Here's the thing; first of all, yes, the USA very well could go full-on like Iran. It easily could. Only in Iran, women would actually have more freedoms, as their abortion laws are actually more liberal than what some of the Christian extremists want for the U.S.; where women would become little more than state-sanctioned breeding stock.

And yet, many posters on here would actually cheer that on if or when it happened. They'd even proclaim "This is a great day for FREEDOM" as edict after edict would come down the pike that would effectively remove all of our freedoms, one after another.

And the ironic thing is this; yes, the American government would probably subpoena this website for a list of user names, who would then be issued warrants for their arrest; the charge being frequenting a pornography site. And, keep in mind that some of the most ardent defenders of a future American dictatorship/theocracy have more than one user account on here. Babyboomer50 has at least three or four by my last count, Rightguide has at least that many, if not more. Each of these people would likely receive a separate count for each screen name; which means they would theoretically be even more legally fucked than the rest of us.
