If anyone's into crosswords, there's one out today that's of particular interest (to me, at any rate).

This is the Universal crossword, which is syndicated to some 850 websites and newspapers around the world. It's not the Brittish-style crossword, with their delightful wordplay and annagrammatic clues. Nor is it the asymetrical Swedish-style crossword, whose bizarre but workable consonent patterns make me want to learn Swedish.

This is the boring American-style crossword, 78 words shoehorned into a tiny box.

Still, the constructor is a pretty cunning fellow, and it might provide a moment or two of amusement.

P.S. The theme is, of course, baseball. And the editor butchered all my cleverest clues, which is something I've grown used to.

Morning, Zack,

Took me longer than it should - 35 minutes. I really wanted Safeco field to have a RailroadStation.

Good job

I thought the Seattle stadium did have a RR station.

Hey, MG,

It does, but Zack used RetractableRoof as "A feature of SafeCo Field"

Actually the train station is a couple of blocks away, although the train itself passes underneath the center field seats.

I was going to use EMPTYINOCTOBER for "Pac Bell feature," but it wasn't enough letters ...

P.S, Thanks OnD, glad you enjoyed it.
