Nicole Mason (mayor's daughter)
Age: 24

*******************
4 weeks earlier

The Mayor's Ball.

It was an annual tradition that the city of New Port looked forward to every year. This was the first time Nicole would be attending seeing as how it was her father's first term as mayor.

A lot of people attended. Including those from the local police force and even some from the neighboring AF base.

To say she was a little nervous was an understatement for Nicole. She had been away for most of her father's campaign and this would be her first 'coming' out as it was. But what could go wrong, all she had to do was show up in a nice dress, say hello to a few people and then, smile and go home.

That was it.

Right?

*****************************************
Present

Yeah, that had been the plan. Nicole thought as she knelt over the toilet, dry heaving and trying to take deep breaths to calm her system down.

No, that night was a night that was going to change her life in ways she never thought possible.

And was bad? No. No it wasn't. The bad part was that the guy she ended up going home with was someone she had just met and someone she didn't bother to get his first name.

One thing she knew was that he was a cop. At least she figured he was. He had a gun...

And the way he fucked her that night. The way he used her so hard, Nicole didn't think that sort of pleasure existed. It seemed kind of corny to explain it that way but that's how it felt.

She was sure she'd never see him again and she was OK with that. But now... now what?

Officer Johnny Torello Sat in the lobby of the police stations counselors office, impatiently waiting to be seen. He'd been under review for a couple violent infractions he'd been involved in last month. Some street punk mouthed off at him and he'd cornered him against a wall, demanding some respect, but the kid took a swing at him, so he dropped him and broke the kids arm, without thinking. So now he had to sit there and listen to some civilian psychology expert pick him apart... it was such bullshit and he was ready to just walk out but he knew if he did he'd automatically go on suspension.

He couldn't deal with that, the last time he got suspended he nearly drank himself to death. This job was the only good thing he had going for him. If he wasn't out there on the beat he knew he'd just go crazy. "What the hell's taking so Damn long?" He wondered aloud, it was already five after eight, when he was supposed to see this new counselor, Nicole Mason. The mayor's daughter, no doubt some spoiled rich kid with a bleeding heart, or something, he assumed, having no idea that he'd actually hooked up with her at the mayor's ball last month. And he sure as hell never caught her name. All he could recall was how loud she moaned and how nice her ass looked in that dress she'd worn. Yeah, he would never forget that ass of hers.

Another minute crept by and Johnny got up and went over to the receptionist. "Yeah, hey, am I gonna be seen today, or what? I'm supposed to be on my beat right now. What the hell's taking the counselor so long to see me?" He asked, barely containing his annoyance over being made to wait. He tried to look back through the reception office to see if he could spot anyone more important than the receptionist as she just told him it wouldn't be but a few more minutes and could he please just sit back down ant wait some more, thank you very much. Hi grit his teeth and rubbed the back of his neck, letting out an annoyed and bitter laugh and shaking his head as he returned to his seat.

"Unintentional force... " Nicole whispered as she read the report about her next appointment. His folder was thick. It was a miracle that he hadn't been fired but he did have a lot of write ups and other non-successful counseling sessions.

She took a deep breath and closed the folder before putting in her desk. Picking up the phone, she called her receptionist and told her she was ready to see Officer Johnny Torello.

As she waited for him, Nicole stood and smoothed out her outfit, a black pencil skirt with a silk green blouse that was tucked in. A black and gold chain belt was wrapped around her waist and her 2 inch heels, extended her 5'4" height by a bit.

Sitting down on a soft, plush chair, she took a deep breath and tried to calm her stomach. The name of this officer seemed familiar but she didn't think much about it. Instead, her mind wandered a bit to the talk she still needed to have with her father about her predicament...boy, was he going to be pissed.

The door to her office burst open and that caused Nicole to look up from the notepad in her hand and stood. "Officer Torello.." she said as she finally looked at the man before her...

Oh God.. her mind screamed... it was him... but--it couldn't be.. could it?

