He flipped to another page, a quick glance and then the next page. A quick glance before forcefully shutting the book and slamming it on a pile of six books. He picked up another, this one he didn't glance, he gazed at the content on the page.
A hard slap on his table rescued him from the page. His gaze shifted to the wisened palm still on the table, without looking up he asked, "Can i borrow this book mrs Dwight?"
The aged librarian smiled warmly, an expression Jeremy wishes to forever linger on her. A more reason to find the monsters who has made Crescent more than a gathering ground.
"Yes you can Mr Wayne, but first you must hurry to class, the bell was rung five minutes ago."
"Holy shit!" Jeremy exclaimed. It was like he had been told that an atomic bomb will be dropping on his head in five minutes time.

Jeremy grabbed the book and ran towards the library exit.
"I'll be back to sign."he yelled back to the librarian as he made a turn into the long walkway.
As he raced down to the class blocks, he wondered for the umpteenth time what prompted the hunter that wrote the codes to prohibit the using of powers for personal benefit.
He could simply justap into his ring's magic and increase his speed.
**
On nearing his designated class, Jeremy slowed down to a jogging pace. If it was any other class, all he'd to do was think up a reasonable excuse for being late ar at the very most simply skip the class. But as if the heavens were against him, it was professor Lucimere's chemistry class and he was five minu...okay its now seven minutes late.
Jeremy poked his head into the class, to survey, to know the best time to sneak in. Luckily, the class backed the door and she was deeply engrossed on what she was writing on the whiteboard.
Jeremy took in a deep breath then tip-toed forward.

Joesph took a long pull from his cigarette as he looked at the two students in front of him "... So yea. This is Nate. He's cool, I swear." Said a a blonde man. "Well, I always like making new friends." Joesph said sarcastically exhaling smoke. "So Nate, what's your drug of choice?" "Well what have you got?" He asked. "The kind of shit you can't get anywhere else." Joesph said setting his backpack on the table. He pulled out a small bag that had various drugs inside of it. "This little beauty..." he said holding up a white capsul with random protrusions coming off of the surface, "... is called leviathan. It takes you deep inside of your mind, gives you a real mellow high. You'll barely be able to move on it, but you won't want to." Joesph said placing the pill on the table. "This baby is oblivion." He said holding up a small purple pill. It's purple color seemed to pulse and change, like a solid mist held in the palm of his hand. "Imagine that shrooms, peyote, and acid had a three-way. This is the bastard child that came from that night." Joseph said placing the pill next to the leviathan. "This is red fang. It makes your muscle mass more dense. Gives them more efficiency. Basically this shit will give you super strength." Joseph placing a syringe filled with red liquid on the table. "Last but not least is yellow king. This shit is strong and dangerous. It fills you up with energy, bad energy. Like evil speed. You'll try to do dark shit on this. So if you want some I have to make sure you're not a murderer or something." Joseph said taking a pull from his cigarette. "So friend, pick your poison." Joseph said smiling through a screen of smoke.

"Damn man. I haven't heard of any of that shit. Give me three hits of oblivion." Nate said placing a wad of twenties on the table. Joseph took the money and put it into his jacket pocket. He took his sample drugs off of the table and returned then to his backpack. He pulled a single pill of oblivion out and handed it to Nate. "One at a time. I don't want anyone ODing or getting caught with my shit. If you want more see me here next week. Same time." Joseph said before standing up. He moved passed the two buyers and left the room.

Joseph made his way out of the building and across the campus to the science building. He entered his chemistry classroom at the same time as another guy. "Don't you know it's rude to be late dude?" Joseph asked sarcastically as he made his way to the front row of the classroom. He sat down in his usual spot and gave Professor Morrgyn a wink.

