Crap lost a chunk of my story.

I have literally NEVER written anything in the Lit Story Editor. I didn't know anyone did that. That just seems like a bad idea....And based on this thread...I seems I was right..lol
I used to use a free open source word processor, but it was often incompatible with Literotica's uploading system, with things not really formatting properly.

You can use literally any text editor if you add formatting tags yourself and copy it into the text box.

Most (not all, but most) free open source processors have the option to save as a .doc or .docx format, which IS compatible.

I know that OpenOffice and LibreOffice both do that.

That is only for autosave. If you can remember to save on your own, then just save the file to your local HD and no cloud will be used.
I know that.

The point is that autosave used to save locally, but now it doesn't. The app has been deliberately downgraded.

The version of OpenOffice that I was using at the time, just wasn't completely compatible - too many glitches I didn't notice til the story had been published.

Maybe I'll give OpenOffice another try.
