In an interview with Catholic Militant last week, Greene said that recent efforts by Christian organizations and churches to help resettle undocumented immigrants and refugees in the U.S. are evidence of “Satan controlling the church.”
“The church is not doing its job, and it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” Greene said in the interview.

the words on the video are... something else.

seems to me she has it backwards: if jesus existed, he wouldn't have given a shit if following his tenets about 'loving one another' broke the law

Don't the teachings of Christ include something about kindness and hospitality to strangers?

Evil is a religious judgement, so I won't say the Catholic Church is evil, but it is one of the most corrupt and abusive organizations of world history. I would be proud to be attacked and insulted by it.

The Catholic League is not in the habit of criticizing those affiliated with the religious right, but most modern-day Christian conservatives are usually smart enough to paper over their historic anti-Catholicism in the interest of alliance building. Greene is a hardcore Bircher and extremely dumb, which forced them to speak up.

Christ and his parents were illegal immigrants into Egypt right after his birth. If the Egyptians hadn't taken them in, Herod's soldiers would have caught up to them there would be no Christian movement to talk about--or so the book goes.

"Greene has a history of offending African Americans and Jews, so bigotry is something that is apparently baked into her," wrote Catholic League President Bill Donohue in the letter to House Ethics Committee leaders Ted Deutch (D-FL) and Jackie Walorski (R-IN).

"The time has come for her to be either reprimanded or censured," Donohue added. "Her irresponsible behavior has already caused her to be removed from committee assignments. Accordingly, her burst of anti-Catholicism now demands stronger sanctions against her."

I have to laugh. The Catholics supported these fascists and now they are whining that they have turned on them? Wah, wah, wah call a wahmbulance. They are getting exactly what they deserve. When you lie down with dogs don’t be surprised when you wake up with fleas!

Actually, that is the Old Testament:

Exodus 23:9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
