I am a true advocate for corsets, but at this point in my life, I have yet to find someone who appreciates them as much as I'd like. I was curious as per others' experiences with corsetting. I'd like to hear from someone who understands the physical reactions and mental emotions that run rampant through my head when I'm tightlaced. I personally am building quite the collection, but I have yet to purchase a custom-made corset. Leather, satin, brocade. I've got it...

I have yet to have my biggest fantasy fulfilled:
To have my hands tied to a pole/column/tree (etc.) and have my partner lace me up as tight as my body will allow(perhaps just a little more), while being penetrated from behind. A spreader pole on my ankles may also factor in. I think it's a breath control/bodily constriction/submissive thing. But that's just me!

I just recently watched a facsinating segment about a true corset lady. They x-rayed her and found her internal organs moved substantially around inside her body. If I remember right her mid-section went from something like 27" down to 19" when she was laced up. She actually passed out at one point when she really had herself tightened down.

I think corsetts are very sexy but I believe she was too extreme.

I'm not going all wasp-wasted nor am I aiming for a pipestem effect, I only wear it to the extent where it makes my curves, highly accented... it makes my figure into a smoothed arc and bend of flesh and leather. My leather one is my favorite, I'm working on posting pictures.

I have JUST taken pics that are being uploaded to my computer as we speak...
I'll post in the Pics Page.

But in addition to corsets (my main obsession) I also adore fitted leather restraints and posture collars. I so desperately want to get a custom made High necked posture collar in which it's lower hem comes all the way across to the bend of my clavicles, and all the way down to my cleavage. ( so basically, a super immobilzing posture collar)

I have a question for you. In one of your previous posts, you stated:

[qoute] I lead two different lives if you can understand, college student/corset fiend. [/quote]

I was wondering why you couldn't combine the two lives? I personally would love to see a young lady with the highly accented curves resulting from wearing a corset here on campus. (though it would make staying focused in my classes a bit difficult. ;) )
As for your question on experiences with corsetting, I'll make sure and point my slave to this thread, as she has experience with them (and loves to wear them too :D) I'm sure she will have some insights to share.

also... here is a link to a previous thread that deals with the subject of Corset Training

I do wear my corset outside (to classes and out and about) But those are not serious corsets, I can barely drive my car when I'm in my corset. Let alone, walk around from class to class, bending over and sitting down... I'm talking about SERIOUS corsetting on the side. Like breathless tightlacing, and the interaction with my 'lacers'. That gorgey sub feeling that you're entire body is in their hands... not to mention the ability to breathe is in their control...

Corsets!

My Wife has a few. I got her one while we were home in New Orleans from this place

Love it! It was made by this lady:

Isn't Persephone just beautiful?
Limbhugger are you talking about this lady?

Have you checked at Ebay? You can get a custom made from Merchantes for around $200 or so, not bad if you ask me.
I have been trying to hone my sewing skills so I can make My Wife her own, but as of yet, no luck.
There is nothing like a beautifully bound woman!

Thanks for the sites... I actually have quite a few sites of my own, I am hell bent on getting one from the corsetier who services www.staylace.com They're based in Great Britain and they have RAVE reviews... I'm not concerned about the money issue. For me, price usually equals quality. The higher the price, the better the quality. USUALLY, I'm not saying that goes for all, but in my experience it has been the case.

Oh good gosh! Fie on those pipes... holding you back from such an experience. I'm sure that you can get the look though, finding soft boning (plastic or plyable metal) corsets and using light strength lacing (ribbon or loose weave cord) so as to not stress your body. Even if isn't tight, it'll still give you the like image...

Great pics

Mrs. Aurie.
I have gotten my Wife one off of Ebay, and it is very nice. It was custom made and I think after shipping it was $250. Not a bad price, very well made. Custom is the way to go, especially with large breasts. My Wife is a 36DD and there is no way she could ever wear an over the bust off the rack.
Again there is nothing sexier than a tight laced woman! Thanks for the pics.

scuse me for butting in- see LH I said I'd post when I could contribute- but I've often wonder about the attraction to corsetting myself.
I wore one underneath an outfit about a year ago to achieve a certain "effect" and while I was miserably uncomfortable in at first as it was laced quite well I noticed that the amount of attention I got from men while wearing it was quite high. So what is it about a corsetted woman so many men find appealing?
Also, I noticed that rather then feeling " bound" while I had it on I actually felt more powerful. I think this was due in part to the change in posture and body shape but I was curious if anyone had a similar experience?

I have attached a pic of said corset

Well hello MsKey. Looking very "domme-ish" there...hehe.

