Conspiracy theory, why not?

Conspiracy theories are a bit of a game with me. I can make one up about pretty much anything and sometimes can sound fairly convincing other times not so much. My personal favorite that I truly believe will come out to be true someday is the 2007 Patriots being told to take a dive in the Superbowl, but this is not a sports site and I won't bore anyone with that.

However, as I was perusing the threads and saw that there are 3 dedicated to the recent glut of stolen lit stories I have created one.

It's been determined that when we post something here we are all but begging for it to be stolen, but we obviously all still do it. Then we get pissed if someone takes it.

Now what will be the end result when an author gets pissed enough? They, like a guy who started a thread last week, ask how to pull their stories. They take their work down and will not put up anymore.

Or perhaps some authors decide fuck it, if someone can make a few bucks on my work why not me? It's pretty easy to put something up these days. End result, again less stories being posted here.

So what if these thieves Robin so and so and Maria are not individuals trying to earn a few buck, but a competitor of Literotica looking to bring down Lit's quality by having their authors pack it in.

Ridiculous? On the surface sure, Lit has who knows how many stories back logged and 80 or so new ones daily. Even if a few people leave will it matter much? Most likely not. But things like this are chain reaction. I leave, who cares? Maybe Pennlady leaves, no offense but again oh, well. But what if Jazcullen packs it in and makes a lot of noise that she is doing so? Or a Many Feathers or any of the truly top authors here? You never know.

On the side of why I think this is not an individual is simply, how the hell do they think they won't get caught? Then when they get caught it is generally before they can get paid. What is the point?

Now on that note if the book generated some money and Amazon bans the author and doesn't pay them who gets all the money? Amazon. Hmmm another theory but one I would not consider viable.

But I do believe my scenario is possible especially based on the fact of how huge it has become. The piracy has always been going on but it seems to have been amped up, or people are making a bigger deal about it.

Every time a thread is started it gives just a little more pause for people to want to put something here. Just so it doesn't appear that I made this idea up just for fun, I am basing it on the fact I have a story I was ready to submit that introduces a bunch of characters and a concept.

I was going to put some of it up for feedback, but the intention is to publish a full length version on amazon in a couple of months. I decided I will not post it here.

Unlike my incest crap this is mainstream and can be published anywhere. I want to be the only asshole who makes a buck or two on it. So I'm starting to think if I am thinking that way maybe that is what someone wants, but on a much larger scale.

Anyway, any thoughts? See this is what happens when I have an afternoon off.

Editing this to throw 2 more little tidbits into this equation. The long standing "60 views before the story is posted glitch" this could be a stealing bot.

The extra time it is taking to post stories here.
