That kind of feature is a good thing, though...

It can also cause problems if you use it to much.

The context of posts can be lost, and if you don't check first, you can ezzily make a mistake, and post from an ignorant (or at least less well informed) point of view.

So using it can save you the time and effort of reading the posts of those posters that the rest of the posters think are IDIOTS , but remember the context is important to the conversations on the BB as well as content, and you could be caught out by the way this one works.

If it at least showed when a post had been removed by your option to remove, you could check to see if your context would be altered by the post.

So if you want to fill up the ignore list on your options, please don't forget that there are other ways of ignoring the same posters.

I wanted to take Bonnie Wee Lass's advice and just not post on threads that were cluttered up with POOP....but then there was POOP everywhere...and I had to miss out on some meaninful conversations because I didn't want to further spread it about.

This is a nice solution for the short term.....
