After repeatedly claiming climate change is fake, that it's the fault of the Chinese or that it is nothing more than a power grab by Obama, the con artist finally received approval to build a sea wall at his Doonbeg golf course in Ireland.

However, the con artist resorted to the hoax of climate change to justify building of the wall. This came after an Irish government study which assumed a steady rate of erosion through 2050. But the con artist wasn't satisfied with report. In his application to build a sea wall he stated:

“If the predictions of an increase in sea level rise as a result of global warming prove correct, however, it is likely that there will be a corresponding increase in coastal erosion rates not just in Doughmore Bay but around much of the coastline of Ireland. In our view, it could reasonably be expected that the rate of sea level rise might become twice of that presently occurring. … As a result, we would expect the rate of dune recession to increase.”

The con artist even included the local population in the climate change hoax. In a pamphlet distributed to residents to justify building the wall, the con artist listed as bullet point number four, "Predicted sea level rise and more frequent storm events will increase the rate of erosion throughout the 21st century."

As former South Carolina Republican Rep. Bob Inglis said, “It's diabolical. Donald Trump is working to ensure his at-risk properties and his company is trying to figure out how to deal with sea level rise. Meanwhile, he’s saying things to audiences that he must know are not true. … You have a soft place in your heart for people who are honestly ignorant, but people who are deceitful, that’s a different thing.”

One bright side to all of this. The golf course, and all his golf courses in Ireland, continue to lose money. In 2015 he lost over 5 million pounds (~$6.5 million) on Doonbeg alone. His other courses continue to underperform and lose money as well, despite any bombastic lying the con artist attempts.

Why is this good news? It won't be long before these golf courses meet up with the multitude of other failed ventures the con artist has done. They can reminisce at how the con artist has lost billions of dollars in the process, all while claiming he's a great businessman.
