In the UK, this would be considered a hate crime. It will be interesting to see if they prosecute this guy, since this was not anti-Muslim. In the USA, because of the much more lenient allowable speech, it would not be a crime at all, unless there is a call to murder Jews. Even then, it would have to be phrased in a specific way.

Maybe it isn't a crime in the USA, but you do run the risk of being fired. People (and trolls) have been fired for less. The USA-law may be more lenient, but not more protective.

If it were my choice, I would fire this asshole in a New York second. And anybody else who says this kind of thing about any group of people.

This sort of verbal attack is typical of what we see going on in the fake news media. The power to just say vile things about people without any factual basis. The constant ranting to 'impeach trump' when no crime has been committed is the same mentality. They just keep ramping up hate in the minds of the mindless. They hope to wear down any threat to their control over others.