"Councelor Mason." He replied, offering to shake her hand as she stood up to greet him. She was one hot number, long red hair, a bright young face and striking green eyes. The rest of her wasn't half bad either, from what he could see. "Do you always keep your patients waiting so long or was my file really that juicy of a read?" He asked her, trying to break the ice with a bad joke.

It was then that he noticed the way she was looking at him. She seemed almost surprised. "Is... something wrong?" He asked, looking over his shoulder to see if it was something behind him that made her look so shocked. "What, do you know me, or something? Listen, I know I've got a bad rep with the other boys, but you've really gotta hear me out, I just reacted out of instinct, I really didn't mean ta break that kids arm or nothing!" He immediately went on the defensive, really not liking the way this lady was looking at him.

He sat down and put his hat in his lap, trying to make himself appear as non threatening as he could, knowing that this woman, Miss Mason, had the power to get him suspended with nothing more than the flick of her pen. He really didn't like that, her having so much power over him. It made him chaff a bit around the collar, but he kept it hidden behind a mask of civility as best he could. He just wished she'd stop staring at him like he'd just kicked a puppy or something.

With a quick smile, Nicole wiped the look of shock she had on her face, or at least she hoped she did, as she sat down and shook her head, "No, no.. I'm sorry, forgive me. It's been a long day Mr. Torello."

Smoothing out her skirt as she sat down, "As for your reputation, please, don't worry. I only know what was told to me," she said, hoping he would believe her. "My job is hear both sides and to see if there is some underlying problem... besides, what ever is said here is between you and me."

"You say I need to hear you out, officer, then please, let's start at the beginning.. why are you here today? Besides being ordered here." She asked. With a deep silent breath, Nicole hoped that what she was showing was a cool, calm demeanor. She had a job to do after all... She tried not to let what she remembered about that night have any affect on what was going on today.

Obviously he didn't remember her and she was glad of that but yet, annoyed. They had both been drunk and well, had she been such a distant memory that he didn't recognize her?

"So, please... relax and tell me what's going on..."

'A long day'? Johnny thought to himself, it was only a little after eight am. Something about that statement bugged him and he automatically assumed domestic problems. She probably had a real dick of a boyfriend that was making her life miserable or something. "Yeah? Well I hope it gets better for ya soon, Miss Mason." He wanted to ask her more about it, but he didn't need heat from the human resources department too, so he kept his mouth shut and let it slide.

"So... someone did tell you about me then?" He mulled over who it might have been, Corothers? Nah, he was too chicken shit to start something with him. Dalton? Hmm, maybe, they've butted heads more than once. "Oh, that's easy, I'll tell you what the... underlying problem was! That dumb thug took a swing at me, and I just reacted out of instinct, like I already told ya."

She wasn't buying it and she was going to make him start at the beginning, again, when he'd already filed his written statement the night before. He gripped his hat tighter, nearly bending it in half in his lap. "I'm here today becau..." He started to say because he was ordered to report to her, but she cut even that route off for him too.

Her calm, cool demeanor was really getting to him and being told to relax just sort of set him off. He stood up, letting out a bitter laugh. "You know, I really don't need this. It's all there in my file, why don't you tell ME why I'm here, huh? Just get it over and done with so you can order I be suspended from active duty like we both know you're gonna do anyway? Save us both some time so I can get out of here, turn in my badge an side arm, go home and start drinking myself stupid."

He was pacing back and forth until he turned and slammed a fist down on her desk, his eyes burning with barely contained anger. "After all, that's what it says in there, right? That's the picture that file paint of me, isn't it?" He had no idea the fury that was about to come his way and was completely unprepared for it, used to always being the aggressor, himself.

Despite being unphased by Johnny's outburst, Nicole jumped when he hit the top of her desk and she saw her personal items rattle. She was not in the mood for this this morning. He had the audacity to rant and rave about all this but still cry about how it wasn't his fault... what the hell?

Most times, she would let the patients talk it out and then calm themselves down and apologize for what they've said and done.

