Man dressed as woman robs man
MONTGOMERY - A cross dressing chicken peddler robbed an elderly man of $450 and left the victim with a sack of frozen poultry.
Police have charged Alan Robinson, 36, of Montgomery, AL with robbery. Christian said police told him they were familiar with Robinson. "They call him Paula," he said.
Christian, 71, said his ordeal began about 2 pm Tuesday, when his doorbell rang. The door wasn't locked so Christian told the person to come in. The person, wearing a red blouse and blue skirt, carried a shoulder bag full of frozen chicken breasts and asked Christian to buy some.
"I won't eat that!," John Christian said.
Alan Robinson had no comment but was arrested while still dressed as a woman. There was no evidence of the frozen chicken on his person.
