Hi,

Maybe a bit of a niche subject. Anyone willing to edit a story involving corporal punishment of a crossdresser. I'm a pretty new author so could do with proof reading for grammer and some stylistic advice.

How many words. Most people want to know.

I do my own editing with Hemingway Editor and Grammerly. Both are free web based apps. They aren't perfect but they help enough I don't feel the need to use an editor/proofreader for stuff I post on a free site.

Hi, thanks for that. The length is 3,000 words. I guess what I was looking for stylistically is some thoughts on making it flow. It currently reads in quite a choppy way.

I am not an editor but for something that short I'm willing to take a look.

Two of my lowest scoring stories are under 3.5K words. It seems that readers here want stories between 3 and 6 Lit pages. 1 Lit page is roughly 3,750 words. So the sweet spot is 10K-22K words.

I think Scribe did just volunteer to be an editor for this story. That's sort of how it works: folk saying, "Hey, I'll do that for you." You don't need to be on a register and wear a badge to be an editor around here. Scribe is volunteering, he can write, and a writer can edit, so what's missing?