Most times.

With all that has been going on, she didn't have the patience today. Standing up and walking over to her patient, Nicole sized him up and then crossed her arms under her breasts. With a deep breath, she kept eye contact as she spoke, "Mr. Cortello, I understand your frustration but I only asked a simple question. I expected a man of your authority to evaluate the situation you're in, instead of coming in whining that you didn't do anything wrong when clearly you injured a man because of the situation he was in. Your job is to protect and serve, not injure and cry about it later. You knew the consequences of your actions and that it could possibly hurt you later.

You're an adult, and you need to take responsibility. I can understand that at the time, you might have been frustrated but that is no reason to do what you did. Yes, the perp did wrong also, but so did you."

She stepped back, turned from him and was silent for a few moments before turning back to him. Realizing what she just did and said herself. Here she was giving lectures about job performance when she needed to follow her own advice. Clearly, she couldn't work with him..not after all that happened and all that was happening.

"I am not going to recommend you for suspension." She started quietly and looked at him again, "Instead, I see that what you're feeling is beyond my ability to help so I think I will recommend you to see someone else."

She walked over to her desk, brushing pass him and getting his folder, "We're done here today. I'll let the captain know of the need to see someone else but I won't tell him of anything that went on here. Like I said before, what is said here will stay here. You're free to go." With that, she walked to the door to her office and held it open. "The receptionist will call you later today regarding the new information on who you're going to be seeing from this point on."

Johnny knew he'd fucked up with her, and bad, by the way she so calmly stood up and confronted him with her arms crossed. He was instantly ashamed of what he'd said and done, just like when he was five and his momma caught him tearing up her little herb garden for no good reason. He lowered his head and slumped his shoulders, feeling the crushing wave of defeat falling over him as she chastised his bad behavior. He didn't even have the force of will to correct her when she got his last name wrong.

When she stepped back and turned around he lifted his head a little and noticed the curve of her ass through her dress. It was somehow familiar to him for some reason. When she turned back to face him again it was his turn to look surprised. She was the girl he'd taken home the night of the Mayor's Ball! He never thought he'd see her again, and sure as hell never expected her to be the mayor's daughter, of all people! Boy, was he fucked! And not in a good way either! He'd had a one night stand with the mayor's daughter and now he was mouthing off to her in her own office? God Damn, he was stupid! At least they'd used a condom that night...

"It's Torello..." He said, barely above a whisper, his entire attitude shifting gears on him as he remembered her and the hot, sweaty night of fun they'd shared. He did a double take when she told him she wasn't going to push for a suspension. "What? Why? I mean, God, that's a relief but... Oh, hey now, just wait a minute, please? What do you mean beyond your ability to help? What's that supposed ta mean? I don't want ta go see someone else. What, you throw me a bone and then you just give up on me without even trying? What kind of counselor are you anyway? I get the feeling that it's something else... What aren't you telling me, Nikki?" He used the name she'd given him at the ball this time. Even though she'd gone past him and was holding the door, waiting for him to leave, he half Sat, half leaned on the edge of her desk and looked at her with knowing eyes.

Oh God.. He remembered...

Nicole didn't need this today. It was like a bad dream come true. Yet, at the same time, it was probably fate that all this was happening.

She needed to tell him about what she found out but didn't know how to get a hold of him... until now.

Closing the door slowly, she kept her gaze down and then leaned against the door. Finally, she looked up and stared at the man across the room, "So, you do remember." She said, and didn't wait for him to answer. "To answer your question about what sort of counselor I am, I feel that I am a great counselor which is why I think it would benefit you better to see someone who is more experienced and if I made it seem for any other reason, I'm sorry."

Seeing that he wasn't too sure about what she said, she pushed against the door and walked to the middle of her office, "As for there being anything else, John, there's...nothing." she said, hoping he believed her. Nicole knew she needed to tell him about what she found out. But now wasn't the time. She was still dealing with it.. besides, what was he going to do right now?

