Contest Award!

I was looking through my submissions yesterday and came across a 'W' on one of my submissions from last August 2006. I had no idea that I had ever won anything. I've been throiugh that file 100 times but saw a lot of 'H's but never a 'W'.

My editior LadyCibelle told me to PM (private Message) Laurel and she might be able to explain it to me.

I did so and found out I wom second place in a monthly contest last August.

Laurel was extremely nice and explained it all to me. I just wanted to tell all you at AH that Lierotica has it's faults but people like Laurel and my editors LadyCibelle and Techsan make it a great place to post stories.

I have lots and lots of stories posted here. I had to go back and read the story to remember what it was about. After reading it I decided that I am a damn good writer and proud of it.!!!

As I said before, I'm never out to win a contest, I'm still not. It just caught me by surprise. When a story gets thousands of reads and hundreds of votes it usually falls pretty fast. I just enjoy writing. I'm always rooting for new authors in hopes that a few will turn out to be gems.

I have two, I've asked for them to be removed.

I was as surprised as you were when I found out months later that I had placed in a couple of the monthly contest...

As far as I know, the W will stay with the story forever...

Laurel said that in the future the 'W' will be posted with the story. Not exactly sure what she meant. Just have to wait and see.

Hmmm I wonder if that means that the W will appear when a reader links to the story....

Oh, okay, so if you won first place in the Nude Day contest, I guess that will show up when reader pulls up the story....