Echo sighed as the teacher droned on and on. Her pale blue eyes boring into the whiteboard blankly. She liked chemistry, but she hardly got any sleep last night, looking at her ancestors old books and journals kept her up, but they were so interesting l, to hear about the old witches.... Echo jumped from her thoughts as two people entered the classroom, her shoulder length, hardly wavy hair sitting just a couple inches off her shoulder. And her dark red lipstick complemented her blonde, almost white, hair. She sighed, there was Jeremy, and then who could forget the biggest drug guy and drug dealer in here. She heard his comment to Jeremy and rolled her eyes and sighed, she looked back at the whiteboard blankly.

Morrigyn Lucimere
Eyes: Green near the pupil with blue around the outside of iris.
Hair: Very red, wavy, currently to her waist (this is an old staff photo)
Height: 5ft 3
Weight: 131 lbs
Measurements(chest, waist, hips): 34/23/35
Age: 34
Teacher of "Chemistry" and "Herbology", code for Potions and Nature Healing.

Madame Morrigyn Lucimere of the infamous Lucimere Witches, the oldest and most powerful line of female witches on the continent and, other than her old and addled grandmother of ninety-nine, she's the last remaining survivor of her proud family line. She's seen three members of her family burnt at the stake, including her own mother when she was a child. The craft is strong within her and she tries to keep to herself, putting all of her effort into helping her students, but she has good reason to mistrust non magical people so she's secretive among those not tied to her Coven or the School.

She's kind natured and good with animals, small children, and the elderly and handicapped. She is the champion of the underdog.
======================================================

"Class dismissed." Morrigyn announced at the end of the period, only slightly annoyed that some of her her usually best students seemed tired and distracted this morning. As people filed out of the classroom she grabbed her stuff and headed back towards the lab, locking the door behind her.

The halls of Crescent College were buzzing with noise as students moved from lecture hall, classroom, meeting place, or lab, to other locations. It was 12:45, many of the students would be headed to the dining hall or off campus for lunch. Morrigyn was planning yet another lunch hour and free period in her laboratory working on her potion for longevity which she concocted for her ninety-nine year old grandmother, Lorelai, at the waxing of the full moon every month. This was the way she was extending the wise old crone' s life and had been busy doing so for the past seven years.

Of course, as was the way with even powerful magic, even this magical solution would not stop old age from eventually ravaging her last remaining relative. The old lady would still die. The potion was just delaying the process somewhat. Upon her 100th birthday it would lose its power over her by more than 50% and an additional 10% every year, thereafter. Much as it pained her to admit how fruitless her efforts were, Morrigyn knew her grandmother had but a handful of years left to live. Still, she couldn't bear to lose her! So, every month she took time to brew the potion and fed it to Lorelei Lucimere in her soup on an evening of a full moon, taking a bit of the brew in the process, herself; A preventive measure.

At this rate, if the tradition were to continue, with or without gran, Morrigyn might just live to be near 200. But, being only 34 now, there was little to worry about in the mortality department as long as nobody outside of her coven or small bunch of compatriots knew of her family line and what she truly was...not just a simple Science Professor instructing her students in Chemistry and Herbal Cures, but actually a witch imparting some of the less complicated magickal arts of Potions and Natural Healing.

Even her students were mostly clueless where some of her imparted knowledge, disguised in Scientific explanation and methodology, originally came from; A long line of knowledge passed from Wise Woman to Wise Woman, mother to daughter, and, In her case, grandmother to granddaughter. So many generations back, the matriarchy of the Lucimere Witches predates and eludes written record...

As she worked, Morrigyn munched on a club sandwich with extra pickles and listened to NPR pod casts of short stories from The Moth internet radio show, grading student lab assignments to make a simple analgesic cream in between checking the potion for gran brewing over her lab bunson burner. She was focused and serious. Finding peace and calm in this ritual she'd perfected.

David sat in his office desk currently hunched over as he filled out his morning report and reviewed the kitchen inventory and order list for the week. As dean of the school, he was responsible for the oversight and upkeep of the facilities which involved all sorts of exciting things...like cafeteria orders and school budgets and student rosters and...*sigh*

Ok, so not everything was moonbeams and rainbows.... but he was Headmaster and Dean of an extraordinary and unique school...perhaps more extraordinary than many of its own students knew. There were several duties to perform, numerous students to evaluate and many secrets to be kept.

