Have you ever known one?
My stepfather is.
He weighs almost 300lbs, only leaves the house a few times per week (which has turned into a decrepit slum due to neglect and disrepair), and lays on the couch and watches TV, and constantly chain-smokes all day.
The worst aspect of his lifestyle is the chain-smoking. Because it negatively affects others around him.
He is also a very angry and bitter person, ask him something and he starts screaming.

It is VERY easy to fall into a life of sloth and gluttony. I would know this because many years ago I was overweight and did the same things. But I had the strength and willpower to dramatically turn that around.
I used to be almost 300lbs, but now I am almost 6'4 and ~200 lbs and dropping. People have told me I "look like skin and bones" and I am "tall and lanky".
With his current lifestyle, it would be a goddamn miracle if he lives another 10 years. I've constantly warned him that if he doesn't change his ways he could die, but he still doesn't seem to care.
