After watching Target's store foot traffic decline by a whopping 12% overall after Target cancelled their DEI initiatives. both Costco and Apple rejected similar stockholder initiatives at their respective annual meetings this morning. The Costco vote was 98 percent opposed and 2 percent in favor (Costco has seen an increase in purchases since Target caved in to political pressure).

Walmart has not seen foot traffic drop since they jettisoned their DEI efforts, but Walmart has said they will simply attempt to insure proper "anti-DEI procedures" (which is Trumpspeak for "white male managers" ) over their predominantly Chinese supply chain.

wouldn't it be nice to think they voted against the anti-DEI measures because they are inherently immoral and wrong, and not have to realise they only voted that way because of a threat to their profits? *sigh*
I would like to think that of the 92%, not all were voting this way because of the bottom line.

See? DEI is good for business!

It WOULD be nice....highly improbable given the avaricious nature of hedge funds, but still nice. :)

We might suppose that the customers are driven at least in part by moral considerations when choosing where to shop.