David was reflecting for a moment, lost in a daydream of research and possible experiments when a bout of annoying pain snapped him out of his visions. The pen he had been tapping against the folder and its financial reports tumbled from his fingers as his right hand seized, the fingers hooking and curling inward like a claw. The arthritis had been getting worse, but this was the first time that it had struck so early in the day. Likewise he felt his breath began to quicken as his lungs labored to continue their routine of air-in, air-out as they were supposed to.

"Damn..." he muttered as he stood up and walked towards his office bathroom. Stepping in and closing the door, David turned on the water, then opened the little drawer in the cabinet. Using the palm of his left hand, he forced the seized fingers of his right to straighten then rummaging around in the drawer for a moment, withdrew a large, silver syringe. Setting the device on the sink, David fumbled with his shirt cuff, tugging the shirt sleeve up to his elbow and revealing a line of faded, scared pock-marks up the inside of his forearm. With another sigh, David took the syringe and with a practiced ease, pushed the needle into the crook of his arm, then forcing the plunger down with his crippled hand. Setting the used syringe down again, he waited for several minutes, but in time, his breathing settled and his stubborn hand once more regained its flexibility.

He cleaned up a bit, putting away his instruments, then looking at himself in the mirror closely. He was a bit paler than usual, but that was not so uncommon. His left eye was puffy and using a piece of toilet paper, wiped away a bit of dried film that had gathered under the eye. He sighed again. Two years already? Well, he might have to take some additional measures. Returning to his office, Davis took his suit coat from the coat rack and buttoning it up, exited the office and went out into the school.

Her door clicked and Morrigyn heard the lock unlatch itself. Only one other person in the school could do that so easily besides herself. She smiled, leaning over her work, and softly greeted him, "Good afternoon, David."

"In not feeling psychology today." Joseph thought to himself as he left the chemistry class room. He lingered around the science building hoping to see Morrigyn, but she disappeared into her lab as soon as class was over. "So much for getting some. Guess in going to Moony's" Joseph thought glumly. He left the science building, lighting a cigarette as soon as he was out the door, and made his way towards the café.

Joseph tossed his cigarette butt onto the ground before entering the café. "I want my usual, black coffee." He said to Lily as he passed the counter. Joseph made his way over to his usual corner booth and sat down. He pulled out his ledger and looked over his sales as he waited for Lily to bring him his coffee.

Echo sat at the cafe, drinking her usual Carmel frappe-chino. She looked up from staring glumly at her coffee. She saw Joesph walk in and she glanced down again, staring back at her coffee.

David wandered down the halls for some fifteen minutes, observing things as he went. He occasionally nodded or smiled, returning a greeting or meeting the gaze of another. Likewise he offered his disapproving scowl on the rare few he noted engaging in some miscreant behavior or some such. Ever the Dean, ever watchful.

A bell rang, signalling the students to make their way to whatever destinations they were expected at next and the throng of people began to melt away. Conveniently as the people left, David found himself near the chemistry laboratory. There were actually several labs and research areas in the school, a few of which were quite unknown to the students, but David knew that Morrigyn would have a free period at this time. Given the time, she was either heading out to lunch or dabbling in the lab. The lab being the closer of the two options, he had proceeded there.

Reaching into his pockets, David withdrew a heavy ring filled with keys of varying type. Silver, brass, copper; steel, brass, tin; modern and not so. Each had a specific role to play. David liked that; order and purpose, linked together so that he could pass through any barrier. It was...poetic in its own way.

Choosing the key, David turned the key and heard to lock click open. Turning the knob he slipped inside and let the door close behind him.

"Good afternoon, David."

He looked over and smiled. Mrs. Lucimere was as appealing as always and a welcomed sight.

"And good afternoon to you, Professor Lucimere. Is it so late already? I hardly noticed."

Useless preamble and baseless chatter. Both knew each other exceedingly well...or at least as well as either of them were willing to reveal to the other. But with their history, a little banter only added to the game.