"And Officer Torello, this all has nothing to do with that night we... met. I seriously just feel that--" Nicole stopped and pasted on small smile, albeit probably fake, seeing as how she wasn't too good at hiding her emotions, "I'll note your objections but really, it's going to be OK. You'll have some required sessions with the new doctor and then be back on full duty before you know it... can you at least trust me on this? Please?"

"Yeah, I remember, of course I remember, that was one hell of a night." He cracked a smile, hoping that she felt the same way. His happiness was short lived though, as she tried to explain why she couldn't continue as his counselor. "No offense, but I think that's a line of bull. If you're so good, than you'd want to take me on. I'm pretty fucked up, as you can see, imagine how much credit you'd get for straightening someone as bad as me out? I think its cause of what we did after the ball." He looked a little hurt that she wasn't willing to continue counseling him.

"You're lying..." he replied, knowing from the way she'd paused. "And you're hiding something..." He was calm now, but he knew something was wrong. "Oh bull, I think this has everything to do with that night. What, did i get you pregnant, or something?" He asked, following his suspicions. She was acting pretty funny about it, with that obviously fake smile.

He let out a sigh of exasperation and pushed off her desk. "Fine, you do that. I don't see how its going to be okay, though. I mean, I obviously don't play well with others..." He looked down, then slowly ran his eyes up along Nicole's body before looking her in the eyes again. "Okay, okay, I'm trusting ya." He didn't look happy about it, but he was going to give it a shot. "My numbers in my file, if you decide you want to let me know what's going on, Miss Mason."

How badly she wanted to tell him but not right now...he was right about being messed up but that wasn't it...she just needed time to gather her thoughts first, that was all.

"Thank you officer.." She didn't say anything more and he started to leave but just as got to the door, Nicole spoke up, "and yes Johnny, that night was great..." she said before finally closing the door as he left.

It wasn't even 10 minutes later that Nicole told the receptionist that she was going to take the rest of the day off...she needed to talk to the one person who was her rock..her father. Nicole was sure he would give her a hug and say that everything was going to be ok...right?

Grabbing her purse, Nicole hurried out..

Johnny had expected her to cave and tell him what was really going on, but instead found that she was made of sterner stuff than he'd thought and she stuck to her guns, dismissing him with polite ease. He was pretty stunned, he was used to getting his way after all. He got up and tried to pretend that she hadn't thrown him for a loop with her casual dismissal and get out of there with some semblance of pride left.

It was what she said just as he was about to leave her office that made his heart skip a beat. She'd enjoyed their night together after all! He left the office with a smile on his face, standing just a bit taller now that he knew she'd enjoyed the sex. One thing still bothered him though, what was she trying so hard to hide?

----------

Patrick Mason was on the phone with an important campaign supporter when his daughter arrives at his office. He had his receptionist make her wait for nearly ten minutes before he invited her in. "Ah, my darling girl! What do I owe the pleasure of this visit to, pumpkin?" He asked her, opening his arms up wide to give her a hug. "Oh, but you look upset! Whats the matter, my little mouse? Is there something I can do to help?" He sounded concerned, as he embraced her and gave her back a light stroke to sooth her, like he did when she was just a child.

How she wanted to cry in her father's arms and tell him everything but she knew she couldn't just blurt out what was wrong. Her father already had a lot on his mind with the up coming campaign but still, she needed to tell someone.

"I'm sorry for coming here unannounced." She said, pulling back and smiling up at him. "How's it all going?"

Patrick sighed and took a seat back behind his desk, "Ahh, well, you know how it is. All these incompetent assholes don't know what the hell they're doing so guess who has to hold their hand?"

Nicole kept a straight face, "I can't imagine Daddy." She had learned a long time ago that whatever opinion she had about his campaign or even his business, was not wanted nor asked for even if he did ask for it. Her father was as old school as they came. Probably the last of his kind.

He believed in old fashion family values and that was how he had won his seat as Mayor.

