i've got this problem, i can cook near enough anything, but
my girlfriend is a disaster hasn't got a clue, burns pies,
the last balti looked like a chicken pudding. i want to teach her to cook and let her confidence in cooking grow as well as the pleasure of it, i really chill out cooking.
any ideas or recipes?

There are some pretty good cookbooks available for children. They have a lot more sophisticated recipes than you might think in some of them, but most importantly for your purposes, they are recipes designed for people who can't cook.

Cooking

I know what you mean. I love to cook and my boyfriend is clueless in the kitchen. When he makes dinner it smells like someone is cooking a dog wrapped in plastic. But I am working on him. I started out with cookies. The easiest thing ever. I sat him down and told him he needed help. He wanted to buy them ready made and just throw them in the oven. I resisted the urge to smack him. I have since been trying to teach him how therapeutic it is to cook from scratch. It's like painting. You have created something and then you get to watch everyone enjoy it. Food is very sensual to me and cooking always puts me in a good mood. Try cookies and move on to things like muffins and bread. Baked good are the easiest to start with.

Good luck.

Food is one of the greatest (and most accessible) aphrodisiacs around! Make it a game for her...start easy, with toast and honey, some on you, some on her, some on the toast. You could even do canned soup, and then feed each other. I think a lot of women feel they are expected to cook, and thus they feel an aversion towards the art. It can be intimidating, if you never learn the fun of it.

If you can cook, then maybe you can give her a lesson in the nude or something; anything to let her know that it's fun and not a chore. I personally LOVE to cook, but my boyfriend was pitiful in that area, until I made basting a turkey into an erotic experience ;) Now he makes brilliant omlettes.