He motioned to a nearby chair and with Morrigyn's approving nod, sat down. "I was hoping that I might trouble you for some assistance. I fear my remedies are not taking the necessary affect nor keeping the duration they should. Could you perhaps provide me with a restoration potion or two?"

He sighed, looking weary. "Perhaps several."

Morrigyn took a sidelong glance at her old friend and colleague (and at times, tempting to think could be other things...) and then back at her bunson burner, the pot bubbling away. "Of course you know supplies are limited. I only make a certain amount per month and it's used within forty eight hours of concocting...I'd have to give you my personal doses for this month. I won't...Well, cannot sacrifice more than two vials this time."

She turned, facing David so he could see her earnestness, "She's beginning to forget, David. And, not just silly, minor things, important things too. This morning she called me Margana! She looked me straight in the eye and mixed me up with a woman dead for close to thirty years..."

Turning back to her potion, she got to work filling the requested vials, but also to conceal the tears she held back. "Next month I'll make more batches if you could perhaps remember to ask The Council for a nurse for us, specialized to be discrete, one of our kind..."

Lily stared into the metallic surface of the coffee machine and smacked her rouge painted lips. It was Friday and she was looking forward to leaving things to her manager and having a night to remember. Just because she was 25 didn't mean she couldn't still have fun with the best of them! Several of her regulars were currently at Moony's and she hummed ti herself as she prepared another six coffees down the line. Smiling and nodding as people came and went, she faintly heard the ding of the bell signaling to waitstaff that food was ready.

Finishing her set of coffees she looked over to see that the docket printer had stopped for the moment. Sighing, she looked at the clock. 4pm. Another hour. Gods, Friday afternoon sure did drag on! Wiping down the bench, she nodded to Freya "I'm just gonna make the rounds."

Freya nodded, finishing up a juice, "Sure thing boss."

Lily smirked, taking the last order, long black, from the bench and wandered towards Joseph. Smiling as she walked past Echo, she made sure the poor dear still had some coffee left.

Setting down the coffee, Lily smiled, "How's it going Joe? "

Joseph smiled back at Lily before pulling her into his lap. He kissed the side of her head before taking a sip of his coffee. "I've been bad, and I've been worse... So the same." Joseph said sarcastically setting his coffee down on the table. "What about you? How are things running here? Those jocks still giving you trouble?" Joseph asked idly twirly a strand of Lily's hair around his finger.

"Of course, of course." he said, reassuringly.

David knew Morrigyn's grandmother, heck, he remembered her from when she was still a student at this very school. A fine woman and talented member of the Coven, but time was a cruel master. Not even the Coven of Elders could stop death's advance nor the onset of age. To do that, required another type of magic...

He stood and placed his hands on Morrigyn's shoulders. His intent was true enough, but the dean's hands were ice cold and stiff. Not as comforting as he would have preferred.

"I can make due with one for now. If you provide a list, I can see about getting some of the reagents for you." He offered her a lopsided smile.

"I have connections you know."

David would have made the potions himself, alchemy was certainly no great mystery to him, but the potion was so extraordinarily valuable and complex, none would dare give one away just to be experimented on. David could not have made the potion in any case. To make this type of elixir required a special spark. Something that David, for all his talents, did not possess.

"But, I feel the need for something warm to drink. Would you care to join me at the Crescent Moon? I have a little business to discuss with the owner while I'm there."

Jon stretched his arms over his head and arched his back. After sitting through another one of Professor Morrigyn's classes, he was ready for a nap. Looking down the hall, he watched as Joseph walked towards Moony's instead of going to class. While he didn't much care for being around Joseph, Jon respected his skills in the lab. Joseph was able to make drugs that had the same effects as Jon's natural remedies. He might prove to be a valuable asset to the Hunter...for the right price.

