ooc = okay I have a big thing for cowboys the American kind, being Australian the "howdy M'am" routine buckles me at my knees every time and never fails to excite me.

Setting = Tomboyish farm girl left to run the ranch on her own, stubborn and proud wont ask for help. Local hero returns home after a few years on the rodeo circuit, the boy now a man.

As a teenager and infact most of her life he had teased and tormented her as boys do to the girl next door. he comes home to find her now a woman doing it hard and he wants to help her in more ways then one.

Looking for - my cow boy, others can jump in as his parents or brother but mainly after a cowboy *smiles*

Rebecka or Becky as her daddy had called her often, wiped some sweat from her brow. Hunched over the motor of her old pick up it was shaping to be a hot day.

"well this is cooked" she said to her faithful dog Sam as he sleepily groaned at her feet.

Hearing a car come up the drive Becky paid no mind assuming it to be Rosco from the general store delivering her groceries, she had phoned the store this morning and told his wife of the truck. His Mrs had kindly offered him to deliver them out to Becky that afternoon.

Trying hard to remove the radiator cap she she was borderline about to loose it at the darn thing when she heard the car door close.

Being polite she wiped her hands on the back of her jeans and stepped from around the truck to greet Rosco, Looking at the truck park in front of her place she knew it wasn't Rosco's truck.

Walking through the back door and she walked straight to greet this stranger hoping it wasnt a bank manager " Who's there" she called from behind the screen door.

((Hope you don't mind me taking up the part, if so, I'll drop.))

And indeed a firm knock did sound at the door. On the other side stood a young man, a pair of Levi Jeans, black belt with the giant silver belt buckle, a button up long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a brown cowboy hat. This man was in no way a skinny wannabe city slicker. No, this man looked as if he had worked hard every day in his life. The shirt pressed hard against his shirt, signaling a rather muscular chest. His arms looked thicker then fence posts. It was Jimmy.

When he had left town he was nothing but a young boy chasing after a dream of being a big time rodeo man. No one thought he could do it. They had just laughed at his dream. And he had proved them wrong. He held the rodeo record for bull riding, hog tieing, and just about any other event in the rodeo there was.

When she opened the door, there was, shillouted against the afternoon sun. He looked up and smiled, revealing perfectly white teeth. "Afternoon ma'am."

OC = not at all welcome - hehe we have to do a bit of editing am I behind you or infront of you? *laughs* NVM I will write around i

He lifted his chin....she would know that grin any were, "well look what the cat dragged in" Becky tried not to look impressed he made one fine looking man.

"what you doin back here Jimmy, heard you made it big time" Becky opens the door but not to invite him in, she steps past him and heads down the steps.

"I got work to do you want to yack you will have to follow" she called over her shoulder as she headed to the barn.

Her jeans perhaps alittle too tight left nothing to the imagination but she curved in all the right places. Her long blond hair draped down her back in a careless plat Becky was a looker no one could argue that but man did she have a hard shell to crack.

He takes his hat off politely, nodding. And of course grinning the whole time.

"It's a pleasure seein' you again to Becca" He winks at her as she passes him, turning on his heels and following her, replacing the hat on his head.

"How have you been?" His eyes carefully slid over her body as he walked behind her for a moment. "You certainly have turned into a fine lookin' lady, if you don't mind my bein' so foward."

"since when could I stop you from speaking ye mind Jimmy" Becky tossed back at him "let me see it use to be Becky buck teeth becky... didn't it" she turned to him and crossed her arms over her chest.

"isn't that the taunt you would yell at me from across the paddock" she pointed to his parents farm next door.

"And I been just fine thank ye Jimmy" she turned and grabbed a hay hook from its hanging place and began to shift some bales of hay onto the back of the tractor.

He cringed slightly, knowing it to be true, but quickly recovered. "Aw c'mon now Becca. You know we was all different people then. We've all changed. Look at both of. When I left this town I was nothin' but full of hopes and dreams. And now, I'm doin' just want I always wanted t'do."

He moved to her side, helping her with the hay. As he hauled it out of the truck it was obvious how strong he was, lifting the hay out like it was nothing. Placing it on the back of the tractor he continued.

"An' look at you. You've turned into a fine look' woman. I reckon half the people in this town want t'jump your fence."He winked at her.

Becky knew he had a point but her stubborn streak wouldn't let him know that "its Rebecka or Becky" she added flatly but god knows why.

