Don't thank me, you deserve it all, sweet. Family always take precedence on everything else and with baby Thomas arrival and subsequent health problems, I knew the award would be the furthest thing from your mind, but I thought it would be nice for you to see it when you had more leisure time.

Thank you for not using too many of the abominations known as emoticons. As you are well aware, they are tools of the evil one (Manu) and should be eliminated from the board in an expeditious manner.

You should have eliminated the word 'unabashedly' from your last story as well, I believe with one or two fewer adverbs, you would have won the contest.

Well-deserved applause for kbate and her success here at Lit. There's no doubt her efforts have shined the light of hope on many writers that may otherwise still be struggling.

And a personal thanks for the brief time I got to know you when posting the first three chapters of Ripples in a thread. Your encouragement fostered what may very well be my defining series.

I wasn't aware of any family difficulties, but my heart goes out to you and yours.
