Um...what's required to use the Chat program on lit? Do i need a webcam? Is it voice? What's the scoop?

just go there from the main forums page, and start typing.

Nothing to it, except it's good to post a chat thread here to let people know they should or can go while you are there.

You need to immediately send naked pictures of yourself to Mister Happy.

There may be other requirements too, but that's the first one...

yep, that'll go over real well.

Chat won't work for me either. I tried to log in last week and was greeted with a message saying I was banned. I still haven't gotten a clear answer on that one.

I could never get the chat forum to work. I finally went on-line, downloaded mIRC, and lucked into finding literotica. That's my story.

Don't forget a firewall.

Which chat? There are two.

You have Digichat available from storyside. You click the link "chat" right above such things as "new stories" and "author's resources."

You also have the forum chat which can only be accessed through an outside client hooking through Dalnet or through the "chat" link at the bottom of the Literotica Discussion Board master list.

Neither support webcams or voice, they're all text chat.

If you can't get into the chat with anything resembling reliability through the forums go to http://www.mirc.co.uk/ and download the mIRC client or to http://www.pirchat.com/ and download the pirch client. To get to literotica forum chat: Find something in the client that says "connect to server" and the server I hook to is tsunami.ma.us.dal.net on port 6667 (this is the standard port). For more info on that visit http://www.dal.net. Once you're connected to the server you'll need to join and the command that you stick in the command line is: /join #literotica

The other option is to go and get Trillian. Trillian supports all IM programs and IRC servers. www.trillian.cc

:) Hope this helps!

Sabbath, IRC servers ban bad people by nickname, not IP 'cause of gating.

Try going in through a lit independent client with a different nickname.

Most likely "sabbathstorm" did something bad on dalnet and got himself banned.

Dalnet registers nicknames so you'll have to the whole pick a nick thing.

Thanks for that information KillerMuffin. I've been meaning to try that method after being unsuccessful getting into Digichat. I'm using Trillian so I don't imagine IRC to be any problem. It's been ages since I've been on IRC though!

actualy that's wrong. when banning a person you do yes ban by their nick name only if they are in the channel, and their user info is colected and the ip is banned, but you can simply change your handle info and evade the ban, so there is a way to ban the independint IP or even an entire server.

sabbath your ISP could have been g-lined the day you tryed to access the chat. try again if your still banned, its done inside the channel.

Sabbath, none of that works to get into Digichat. If you've been banned you need to email Ksss. There should be a link on the sign in page for Digichat to email her.

Digichat is all java and you can't legally access their servers with an outside client.

still a bit unclear

I do chat through some other mIRC programs....do i just um wha?
Oh fuck ill try the link at the bottom....:(
*thought she was hot shit.....and apparently just cold piss*
