I... never thought I'd ask that.

Anyway, guys, I'm editing a wedding video for a couple of my good friends. They like the song "When You Say Nothing at All," by Phil Vassar. [sic] There are a number of versions floating around, but as near as I can tell, Vassar himself has never done a cover of this song. Am I wrong? Have I missed something? It's not on any of the albums. Is there a live cover getting airplay?

I kiss your feet. *smack* Ouch, spurs. Help me-

well

Alison Krauss and Union Station did it as well as Roland Keating.

As far as I know,he didnt do that song.

Allison Krauss's version is the prettiest.

I'm wondering if they were thinking of the Roland Keating version. Is there any chance he could be mistaken for Phil Vassar, do you think?

Pardon my ignorance. I like older Country and Bluegrass, but I guess I'm not really a Modern Country kind of guy-

It was sung by Keith Whitley. I believe his version to be the best.

I believe he wrote it for his wife, Lorrie Morgan. Never heard of Phil Vassar recording it.

RONAN Keating, woops!

The song was actually written by written by Don Schlitz and Paul Overstreet. I don't know if Phil Vasser has ever recorded it.

The original by Keith Whitley is far superior to any other version i've ever heard, though.

Vassar (sp?) was a songwriter before he got the singing bug. He's written for quite a number of country singers. Maybe that's what they were referring to?
