Do any of you use contacts?
I've had them for about 2 years but never really wore them - mostly because they weren't the correct prescription dispite the cow that giving them to me saying they are the correct ones, the same person that messed up my mother's glasses prescription

anyways
I just put them in tonight for the first time in about 4 months
wow, everything looks differant and they're not to uncomfortable either
things look much differant than from when I wear my glasses - bigger and slightly sharper but not really. The main differance is the focal distance, seems to be at a much more desireable range now

anyways

any other people?

*Nods* I've had contacts since I was 18. I very rarely wear glasses anymore. I think the contacts are better for your eyes in time because they don't have to strain to reach the lenses before the sight before you clears. Okay, maybe that didn't make sense. As long as you take them out regularly and keep them clean and free from tears, you'll do just fine :)

Yeah I know how to care for them and yes you did make sense - somewhat

anyways yeah I've had them since 16 actually but I was still growing then so they pissed me off - now that I've more or less stopped growing they're much more comfortable

I use the no-hassle wear n throw kind :D Much easier then pushing them back up my nose constantly... I just don't have a bridge there to hold them up

I've worn contact before... loved them, but my eye doctor says I can't wear them anymore. It seems that my eyes don't make enough tears to support the contacts. In general I'd rather wear contacts than relieing on my eye glasses.

I have the same problem
I blame my mother -.-

and that sucks little :(
considered lasik?
my aunt had it and loves it - though she still needs reading glasses a few years after the fact

I blame my mother too ~ in fact, I blame her for everything :p
I've thought about it a lot. I'm just weirded out by someone else touching my eyeballs... it's hard enough sometimes for ME to do it!

it is weird
but they're doctors so its all good

now if it was some random hobo down on the east side
then well I'd have to kick his ass

True... I'm just not so trusting when it comes to my eyes. I'd rather lose my hearing then my eyesight if I had to lose one or the other.

 Hey now! I'm a random hobo on the east side!

who said that last sentence was about you?

you said something about not liking people touching your eyes and I agreed, but with doctors its fine because they're trained
and if it wasn't and the case happened to be a hobo from the east side then well there'd be some ass kicking

plus I usually do anything to girls anyways

doesn't bug me to much, I'm more worried about my hands than my eyes, because if you're blinded you can still work, but you know, missing hands and fingers you're Kinda SOL

True! I think I'd rather just keep everything intact :D

well I know thing that wouldn't be fun to keep intact
though I hear it hurts getting rid of it ;)

but anyways

Oh gosh I have sworn off contacts...I stick to my glasses. Once a contact ripped in my eye. Later I tried the buggers again only to have a contact get stuck in my eye. All this happened to my same eye btw...*shudders*. My hope now is for corrective surgery.