She continued to haul the hay admiring and resenting his strength at the same time. "You don't have to do that ... I can manage just fine" and of cause at that given moment much to Jimmy's delight she would drop the hay bale "ahh shoot" she kicked the bale and then re hooked it tossing it onto the tractor annoyed to look a fool.

"and no one is jumping my fence" she added after a long pause which just made Jimmy grin from ear to ear, Becky huffed at his gall and turned back to the hay her temper flaring. he was back alright same old Jimmy making fun of her she thought as she took her frustrations out on the hay.

Instead of finding delight on his face, she would find a concerned look on his face. Regardless she turned away, obviously mad at herself for looking like a fool and at him for picking on her again.. Well, he hadn't meant it that way, but she took it that way. He stepped up behind her, right close, placing his hands on her shoulders.

"I'm sorry Becky...I shouldn't have jus' showed up like I did. I jus' wanted t'see you an' all..." He squeezes her shoulders lightly.

Feeling his hand on her shoulder beck is slightly startled, not accustom to fellas touching her. Dating was just something she didn't allow time for.

Sure she had been to pictures and dances and the odd 4th of July BBQ but never a date and never had any man but her pa placed a hand so gently on her.

He seemed to genuinely be sorry Becky softened a moment but only a moment mind you " think nothing of it" she turned slightly and put the last bale on the tractor.

"I gotta take this up to the top paddock" she moved to the front of the tractor and was about to climb up when........

He had dated all the time in the rodeo, sex all the time, it had been a good life. Plently of good fun to go around. Yet, there was nothing special about it. And he felt something ever since he saw Rebecca again. It was odd, but he felt it.

As she moved towards the tractor, he knew. It was now or never. He decided to take the chance. Grabbing her arm firmly, he spun her around and leaned in, kissing her full on the lips.

"Well what do we have here,my brothers first time back down this way and he is already here instead of at my house, trying to hit on Becca, figured as much,I remember all the time that he use to gawk at you when you would run off crying, between laughing that is" A voice rang out as Dustin emerged from the tall wheat field, hoping over the fence with both legs all in one bound to land sqaurely on the firm ground, his polished black boots reflecting the sun off the silver buckles.

Dustin was said to be the most wanted man in all of the town,he was suposed to be the finest young gentlemen around. After serving four years in counter terrorism and S.W.A.T. down in LAPD,the country boy was back again, down where the sun is always shining and the only way to get a meal was to work hard for it.Wearing normal clothes,a nice over shirt, unbuttoned with an indistinct white shirt under it and tucked in with long dark black pants that matched his hair and boots.

Wearing a standard issue Bertta at one side in a holster,Dustin was the law around these parts. The sheriff, the judge and the only lawyer this far south.Having majored at Harvard law, getting a bachleors in Law before entering the Marines,Derek was the brightest son of a gun there was in this town.Flashing a charming smile towards Becky, the sheriff came to stand next to his brother "Damn, bro what do they feed you in the rodeo, steroids?" The soldier said whimiscally.

her eyes big like saucers shock clearly painted on her face.

Jimmy pined her to the tractor and kissed her, at first she protested but then couldn't help but relent he smelt so good and his warm sensual lips caught her off guard for a moment she was kissing him back her eyes closed as they kissed.

Gaining her senses her eyes darted open "what are you doing" she pushed Jimmy off her and tried to hide the blush that was creeping to her cheeks. Becky lost for words now she was shocked by his boldness and definitely shocked at her response.

Hiding the fact he had for a moment gotten past her guard Becky Jumped on the tractor and attempted to start it. It gurgled and reved but wouldn't start "damm it" she punched the steering wheel hurting her fist she shook her hand frustrated "nothin on this god for sakin farm works." she climbed down again and landed on the ground infront of Jimmy. Her blond plat over one shoulder with few loose strands framing her face and the added touch of grease smeared on the tip of her nose.

Startled by the voice Becky steps back slightly flustered and looks about trying to calm her nerves that had just be shot to hell by Jimmy.

"oh just what I need the Mc kenny brothers" she shook her head pretending to be annoyed and went to fetch some tools. Walking between the two brothers pushing them out of her way.

He sighed lightly wondering how the hell he was going to get himself out of this one. And thank the lord, a distraction, Dustin's entrance. He'd have to smack him for barging in, but then thank him for saving him later. He hung his head, shaking it and smiling slightly. He let his embrace on Rebecca fall slack as he turned towards his brother. His lips opened up and out came a hearty laugh as he slapped his brother on the shoulder.