I don't know what it is about corsetted women that I fins so wonderfully attractive. It can enhance the demureness of a woman or her dominance. I just know that I like 'em. :)

LH, I don't think it's demureness or dominance for me. I like the feeling of having my figure under control. The taut pull of the lacing and that breathy rise and fall of my breasts when I'm tight laced. And frankly, though I am big breasted to begin with... (naturally) I adore the shelf effect. I could balance a teacup on my chest while laced up, if I were so inclined...

Corset of mine... and some more

domme-ish? me? Ummm...thank you?

Ms Aurie I am all to familiar with the tea- cup balancing act. I think it's part of why I so rarely wear or think to wear corsets. My bustline already runneth over, add a corset to the mix and my breasts tend to preceed me into the room.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I absolutely love being corsetted. I finally splurged at the end of last year and got one custom made, and the difference in comfort is just amazing. I always wanted to tightlace, but couldn't stand the feeling for more than an hour or two. I can now lace down four inches without any discomfort (and for most of each day, unless I'm doing a lot of bending, like when I'm painting the house or mowing the lawn!), I can drive the car, run around with my son, even sing properly. Prior to that, I had the breathlessness and rib pinching that many ppl complain of, but I think it was just due to bad corsets. I got mine from www.meschantes.com (you have to ask for cotton twill colours), and its lovely :) Wasp Creations is the other place I want to buy from, Amy's corsets make a great shape. Corset liners also make a huge difference in comfort, less skin problems in particular, and much cleaner.

So that's the physical. Emotionally, I love the sensation of tightening the laces, feeling the material wrapping around my body and holding me tight. Someone once described it as a feeling of being hugged all day, and I agree. It makes me feel sexy and curvy, and as a fairly slim person, it actually gives me hips! Plus, my husband loves to lace me in, even if he does it a bit tight sometimes! A bit overenthusiastic I think ;). Its a very erotic thing, allowing him to tie me in and basically control my comfort and breathing for the next few hours, even when we're at work and not together. And sex with it on is very interesting ;)

I just took my love of lacing to the ultimate level. I'd been planning to get this done for a while, but an opening came up today, and I jumped... Check my pics for my lacing tattoo.

Check my new tattoo!

Greetings:

If you are also "hell bent" on training and wearing corsets on a daily basis, you can get a training belt and/or a corset designed to be worn for movement (yest the company in Britian makes them) they are shorter on the sides and designed specifically for you. They are a special order item and you have to call them. I don't think they are on the website.

I have worn "real" ones under suits to work and it can be done. There are also those meant for "theIcantbreathedontaskmeto" nights...days... you get the point.

Anyway, I long to be back in mine. They are currently having panels removed and the wait can be daunting.

Good Luck and if I can help, let me know.

I've made corsets for myself, using those spring steel strips from street sweepers as bones, believe it or not. You find them broken off in the gutter sometimes, so they're free, which is a big point in their favor. I filed off the sharp ends and encased them in strong fabric before sewing them into the body of the corset. I am no expert on corset construction, though I've studied it to some extent. I assume patterns are available somewhere, though I've always invented my own with mixed success.

I'm very familiar with the physical effects of corseting, though I don't indulge in it as part of any BDSM practices. I can certainly see how it would fit in both physically and psychologically.

Being a fashion history nut, I have always loved books on antique underwear. A few of those books make coy references to the way the blood is stimulatingly forced to bust and pelvis when your middle is constricted, but I have never seen any detailed medical analysis of corseting, other than the usual dire warnings issued during the nineteenth century by concerned physicians. Sometimes I wonder if they were more scandalized by corseting's role in feminine sexual arousal than in the disarrangement of the internal organs. :)

My best friend (who no longer lives anywhere near me) made her first corset herself. She rooted through our theater's costume shop for patterns, and she actually found a pattern that was made during the 70's, it looked older but that was just the packaging design (made to look victorian) She hyped up the boning ( she had ordered steel boning as opposed to the limp-tastic plastic they asked for) She used course cotton muslin in three layers to build the panels and the final result was lovely. She dyed it a dark crimson. It wasn't a waist-reducing corset, but it fit her just fine. She ended up wearing it on Halloween as a turn of the century French whore, complete with black stockings, multiple skirts and Moulin Rouge envying makeup. Hair all mussed and displaced. She was gorgeous. Toulouse Lautrec would be proud.

wow

I didn't really ever that I liked corsets the way i do, but I am warming up to it quickly! Thanks Ms. Aurie for helping me realize this! I am a mild Dom and if and when i get my own sub, I will want her to wear corsets.

:) I am really enjoying this a lot! They please me very much!
