Contest II : "window"

I come to find the procedure for entering, I read that it would be due around the fifth...

I like the poll but I have nothing against PM voting either way.

weekly is rash for me, I do most of my free time drawing on weekends. which gives me a drawing ever weekend. I could manage or skip one here and there.

okay where do I send my drawing "Window of Oppertunity"...???

pick one way of voting and stick to it.

The poll is fine. It's a pick one poll not a rate this poll so if there is troll activity there's minimal potential for damage.

PM voting is fine too.

Mixing poll and PM allows for possible double votes. But hey, this is fun right? A collegial way to share erotic themed artwork and enjoy each other's company. I bet it stays fun.

Weekly sounds neat in theory, and to get it really going it might be a good idea. Keeping that frequency may be hard though. It depends on how many participants join in and stay involved. I say try that for a while and revisit it later if interest wanes.

i'm interested in entering a contest one of these days, but am really uncomfortable with having my name attached to an entry. The polls seem to work fine, but numbering the entries would probably be a good idea.
 
I had the same thoughts about the poll vs PMing the votes as Patty. The poll would be difficult to troll, and the PMing of votes adds work for the person putting on the contest. Keeping it simple was part of the original plan.

I've already expressed my thoughts about weekly contests in the other thread, but basically I like the build up of seeing new stuff every other week. I'm more concerned about a burn out factor getting introduced because of too much frequnecy for the artists producing the work.

I also had a thought regarding all the top entries that would involve a cash prize once a year. But if we have 52 entries for people to wade through at the end of each year it would become difficult at best for artists and viewers/voters.

Just thoughts in the wind for the time being ...

My thought was that for voting purposes...the entries are numbered. After voting we can put names (LIT names...eg..you would be "Entitled") to works (unless you want NO credit?).

any other thoughts?

From my point of view the name versus number question will make no difference. I sign everything I post. Having had entire galleries of my artwork posted by someone else who claimed it was theirs, I use my name and my original dated post or inquiry mail to establish my copyright.

hmmm maybe that would be a cool challenge though. create somthing people won't guess is mine. :p

that is the way that the voting is done with poem contests, the poem has a number and after the contest a post is made with the ranking winner on down with the authors name then attached. Makes it a challenge to pick who drew what <grin... but that is an idea...

This contest has three?

The contest that's currently happening has only one ingredient that has to be in the submission. The current ingredient is "Window."

All mediums are welcome.

Each submission can be erotic or non-erotic.

Submissions for the current contest are due in tonight or extremely early tomorrow morning to Dark Glasses via e-mail. PM Dark Glasses for the e-mail address.

It should also be noted that these contest threads should also be allowed to die once a contest is finished. New ones should be started with each new contest to help avoid confusion, yes? Perhaps the original poster for each contest thread should edit the first post to declare the contest over and that thread dead.

Thoughts?

Its due this eveing or really early tomorrow. If you have a submission you need to e-mail it to Dark Glasses as he's the one handling this second contest. You can PM myself or Dark Glasses for the e-mail address.

I say keep it to a poll, its easier and i do like seeing the bar and numbers roll up.

I also liked the idea of keeping the artists pieces annom, and only after the contest is finished disclose the identity. That way people will be voting on the piece and not the person.

Cant wait till tomorrow to see what people cooked up with the ingredient.
 
polling is fine with me, no sense in confusing people after we've just got started. By people I mean me! lol
