in the direction his head was turning, finding him looking at her husband as she smiled, “Oh him? Yeah…for the most part. But I understand that it’s his work and that’s also important.” She answered his question politely, thinking that she should turn in since it’s been a long day. Still enjoying the drink as she didn’t feel tired enough just yet.