"It's good to see you too brother. I was just uh...catching upon some lost time with Becky here..."

"Where becky gets that face,I already know something more than just catching up on old times has happened, you remember Johnson? when he tried to forcefully keep this lass down,he learned what happens when you mess with Becky...he spent time in the hosipital for weeks and since I was his lawyer,he lost his case against her,I guess I wasnt doing to good that day" Dustin said with a slight smirk looking from Becky to his brother.

As his brother slapped him on the arm, with his hand,Dustin drew out his pistol and set it to his bro, like a real fast draw cowboy would(been watching to many cowboy movies)."Watch it bro,I am a dangerous man, you've been gone for to long, but last I heard you were big in the rodeo world, what is your famous ass doing back here with us 'country folk' " His brother said mockingly but with good intent.

"catchin up my eye, ye was pawing me....ye should watch ye brother sheriff" Becky smiled to herself amused at the predicament Jimmy was now in.

Finding the tool she needed she pushed her way back between the Mc Kenny brothers and then dropped to the ground and slid under the tractor.

The boys could see her shapely legs hanging out from under it but that was about it. she wiggled about trying to reach a nut to drop the sump out.

Dustin looked to his brother and smacked his brother for trying to bend down and look a little bit closer at Becca's legs,it was ungentlmenly like, the sheriff thought.Looking to his brother he told him why he has come "Ma's looking for you,you better get on home before she comes after you with a frying pain and drags you back home by your ears" The sheriff said.

Understanding that to be no empty threat James quickly went off and started back across the wheat field Dustin had come through.James looked back at Dustin and asked him why he wasn't comming,Dustin only replied "becuase me and Becky are friends and we tend to visit a lot ever since I repented for all the bad things YOU did to her brother, but you wouldn't know that becuase you've been away, mister superstar." Derek replied Whimiscally as he went around to the other end and leaned under the tractor.

Leaning under, the Sheriff quickly pulled the cap she was having troubles with off and handed to her."Sorry,I know you don't need help but I figure it would be better if you didn't go showing yourself off to my bro why you are under there,I mean I can't deny your a beautiful woman Becky, but you don't wanna tempt James, you have no Idea what Cities can do to people, trust me...I know" Derek said casually.

Becky listened as the sheriff sent his brother on his way, he did embellished alittle. Aye he had come by and sure enough had said he was sorry for there teasing as lads but it would take more then that to win Becky over.

He leaned under the tractor and Becky stopped thinking he wanted to say something, he then removed the nut without effort causing her to want to hit him with the wrench in her hand.

He then had the gall to imply she had invited Jimmy's attraction. Her eyes flaming she slid from under the tractor and stood toe to toe with Dustin " If you weren't a law man......I'd" she didn't finish her words she turned away and stomped off to fetch a bucket to catch the oil from the sump.

Returning he was still standing there, thinking on his words for a moment she replied " If the city has changed your brother sheriff ...I see that as your problem not mine, he wont be getting encouragement around here I have no need for men...certainly not a Mc Kenny Brother" she eyed him and then smugly smiled to herself as she placed the bucket under the tractor.

Tacking a scarf from her pocket she rubbed her forehead and down the neck line of her singlet, it was a very hot day. "want a drink sheriff, I am heading in while this drips if you want one" she turned and headed out of the barn making her way slowly back to the house.

He hadnt really tried to win becky over with anythings,he always viewed their "Friendship" as a way to be sorry for all that he ever did to her.In the army they trained people to be respectful and well,Dustin McKenny sure as hell was respect as well as noble.

As she came toe to toe with him,the Soldier looked down at here, obviously larger than her with broad shoulders and muscles like corded steel, wiring down his body, the muscle as hard as rock and visable against his tight white undershirt. The Sheriff didnt have a reply to her not hitting him,but well if it cames down to blows,he wouldn't fight back, not that he couldnt, but that he thought it immoral to hit a woman.

"The city sure would have changed him,did you see how he now had the guts to just up and advance on you,he probably didnt even give a damn about what you felt, but anyways, about a drink I would love one but I am not sure,I sense a lot of anti McKenny reverberating from you and the house, are you sure I would be safe" The Sheriff said as he moved to stand behind her and follow her up the pourch.

chuckling softly 'what you think I would poison a law man, sheriff" Becky smiled amused that he was frightened just alittle.

"and it aint the house with the Anti McKenny its just me" she winked and opened the door and walked down the hall to the kitchen.

