I believe if you do a simple search, you will find crime and government in Chicago are more closely tied than Catholism & popes. They have an almost proud tradition of graft, violence, nepotism, organized crime, and just about every "bad" thing they can find. It always seemed they looked in a book somewhere and said, "Shit! We missed one! Got to do better."

When criminals are in positions of power in government and law enforcement, they use their power to protect themselves, each other, and their criminal activities.

Most often times, they are, in every possible sense, above the law.

Eric Holder and Obama are both from Chicago, aren't they? Now the criminals from there have a foothold inside the federal government.

I don't know about police corruption currently unless we include the police commission and higher ups like that but that gets back to political appointments again.

Ok, so the Chicago government is the worst at hiding their corruption. Congrats to them. My fear are the ones we haven't discovered and imprisoned yet. Which goes to 99% of them across the planet.

I don't think they even try to hide it but the governors don't seem to understand how the not getting convicted or even charged system works.
