Contact lenses with your NFL team's name on them?!

I was watching the local morning news channel and they put Jets ones in one of the anchors eyes. It didn't look like the ones on the site I linked to. All they had on them was a tiny "Jets" logo on the bottom part of the lens.

I actually saw something on a news program the other night about teenagers going wild for these novelty contact lenses. They showed some very, very strange looking stuff -- not just color changes but fluorescent colors and bullseye patterns and all kinds of nonsense.

The scariest part (if the way these things looked wasn't scary enough) was that the kids are buying them in markets and beauty parlors, and not being fitted for them by a doctor, which is the law. These nifty little contact lenses are scratching eyeballs and causing bacterial infections that can result in blindness all over the country.

I agree.

I had a serious eye infection from my lenses a couple of months ago. It took weeks to heal and was extremely painful. My eyes are still not the same in that I can only tolerate my lenses for hours at a time now, instead of the days at a time I used to wear them.

Eyes are not something to play with.

I thought that would be the best way to do the Packers or the Bears. The helmet Emblem wrapped around the pupil. Instead of really tinny words and the emblem around the edge.

It would work great for the Bears because of the dark navy blue field. I can think of a number of reasons it would not look as good with the Packer's G.

Free prescription contacts with a General Electric or Coca Cola or Pepsi or Gulf logo.

They're all round logos. The pupil is the only part you need to see through. I bet it would boost beverage consumption from those constant subliminal messages.