"How is your job going?" He asked as he bent his head back down and paid attention to his work.

"Well, it's going good. Just a few ups and downs is all. But as you say, it's all part of the job."

"Mmmhmm.." Of course,Nicole knew he wasn't really listening.

Nicole made a few pointless statements and then decided, it was time to tell him. "Daddy, I know this is out of the blue but...umm, a patient problem has me torn in two... can I tell you about it?"

"Of course honey, you can tell me anything.."

"Yeah..." Nicole said under her breath, "Well, a patient of mine ended up pregnant and well, she's not married... in fact.. this was all from a one night stand.." Nicole said, clasping her hands together hard, hoping he didn't figure out it was her. "I'm not exactly sure how to handle it or what to tell her.."

Patrick set his pen down and folded his hands in front of him, leaning against his desk as he listened to his daughters problem, suddenly very interested. "Hmm, I see, and does this young woman know where the father might be? I would advise that she find him before she starts to show and ask him for help... In dealing with this little... Problem." He fixed her with a look of concern, his jaw muscles flexing under his sharp, flat cheeks.

It was pretty obvious to him that she was talking about herself but he couldn't bring himself to acknowledge that, not yet anyway. "Didn't she use... Protection?" He asked her, slowly moving a hand to rub at his chin, then down to tug at his collar and work at straightening his tie. His indigestion was kicking in again as his stomach clenched over the thought of his little girl having a bastard child. Oh, the media would have a field day with that! He let out a long slow breath, trying to keep the burning in his chest down to a tolerable level. "Nicole, pumpkin... Who are we talking about really?" He asked, afraid to hear the answer.

Damnit, there was no keeping secrets from him.

"Me." Nicole said quietly.

Silence.

"It's me." She said more firmly, "I'm pregnant Daddy." She stood, "And before you ask, yes, I know who the father is. No, I haven't told him yet. We only knew each other one night and well, that area is sort of complicated at the moment."

She noticed her father's face turning extremely red from anger.

"But I promise, I will not embarrass you...even after I have the baby.."

Patrick shot to his feet, his hands on his desk, blowing up at her. "Nicole Anne Mason, sit back down! Now I thought I raised you better than this. Pregnant? I thought you were on the pill! And what about him? Wasn't he smart enough to use protection? Honestly, I am VERY disappointed in you right now! I didn't pay for seven years of college just for you to waste it all like this. You can't seriously think of keeping this baby, can you?! And what will the media say? Oh, I'll tell you what they'll say... They'll say that the mayor of the moral majority has a slut for a daughter and a bastard for a grandchild! I'll be more than just embarrassed, I'll be ruined, RUINED!" He huffed, out of breath, a hand on his chest, struggling to keep the burning down.

"Oh god..." He groaned, forcefully tugging a drawer open and grabbing a bottle of antacids to help sooth the pain. He fumbled with the cap, his eyes blurry with angry tears. "Damn it..." He tried to open it again, but still couldn't do it in his frustration and anger and slammed it down on his desk, making it pop open. "Fuck..." He growled under his breath as he picked up the several tablets that had gone flying across his desk and stuffed them in his mouth, chewing them greedily. He searched another drawer for a small bottle of whiskey he kept stashed away for times like this, to wash it all down with. Only then did he look back up at Nicole, more pained than angry now, rubbing pointlessly at the burning in his chest and throat.

Nicole didn't move as her father berated and belittled her and her decision. He tended to always be over dramatic at times and this time he was pulling out all the stops. When he downed his second shot of whiskey, Nicole stood up and squared her shoulders, trying to seem confident, "I'm sorry you feel this way daddy, but this is my decision. I used every precaution but things still happened and like you taught me, I'm going to deal with it."

Without giving him a chance, Nicole turned and walked to the door, yanked it open and walked out, slamming the door.

Well....she thought...there goes that...

***

Sitting in the small coffee shop near her office, Nicole took a small sip of her coffee, her mind was racing. If this was how get father reacted, she could only imagine how Johnny would react... this had been one hell of a day, that was for sure.

