I confess that I may murder someone at the electric company today. How in the blue fuck did my bill more than DOUBLE in a SINGLE MONTH and I didn't use any more electricity than I did the month before?!?!?!?!?!

I'm around- just not as much thanks to nursing a sickie with double-double pneumonia (who is now on a heart monitor as well).

ICT while working from home is nice, the lack of work lately is incredibly nerve-wracking, and the full-time jobs just aren't out there yet.

Now, while this is true, the last time I posted this I got a little work. So, I'm trying it again.

In the meantime I'll be being naughty here on Lit... :D

Ahhh the electric co. They used to estimate one month, and then read the meter & bill the balance the next. So I'd get these lopsided bills.... and it went on like that endlessly. You'd think they would learn to better estimate, but no.

The idiot in billing when I called to set up a payment plan told me, "Well sir, yes we have increased the percentage on our service fee, but it's been a very cold winter you know."

Yes, it HAS been a cold winter, but I still kept my thermostat set at 73* same as always- and when the little bar graph on my statement for THIS month is almost equal to last month, you've shot yourself in the foot with that argument.

Wow. I've never been a fan of the utilities. They're right up there with insurance agencies and the credit bureaus.
 
I am so pissed. I was out having coffee and I spilled a huge cup all over my Blackberry so it's dead. I am constantly on it, or was. I hate being disconnected like that. Plus, I didn't have any of my phone numbers anywhere else so I lost them all :mad:

ICT I am SOOO happy this week is over but all my meetings are done and my state assessments passed their inspection :), hugh weight off my shoulder :)

You try taking the battery out, then put it in a ziploc baggie of uncooked white rice? Supposed to leave it overnight.

Girl, I was too! It never left my side. I'll just take this as a valuable lesson. I just hope my media card is alright. Got lots of hot pics on it.

It and the battery have been in there for a few hours now. It will turn on but won't let me access anything. I'm going to check it in the morning. Meanwhile, I've got a replacement I should be getting tomorrow.

Media card should be fine, you can abuse them pretty hard and still have them work, as long as they aren't actually broken.

Good because I've got many a perv pic on there and I'd hate to lose my collection. Lol. Many are there and not on my computer. I may have to fix that after tonight.