Smoothing down his suit, one of Armani's newest designs, Jon made his way to the campus greenhouses. He walked past all of the regular greenhouses and stopped at the only one with a lock on the door. This was where the Dean allowed him to grow plants that were too dangerous for the public greenhouses. Jon reached into his breast pocket and pulled out an old key. Placing it in the lock, he slowly turned the knob until he felt it click. The click was an indication that the door would open without setting off the tripwires attached to the knob. He opened the door and slipped inside, latching the door behind him.

The greenhouse was the only one with metal walls instead of glass, which helped keep the plants shaded. It also let the building double as his house, since he converted the back half into a bedroom and wash room.

Jon checked on various plants as he crossed the the room before plopping down on his bed. Pulling out his phone, he texted a few of the other Hunters and asked if they had heard any news from the Old Man.

Morrigyn felt embarrassed at her near outbust of emotion and grateful that David was only taking one of the vials despite her realizing she could part with both of them.

She quietly handed both to him despite the look of refusal on his face. "Buy me tea and make a donation to Lily's latest cause and I'll consider us even for today, friend." She said softly.

She didn't need her health restored just yet. She still felt healthy and in her prime years. It would still be a long while before her prevention became anywhere near to need. Morrigyn smiled, a hint of flirtation in her green-blue eyes as they sparkled up at the distinguished man, one of few she trusted. "Just let me get my lab stuff off and find my outdoors coat." She said, her face brightening as she shrugged off her work demeanor along with the sterile whites of the lab.

The campus was in relaxed mode at this time of day. They walked along and they were greeted here and there by students or other faculty as they made their way to Moonies, discussing coven business via neutral code and in low tones, as was their careful habit.

Jeremy sighed heavily, chemistry wasn't his favourite, and with Morrigyn being the head teacher of the subject, its no wonder the subject is one of his worst.
When the bell rang, he was the first to get into the corridor. Jeremy went to his locker, inserted his key into the lock and just fiddled with it. While he was facing his locker, he was from the corner of his eye watching Morrigyn.
Jeremy noticed her make a bend, he quickly pulled out his key and followed after her. On making the turn, she was gone. Jeremy guessed into one of the many labs. Probably hers.
For a while Jeremy stood there contemplating on whether to check the lab or go take coffee.
"Coffee it is." he said inaudibly, reasoning that if Morrigyn is who he thinks she is, he'll be needing better gear.
Jeremy went back to the library to return the book, there was no need for borrowing 'cos the information he needed was in only one page.

the two wandered down the halls and into the courtyard where the Crescent Moon cafe stood. There were a good three dozen people milling about both in the cafe and lounging about the courtyard. Many of the students, particularity the male students, greeted Morrigyn and David as they walked... mainly to smile and make goo-goo eyes at the attractive teacher. A rather disapproving gaze from the school dean usually sent them away, but all in all, the walk was admirable enough.

The Cafe was crowded as it often was but a small table for two opened up near a wide window as the duo came in. David settled his guest and moved to the bar, his keen eyes taking in many of the details and tidbits as he did so. lily, the cafe's owner was still present, that was good, but currently being pawed after by Joseph, a known troublemaker but also one of about two dozen 'people of interest' in the school currently.

"Ah yes, Freya, " he said as the barista came over. "A large green tea please and for me... oh, something hot and...fragrant. Yes, I think that will do nicely."

He set a $20.00 on the counter and stuffed the returning $10.00 and change into a large jar on the counter mentioning something about Leukemia research.

"Oh, and Freya. I need to have a word with the owner when she has a moment. Business related."

Lily briefly allowed herself to be pulled into Joseph's embrace, and then laughingly got up and docked him on the nose with her index finger. She'd had a conversation with him about being so friendly in the past, but the poor bugger had been so mopey for months that Lily just let him play around nowadays. She hadn't liked seeing him in such a destructive mood and felt that playing with him was the lesser of the two evils.

They were, after all, both adults.

"Well, boys will be boys," she grinned at him. Then nodded to the coffee, "Like it? Its a new blend. What do you think?"

She really couldn't stay all that long. A nice friendly chat with her regulars and then back to work.

