By chance, I discovered that stories I wrote about 2 years ago were available on Amazon Podcast Erotica - Taboo | Listen on Amazon Music. I don't understand German, but it seems someone is taking advantage of my work when I haven't done it myself. How can I prevent this from happening? Another situation on the same site - there were other stories that all looked like they were from amateur authors, but as I said, I don't speak German.

About a year ago, I stumbled upon an anthology of ten stories, of which three were mine (and possibly four, with one under a different title).

I filed a copyright complaint, from the product page. I explained that several of the stories were mine (which was pretty obvious with titles like "Rulk the Rat and the Demon Dagger", "Lust Demon's Orgy" and "Not A Soul" all together), and added a link to my author page here on Lit.

A few hours later I got an email from Amazon that they'd handled it, and the book was removed from the site.

As for stories being pirated on other free sites, yeah. It happens. Not much you can do about it, really. If it's a small, privately hosted site you can contact the site owner and hope your story is taken down (I've done that a few times too). But mostly you just have to shrug and take pleasure in the fact that someone thought your story was worth stealing.

Good luck!
