Corsets

Need some help. I am looking for someone to make tailored corsets. The catch is I live in Georgia and cant travel too far. Unfortunately I am not a small girl (rather curvey) so the premade is out of the question they just dont fit right *sigh* so if anyone has any suggestions I would greatley appreciate it.

www.versatilefashions.com does excellent work, and can do custom work off detailed measurements -I believe they draft a sloper (muslin mock up), to ensure proper fit prior to doing the real thing. I have one of their "off the rack" designs (drafted/sewn in house, but off standardized measurements, rather than my exact measurements) and I was thrilled with both the work and customer service.

www.waspcreations.com also does custom work, and will work off detailed measurements, so you might try contacting them.

I know there were some *fabulous* people in Atlanta who used to do very high end custom work, but I believe they officially closed up shop several years ago. You might try contacting Atlanta BDSM groups, and see if you can find anyone closer (with a good reputation) by word of mouth.

Hello there! CM has given you some great advice but I have a few other names for you.
Corset Kitten's Closet is in Atlanta
Black Cat Designz is in Charlotte (4 hours away)

However, you don't necessarily HAVE to go to a corsetmaker to get a custom corset. You can pick a corsetmaker online - I have a corsetmaker listing - and then get their measurements sheet. You can go to a dressmaker or tailor near you and have them take down whatever measurements the corsetmaker requires (this is usually free, but tipping is appropriate) and then send those in. I have gotten multiple custom corsets by mail-order and they still fit like a dream!

There is a girl in my local BDSM group that makes them. She is also a costume design student in college. So, you could try colleges maybe. Just an idea.