Every. Day.

Glancing at the clock, she kept the mischievous grin and twinkle in her eye, as she waited for Joe to reply. Freya waved at her from behind the coffee machine and pointed (none too discreetly) at David and Morrigyn's table. She nodded back and made a note to swing their way when she was done here.

"New blend? Why change perfection?" Joseph asked taking a long drink from his coffee cup. He wrinkled his nose, but took another sip anyways. After a moment he set the cup down and looked up at Lily. "You know I love you, but this... It's just not very good. I can't put my finger on why it's not good, but you should probably go back to the old blend." Joesph said taking another sip of the coffee and wrinkling his nose. "Now it looks like his royal highness wants his ass kissed. So go do your duty for the betterment of the kingdom's ego." Joesph said sarcastically noticing the dean. "And tell Morrigyn I said hello." Joseph said tucking a twenty in Lily's apron pocket for his coffee, before going back to his ledger.

From the library, Jeremy headed for moony's not because of the coffee but because he wanted to see Lily Cooper, the fragrance of the cafe and the one his heart yearned for.
At first, he'd dismissed the feelings as a week or two infatuation, after that he called it a crush, yet she was more than an obsession.
Right now they were on the just-friends ground, and Jeremy desperately wanted them to move past that level. He placed his hand into his pocket and walked on gloomingly, the rules were simple, the codes crystal clear. They were not to fall in love, not to have relationships especially with ordinary humans. For admist battle, they'll only end up as casualties. And in most cases, they often use these humans to blackmail them.
Few steps to the Crescent moon and he'd come to a decision. Its better not to drag her in to these mess, especially now when he can't descern the powers that be in this institute.
Sighing heavily, he opened the door then wore immediately a false smile as he waved to her.

Echo always raised an eyebrow unconsciously as she watched people flirt with Lipy. She took a sip of her coffee, and looked up as somebody sat in the seat directly across from her. And wasn't surprised to see her ex. Garrett.

"Hey baby, I can't wait for tonight." He said in a douchy tone, he was stoned obviously. And Leander across to kiss her.

"I told you were not a thing anymore, you made that clear when you slept with Angelica. Get out of here you pig" she said angrily, but was whispering so she wouldn't cause a scene. She shoved her hand in his face, causing him to sit back. And looked down at her newspaper once more.

Garret arched his brows in anger. "We are, whatever I say we are, Echo." Garret said menacingly, saying her name with a cold edge.

"Garret back off, go home." She said, in a hushed tone, and started to stand up.

Garret was as quick as a snake to grab Echos arm. "Sit. Down. Now, Echo."

Echo narrowed her eyes, she wished she could perform magic, nobody would see anything, but hunters have arrived in town and she couldn't risk it.

Echo sat down once more, Garret did a hint of a smile.

"Interesting." Joseph though watching a blonde woman interacting with a man she clearly didn't want to be interacting with. "She's in my chemistry class. Weird name... Edna? Something with an E." Joseph thought taking another sip of his coffee before standing up. "Why do I keep drinking this?" He thought to himself wandering over to the Blonde's table. He sat down next to her, causally breaking the man's grip on her arm. "Hey. How's it going?" Joseph said giving the stoned guy a cocky smile. "I couldn't help but notice you chatting with my friend here. She doesn't seem all that interested, so how about you go grope a cheerleader or something?" Joseph asked taking a sip of the man's drink and wincing in distaste.

After a few minutes of nobody texting him back, Jon got up and decided to do some snooping. Grabbing some pouches of floral and herbal powder, he left the greenhouse and locked the door. After some deliberation, he chose Professor Morrigyn's as his destination. This was partially due to him seeing the professor walk towards Moony's with the Dean. If everything went according to plan, Jon would have some leverage on her. Moving with confidence and purpose, Jon arrived at Morrigyn's lab without incident. Now came the hard part: breaking in.

Garrett looked at the man and smiled a michevious smile. "Yeah? What are you gonna do about huh PROFFESOR?!" Echo covered her face.
