My congratulations to Starrkers on her 1020 word "little" essay that encompassed every single point in How To write a romance story for Literotica.

These contests are a joke and are an affront to all the "really" serious writers who write here with the hopes of giving it their all when entering a contest.

I shall look forward to the next contest won by one of Literotica's favored sons or daughters.

Bravo on a job well done.

Thank you for taking away the joy of winning something. I want you to know that I did put my heart into it. I was so excited until I read what you had to say. So because I entered this contest, you think I am not serious? Puhlease - thanks for ruining what started out as a great day...

Honey, ignore him. He's a proven sore loser who complains every time he doesn't win something. Don't let him bring you down! :rose:

(Besides if he thinks everyone that entered the contest is not serious, then he's got it bad. Did you see how many essays he had in the contest?)

Be proud of your win and don't let people like him ruin it for you.

???

What I wrote was directed at Starrkers and not you. Now, if you feel guilty enough to accept what I wrote as yours, feel free.

I didn't even read your story. I'm sure it is a very fine 800 word work of art for you to win 2nd place.

Congratulations. Only, after now just reading your story...I wouldn't quit your day job.

How dare you? You don't even know me and yet by your accusations, you propose just that.

A proven loser who complains every time he doesn't win something?

Do you get that idea because I voiced my deserved indignation of the 2007 Survivor contest farce?

Where did I write that I don't think that everyone that entered the contest is not serious. You're delusional if you read that in what I wrote? What I wrote was that there were so many essays better than those of the

...And what difference does it make if I had 100 essays in the contest. I never expected to win. I just wrote them for the Hell of it and for the Survivor contest.

Where did I write that I was upset because I didn't win? Where did I write that I believe my stories were better than the winners'?

Contrarily what I wrote was the I'm just a hack who is learning to write.

Before you insult me, check your facts.

The only reason why you people, yeah, you people, gang up on me is because I'm not one of the popular bunch of AHer's.

Go ahead, take your shots at me, as do all the others.

I'm a big freaking target with my 450 stories.

Make wine instead of sour grapes.

Congratulations White Wave and PJ526! We were all level pegging for the last bit of the contest. Guess the last sweep was just kinder to me.

Thanks BFW. Your continuing lack of sportsmanship is becoming tiresome. I refuse to let your pathetic tantrums take the gloss of this, my first win in the special competitions.

This sentence is an affront to all the writers here who concentrate on the quality of their work, rather than pounding out 450 "stories" in 18 months without care or thought for their readers.

How dare you have the nerve to attack the quality of anyone else's work when all you aspire to is to flood this site with hundreds of chapters of first drafts?

Thank you Starrkers

To be quite honest, I had forgotten the contest until WhiteWave48 sent me and e-mail congratulating me. I am new to the site and thought there is no better way to test my skill than to enter this contest. It is not normally a genre I would write.

I have decided to just ignore BFW. I do appreciate everyone who wrote me and gave me support over his harsh comments. I did take what he said personally...he implied that our "how to" essays were frivolous and pieces of fluff.

Anyway - thank you.
