okay, so I have this idea after reading about the uk phone hacking thing. what if a IT guy uses his skills to read a person's email (and hacks her company phone) and lets say that this coworker sends out too many emails/text.

over a week the guy gets to know a lot about her and uses that to seduce her.

is this tooo creepy? can this type of story be saved?

Do you mean that he learns a lot about her inner desired from all these emails? And uses that knowledge to make her think he is the man of her dreams?

Or do you mean he threatens to rat her out if she doesn't blow him or something? Because I'd call the first one seduction, and the second one blackmail.

he uses the email/text to be the man of her dreams (or like most men, just to bed her)

Okay, here's the twist

He uses her e-mails to simply get into her pants and succeeds, several times. He keeps reading her e-mails that now talk about him and their dates together.
The more he learns about her and her feelings toward him, the more he falls in love with her. (Not the original plan)
Then she has a problem with her computer at work and, while fixing it, the IT guy finds the hacker and tells her.
Now she knows and her loving nature turns to hate for the hacker. The hacker; however, now loves her and has to fight to regain her love.

well, her finding out about what he did, can come in time. after she's in love with him.

this idea is a total guy's fantasy. question, how can he be saved? as with the story into a female friendly story

If you want to make it female friendly, what if she knows about it from the start. Or finds out early in the process. She sets up an external email account and starts mailing to and from it, knowing he is reading. So she basically is giving him hints about what she wants.

I don't really see why this is a guy's fantasy though. If it was a guy's fantasy, she would be sending nude pictures of herself. A guy going out of his way to seduce a woman like she wants it to happen sounds more like a woman's fantasy to me. Just keep it more into the romance part.

Reminds me of the Kevin Costner movie "Message in a Bottle" where she learns all this stuff about him from his messages and falls in love with him without telling him about the bottles. When the truth comes out, the romance falters. I think it can work if the motives of the "hacker" can be spun in such a way that it's not stalkerish.

That's not a bad idea

How about if he hacks her account by accident. He's trying to hack into a friends account for a joke but gets into hers by mistake. He sees an e-mail about himself and finds out she has a crush on him.
