Ha! had a tough time today convincing one of my sons that Milk Bones are'nt cookies:)

Lol. Just let him eat one. He'll figure it out really quickly. There's also the Scooby Doo dog bone graham crackers (which I have) :)

Grilled swordfish seasoned with a Barbados wet rub hand-made by my friend (a Caribbean native), served over herb seasoned wild rice with spiced sauteed veggies & fruit (bell peppers, broccoli, onion, pineapple). For dessert, pomegranate poached pears with toasted almonds and vanilla bean ice cream. And, to round it all off, caramel french roast coffee spiked with a healthy dose of McCormick's Irish Cream.


I may be lonely, but at least I'm well-fed :D.

As has been said, it's clearly jealousy of your relationship. As to a his being holier-than-thou, sadly this is common in religion, academia, and anywhere age should equate to superior wisdom. However, too often as wisdom knows no age, stupid works likewise:rolleyes:
To me anyway, and I could be wrong, the whole point of that particular thread (and often Lit in general) is to give voice to what could and should be said if the world were perfect. Religion aside, your desires to maintain a long-standing, mutually beneficial friendship and to protect your friend are certainly admirable. Certainly your offense at his slandering of your character is more than justified. Sadly, it is likely he views you as a rival, and maybe in a sick and twisted way, his warning to her may even signal that he is at least somewhat concerned about her well-being. I guess that the best "bright side" I can come up with:confused: (I tried hard to find another:eek:)Somebody somewhere on Lit posted (I looked for the thread for quite awhile and couldn't find it) something like "Men try to protect women they care about from men like themselves." It could be telling of his caring, of his own rapist tendencies or both:eek:

When I read this response it occurred to me that perhaps the fact that he is 30 years senior is why he feels so threatened by the friendship. Perhaps the new guy doubts he can compete favorably with a man closer to the lady's own age, especially one who knows her so very well.

I got my hair cut last night and feel cute as hell. ;) *sigh* work ugh I know I have a job I have a job I have a job... Would rather have an adventure. But don't want to join the army. hmmmm :cattail:
 
ICT that I just caught my sisters girlfriend in the kitchen in nothing but panties, needless to say I ended up makeing coffee with a raging hard on, then I go out to get my coffee after its done brewing and my sister is out there stark naked...I never thought I would be so pissy about finding 2 naked women in my kitchen first thing in the morning.:(