She looked at her phone. While waiting for her coffee, she had called her office and asked the receptionist for Johnny's number. The day was going shitty so far, why not make it even worst?

Sending a text might not have been a classy way to talk, but Nicole didn't want questions over the phone, this had to be done in person also...she owed him that much.

She hit the send button, asking Johnny to meet her at her place later that night. The next text was her address.

Patrick made to speak again as little Nicole straightened up and boldly addressed him, saying that her decision was already made and that she would deal with it on her own. Despite his fury, Patrick's heart sank over what he'd said to her, but she didn't give him the chance to take any of it back before she stormed out.

He sank back in his chair, his shoulders slumped and eyes stinging with tears as he poured himself another shot of whiskey. He didn't drink it right away, instead he stared through the caramel colored fluid at the world outside his office window, wondering what the hell he'd just done and if he could fix it.

**********

Johnny got Nicoles text as he left the station for the evening and stopped to read them and then reread them in surprise. He'd thought he'd spoiled any chance of seeing her again with his childish outburst in her office. He was so excited that she wanted to see him again that he didn't even go home to change out of his uniform, instead, he went and bought a bunch of flowers and went to her address, as she hadn't given him a specific time to come.

He waited in the lobby of her apartment building for about twenty minutes, reading the bulletin board to occupy his time until she arrived. There was one post with a bad drawing of an octopus asking the reader if they wanted it to have fewer legs and each leg was a tab with a yes in it. One was torn off too. Johnny was chuckling over that as Nicole walked in behind him.

"Oh, hey Nikki, uh, sorry, Miss Mason..." He stumbled over his words a bit, uncertain how to address her just yet as he walked over to her with the flowers down at his side. She didn't look happy, in fact, she looked pretty miserable, like maybe she'd been crying. "You alright?" He asked, half hiding the bouquet of flowers behind his back, not sure he should spring them on her now. "I got your texts, guess I got here a little early though..." He gave her a lopsided grin over his eagerness to see her again, outside of a professional setting.

With the day she's had, Nicole couldn't help but return Johnny's smile as she waved off his apologies, "Please...it's no problem at all. I just hated to text you out of nowhere like that." She said, smiling and pushed the button for the elevator.

Nicole was torn on whether or not to tell him, in the lobby, that she was pregnant because she was sure that he would want a quick way out of here.

She took a deep breath as the doors opened and they stepped in. She pushed the button to her floor and then turned her attention to him, "I really appreciate you seeing me.. I wanted to talk to you in a less... formal setting and..." she made a face, "It's Nicki, or Nicole.. never Miss Mason. That makes me sound like a teacher or at least 50."

Once they were in her apartment, Nicole turned to face him, "Well, I- wait.. are those flowers?" She said, finally noticing them.

"I'm glad you did, I didn't feel right about the way we left things in your office." He said as he followed her onto the elevator. 'less formal'. He liked the sound of that. "Alright, Nicki it is then." He said with a nod of approval, agreeing with her. "And you can call me John or Johnny, then." He rocked up on his heels as they stood in semi silence on the elevator ride up to her floor.

Johnny's thoughts strayed back to the night of the ball as they walked up to her door. They'd done some crazy hot stuff that night, the kind of stuff an Italian catholic boy like him could never admit in confession. Not that he ever went to confession now that he was an adult and a cop. And she'd been really into it too, the way she let him pound her and the sounds she made... He had to adjust himself behind her back while she opened the door and let him into her apartment.

He thought she'd caught him doing it too, the way she paused in what she was about to say, but she'd only noticed the flowers. "Oh, yeah, for you, hope ya like them. I didn't know what kind ta get, so I got a little of everything they had." He held them up for her to take, shifting so that his hard on wasn't quite so obvious.

God, he was so nice. So.. different than from this morning.

Maybe that's why she scolded him the way she did. He was such a gentleman and that night they had met, he was drunk yes, but still respectful toward her.