He followed her in removing his hat and standing by the kitchen table. "It be about lunch time, ye hungry sheriff" Becky stood in front of the fridge with the door ajar glancing in......also it served to cool her down for it was a might hot day.

Grabbing the jug of lemon aid she poured two glasses and set them on the table before returning to the fridge to see what she could rustle up for lunch " well sheriff will you be joining me?" she smiled at him sweetly still amused that he was a tad uneasy with her Anti Mc Kenny attitude "Promise not to poison it" she grinned

As he followed her and listened to her talk, the Sheriff heard the remark about poisoning a lawman "Now I don't mean to sound confident here but there are many a woman around here he would love to see you poison me with a sedative and sell me as a slave to them" The police man said with no expression at all as he followed her into the main Kitchen.

Leaning against the main doof enterance. The Sheriff looked up when he was handed a glass of lemonade,it looked a little more yellow than it was supposed to,the sheriff almost thought it was piss, but not showing any disdain or visable weakness, the sheriff gulped it down and tried to keep a stright face,to much sugar and it tasted something aweful, but the strong ex counter terrorist has had worst in weird countries he could bearly prenounce like Yberjerkastan or something.

When he had heard lunch,it was a weird thing,Becky usual never invited him to lunch and this was a rare event.Having a lot of rest time in the military, the soldier learned to cook pretty good, almost gormet, hoping to impress people back home. This was one time "Well why don't you let me cook for us Becky,I am pretty good at it" He was hoping this was on time he might impress her.

The sheriff had a thing for Becky ever since he was like thirteen but he never said a thing about it.The reason he got back from the military and S.W.A.T. she was the reason why.He didnt say a single thing about it ever, never mentioned it or even tried to obviously let her know,it was sorta just his secret that no one really knew.

Becky Carter glanced at Sheriff Dustin Mc Kenny, was he serious. "you wanna cook for me?" she mused a moment then gave way "well by all means Sheriff" stepping away from the fridge she sat down at the kitchen table and watched as he rounded the table to the fridge.

She could help but admire his rear in those dark jeans as he bent looking for ingredients, taking another sip of lemon aid Becky tried to avert her eyes " I am not sure what you will find of use but there be a garden out back if I can fetch you anything" Becky asked not accustomed to just sitting about being served.

Even when her pa was alive she had done all the cooking so this was truly a rare occasion for her. Becky sat back and placed her feet on one of the other chairs watching Dustin move about the kitchen.

Dustin quickly moved back towards the kitchen and looked at what she had in her cabnits, she had a couple of things but some things from the gardens would be like "So,do you have any lettace and some carrots out there? I mean am going to cook a nice pasta dish with some bread but I think a salad would be good,if you don't got anything, that will be fine." The sheriff said.

He was dead serious when it came to cooking. He was hoping he didnt mess up to bad,he really wanted to impress becky, though she was as hard as rock,he sheriff was determined to see a different side of her just for a second. As she moved and went off to the garden, the sheriff called a friend of his in town and ordered something sent in,some red roses.

Quickly used some pots and pans, pulling them from the high rack and setting a fire a blaze, the sheriff watched and sent her another couple of things out to get from the garden, knowing his friend with the flowers wouldnt be far from the house.Quickly leaving some things to cook, the sheriff looked out the window as his friend arrived, running to give him some things.

Meeting him at the window, the Sheriff took the roses and hide them across his back as Becky walked back in,hiding them from sight and slowly edging away from the window, back towards where the pots and pans were boiling. He had pulled his vest off and some water had splashed across his tight white under shirt to where, some of his hardened abs were seen against the now translucent material, yet the sheriff didnt notice it.

"will these do?" Becky asked as she climbed the back steps arms full of vine ripe tomato's and crisp green lettuce, she had even managed to dig up a few radishes and some chillies picked fresh from her potted plant by the back step.

She eyed Dustin he was looking at her oddly, what was the matter with him she thought as she placed the items on the bench.

"ahh yeah they will do fine" Dustin stammered, looking at the Sheriff Becky noticed he had made himself at home his vest placed on the back of the kitchen chair and the pots on to boil.

She also noticed his shirt, he had spilt some water on his self and she couldn't help but admire the view. Fine chiselled abs peeked through the translucent material. Becky feeling hot again blushed alittle and averted her eyes hoping he hadn't noticed her staring at him. " care for another drink Sher...Dustin" She decided since he was eating at her table she would be dammed if she would be so formal. Even if he was cooking, it was still her home.
