Creepy crawlies

Very cool, Liar. Something about the picture made me think it was a claymation statue at first though.

That's electron micrographs for ya. They get a peculiar relief feeling to them. Plus they're monochrome, so the coloring is by hand and not as nuanced as reality.

Liar, those guys could be the next group of bit players for a new Star Wars movie. :D

Some are very alien looking even for insects.

My eternal thanks because you gave the warning. I’m not clicking on that link for anything!

I love those kinds of images!

MrsBrownEyes, why were you hanging around on a sea slug forum? Do you do this often? :)

Ha, that was fascinating. Although just looking at the house dust mite made me itch! (I'm rather allergic to the little buggers)

They are they are!!
I adore all creepy crawly creatures :D
Found this dude last week (on net!) and fell in love:

Hey, no fair putting up spoilers for my Summer Lovin' entry! :D

I am always in awe...there is truly a vast array of amazing and bizarre creatures on this planet.

I didn't know the fleas for dogs and cats were different.

The cat ones look cool.

The dog ones, not so much.

<----phobic (Mostly arachonophobic, but I can't be sure that they're not so I'm not taking the chance) I'll trust you guys on this...

Some really cool photos here.

Bug-o-phobes and the like beware. Personally, I find 'em adorable.

Great pics Liar, I really enjoyed them, I've always thought things under the electron microscope where amazing.

I brought a picture, could be an ugly parasite, but it's not.

It's something we use every day!
