This discussion appears to have veered considerably from the original question regarding the use of condoms within fiction.

Now it's a debate on the use of lube!

Condoms have no place in my fiction &, as far as possible, within my own sex life, but lube is another thing.

After all, you want the lass to be comfortable while shafting her don't you?

Kittinymph correctly suggests that we are all different in both taste & practice - what a sensible girl she is compared to some of the contributers to this forum. Live & let live for goodness sake!

Surely this subject has now been exhausted?

I think with stories being fantasies that it really doesn't matter one way or the other if you have characters use condoms. LIke some others have said, in a fantasy world there are no STD's or unwanted pregnancy unless you yourself write them into your story. and it is after YOUR story.

I myself don't generally use condoms in my stories, because I fanatasize about not needing to use them in real life either.

Think about this, if they came out on a pill you could take that not only worked as birth control, but also prevented STD's how many people would use condoms anymore. (supposedly they are really working on such a thing.)

It comes down to a story is a story not real life. nothing bad will happen to anyone in a story unless the author wants it to.
