Now that the polls are officially closed we can start congratulating our very own Kbate on winning the "Most helpful Editor" award for this year.

I'm proud to be the first one to congratulate her.....she deserves it! :rose:

Huh!! The things one learns when wandering out of the geebee.

Congratulations kbate!

A lovely little bird climbed out of the cavity of obscurity to tell me there was a thread for me on this forum...

I've been remiss due to my growing family and have not posted in some time, but thank you LadyCibelle. I do not think many awards are as pleasing as one awarded by the writers who I have, in my somewhat harsh and arrogant manner, helped.

You say "harsh and arrogant" as if they were bad things

Seriously, congratulations.

Don't thank me, you deserve it all, sweet. :rose: Family always take precedence on everything else and with baby Thomas arrival and subsequent health problems, I knew the award would be the furthest thing from your mind, but I thought it would be nice for you to see it when you had more leisure time.

Since you are pleased, I add my congratulations also. Until someone pointed this award out I had not realised that editing is a competitive sport.

Congratulations!!!

:D   :rose:
(I was going to insert every single emoticon in kbate's honour, but the system won't allow that many images in a post, so I kept it down to the most important ones.)

Thank you for not using too many of the abominations known as emoticons. As you are well aware, they are tools of the evil one (Manu) and should be eliminated from the board in an expeditious manner.

You should have eliminated the word 'unabashedly' from your last story as well, I believe with one or two fewer adverbs, you would have won the contest.

Congrats!

Well-deserved applause for kbate and her success here at Lit. There's no doubt her efforts have shined the light of hope on many writers that may otherwise still be struggling.

And a personal thanks for the brief time I got to know you when posting the first three chapters of Ripples in a thread. Your encouragement fostered what may very well be my defining series.

I wasn't aware of any family difficulties, but my heart goes out to you and yours.

All the best!
