WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — The religious landscape in the United States is changing.

Islam is now among the fastest growing religions in America and it has led to a construction boom of mosques.

Mosques are not as ubiquitous as Starbucks or Mcdonald's but they are now sewn into America's landscape.

Religion expert Dan Cox says surveys show few Americans, three out of ten have met a person of the muslim faith.

"That represents something new and I think for some people, represents a threat," he said.

It's funny how they equate mosques with Starbucks and McDonald's, since so many people gather to worship in those places.
 
I've never been to a mega church. It doesn't look like it would be much fun. Far too large to be personal in any real way and church is supposed to be personal.

A church is not supposed to be personal. It's a place to pay hard earned money to pretend to pray.

We stopped going to church long ago when they sent us a premade payment book just like the one for our car.

He's correct, though.

Despite Trump's deep seated personal animosity towards all things Muslim (he saw thousands of them in New Jersey cheerin' the collapse of the WTC, remember), he has chose to focus Republican hatred upon #ThosePeople who speak Spanish during his administration. I think Trump's willing to give Muslims a pass because they helped him regain the title of the owner of "the largest building in New York City". :rolleyes:

Unless/Until Mike Pence takes office, I doubt we'll see a meaningful pogrom against Muslims in the near future.

Bigotry and Islamophobia might be on the rise among far Right laypeople, but at a state level all religions have equal rights in Commonwealth countries.
Unlike Coptic, Catholic Christians or apostats in Syria, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan and so on.

He only "likes" people who are useful to him.

Muslim immigrants and their offspring also tend to fare better than many Deplorables. Deplorables resent minorities who do better than themselves.

In this regard, leftists are far worse than those on the right. The former want to eliminate the Electoral College and the Second Amendment and emasculate Freedom of Speech and of Assembly from the First Amendment.
