Creeped out by my username or thumbnail?

Is anyone "bothered" by my user name or thumbnail?

I chose my username ten years ago, largely at random. (Granted, I have written some tentacle-adjacent stuff, but still, the choice was largely random.) Now I'm getting some feedback that suggests maybe there is some, er, anger or negativity about my username from some other members. I'm just wondering if maybe I should dump this account and start a "fresh" one since there doesn't seem to be any available way to change a user name.

I posted looking for an editor/beta reader, and I didn't get an offer of help but a snarky response referencing squid. So, I just thought I'd check.
(Sudden thought - you're not an editor, are you, by any chance?)

no, sorry. But I have read the occasional tentacle story. I don't write here, I'm just in the threads, saw yours and wanted to say I don't think there's anything wrong with it; kinda funny actually, like it
