Greetings all. I've recently receive an email from another site called fetlife(dot)com. I was actually informed that my work had been reproduced there without my consent, but they wanted me to send them a DMCA letter to them that would contain my real name, address, phone #, etc. Has anyone else had to go through this?

Sounds like they want your personal information. There wouldn't be any logical reason for them to self-police like this.

The weird part is that they acknowledged that they suspect it wasn't me, and I confirmed through their message that I didn't even have an account with them, but they say there's nothing they can do unless I submit that form (which doesn't have any identity theft type info, but I still don't really want to give out my phone # or anything). I tried contacting the Literotica admin, but haven't gotten any response.

This is pretty much a no brainer, I think. Did you put the story on this site for a free read? If you did, you kissed it good-bye already as far as protecting it. Why would you give two thoughts to giving your real name and other true information to an erotica story site--or any other unvetted site, for that matter?

Hey, Alpaca: I've been contacted by them as well, and the scumbag in question had around 40 stories up from Lit at one point. Members started calling him out, and he started deleting them, then claiming it was the work of "browncoat moderators". ( Who have deleted two of them based on DMCA notices )

If they sent you a link to your stuff, then send the DMCA. Unfortunately, he deleted all three of mine before I could do so.

I actually sent a load of links to Laurel as well.

He only has about one strike left. If you can put a DMCA over the plate, he'll be toast.

I signed up to keep an eye out on him, so if you don't want to sign up, I'll use my account to check any links the members sent you and confirm that they're your stories.

And yes, SR, I know it's a gesture in futility, but this numbskull and the numberskulls defending him there deserve the beat-down of his removal. He's claiming that some dozens of Lit authors are all his pen names *laugh*

He's a scouries on that site.

I have found copies of my stories on story3x(dot)info. Anyone know how to contact them?

You're better off trying to locate the host on those .info sites. They're fly-by-night ( cheap domain ) and often laden with malware.

If you can locate the host, a lot of times they have prohibitions against adult material, and you can get the whole website nuked just by reporting it.

It doesn't accomplish much, as they just find another host and start over, but at least you have the satisfaction of annoying them for a few minutes :)

the whois on that domain indicated that it was a GoDaddy.com registered name.

Could be fun.

If it's paid hosting, then the adult angle won't work. No inline ads, so it must be paid.

However, DMCA notices might. If your stuff is up there, send them off to Go Daddy. Don't see anything of mine, although I did see "Samuel X" in the brief summary of one as I was browsing categories I've posted in.

Nice that at least one site was offering to do the right thing (after getting caught facilitating theft, or more politely, fencing stolen property).

Of course, sr71plt was right to be suspicious of any unsolicited approach requesting personal information. To quote the pickpocket in Casablanca: "Vultures, my dear sir, vultures everywhere".

I'd certainly appreciate the head's up. They sent the following link:

https://fetlife.com/users/587213/posts/769026

but of course I can't access it without setting up an account. I'd appreciate the assist.

In the past, the Literotica admin contacted the site for me (different site) and called them out and the stories were taken down. I didn't have to submit any forms. But I haven't heard back from Laurel or Manu from my PMs. I suppose I could go ahead and send the form, but I want to know how extensive the damage is.

It's a different thief from the one I was contacted about, but it's there. This one can't even copy correctly.

Drops off in mid-word almost at the end of the story.

"Leave you? Honey, I'm just getting started." And she meant it. She kept the older woman on the edge of ecstasy for twenty minutes. She would tease her to the brink but not let her cum. But after a point, Carrie had stayed on the edge as long as she could stand. All Alicia had to do was insert a couple of fingers into that tortured pussy and it was all over. It was like a damn broke inside her, in more ways than one. She hadn't let herself truly experience pleasure in years. Her sex life had been non-existent since she had betrayed the trust of a friend. All that anxiety and all that self-doubt van

I'll be checking the rest of "CarolinaButterfly's Writing" to see how many more of them are stolen from Lit.

EDIT:

Here's another one, the follow-up:

Once again drops off mid-word.