How could she keep drawing it out like this, she didn't know but it couldn't go on. Even though he seemed nice enough now, what about his temper? Was it like how it was this morning?

"Listen... Johnny," she said, taking the flowers from him and smiling before sighing and turned from him, walking into the living room and taking a seat on the couch. She sensed him following her, so when she sat down on the couch, she looked up at him. "There is something I need to tell you. You were right this morning. I'm pregnant."

"I..." Johnny was dumbstruck, he'd suspected as much by the way she kept avoiding his questions this morning, but not, to have it confirmed, he didn't know what to think. He felt a bit of panic, wondering what she would do with the baby. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked everywhere but at her for a moment, trying to think of what to say.

Finally, he sunk to one knee in front of her, lowering his eyes to her belly. "oh..." He took a long, slow swallow to keep himself calm. "Wow..." He whispered, slowly looking up into her big green eyes. "And its mine?" He asked softly, slowly smiling at the notion. But wait, he was getting ahead of himself, he didn't even know if she was going to keep it.

"Are... Are you going to keep it?" He asked, fearful that she was going to say no. "Is there anything I can do to help?" His mind flooded with questions and his heart raced with all of the unknowns between them. "Can I touch?" He asked finally, hovering his hand over her belly, grinning softly. There wasn't anything to feel really, not yet anyway, just this sort of unexplainable connection to the baby growing in her womb that he desperately wanted to feel.

"Is it yours?" Nicole repeated, trying not to sound agast, "Yes, it's yours Johnny. I'm not the type to sleep around.." For a brief moment, he reminded her of her father and what he said about her being a slut.

She let her head fall back against the couch, "And yes, I'm going to keep it. I..I-I want to keep it. Just because of some mishap doesn't mean this is something I can just get rid of and go on with my life.. that wouldn't be fair..or right."

When he asked if there was anything he could do to help, Nicole lost it and started to let the tears fall... "Oh God, I'm not usually a blubbering idiot..." she said, taking his hand and placing it on her stomach. "I don't want you to think you have to be committed to this... I'm giving you a choice, a choice that you don't have to make now Johnny. Think about it, OK? Just don't let this make you judge me or what we had that night."

"Shit, I'm sorry, I didn't mean... I'm sorry..." Johnny realized how bad it had sounded to ask her if the baby was his. She wouldn't have asked him here to tell him so if it wasn't. Damn, he was stupid some times... "Well, I'm glad you're keeping it and I'll help in any way I can, okay?" It was then that she fell to tears and without thinking, he got up and sat right next to her, drawing her into his arms. "Hey, hey now, don't cry, its gonna be alright. It's gonna be fine."

A huge lump formed in his throat the moment Nicki guided his hand to her belly and he was hard pressed not to shed a few tears himself. "But what if I want ta be?" He shook his head in amazement as she gave him a choice. "I don't have ta think about it, I'm in, if ya want me ta be. Whatever I can do, I'll do."

He shifted, and drew as near to her as he could, caressing her cheek in strong hand. "Hey, that night was nothing short of amazing, I wouldn't change it if I could, and now... It has a whole new meaning, something beautiful and innocent is going to come out of it. Funny how something so hot and wild, well, you know..." He said with a bit of a lustful grin as he looked into her large, sparking green eyes, shimmering with tears. He didn't know if his heart was about to explode or melt, the way she looked, so vulnerable, yet supremely sexy. Without another thought, he kissed her.

At last, a positive response. Even if it was from only the second person she had told. Guilt hit her as she figured that Johnny should have been the first person she should've told.

Bringing in the tears, Nicole smiled despite herself. She was grateful for what he said about wanting to be there. With a small nod, Nicole looked at him, "Thank you... that means a lot."

"I wouldn't change it either." She said before he kissed her..

The kiss was certainly a surprise but Nicole didn't argue it. Instead, she leaned into it before wrapping her arms around Johnny's neck, bringing the two closer.
