Long time campaign aide and former talk radio host Sam Clovis is being nominated by the con artist to be the secretary of agriculture for research, education, and economics. With no formal background in FDA policies, with no idea how the FDA works, with no science background whatsoever, Clovis' only real claim to fame is he comes from Iowa and he has blindly supported the con artist.

However, that part about having no science background is key since the law explicitly states:

"The Under Secretary shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, from among distinguished scientists with specialized training or significant experience in agricultural research, education, and economics"

Like several other cabinet positions where the people in place did nothing other than give millions to the con artist's campaign, and have no idea what they're doing, it's clear the con artist is vowed and determined to show the world how great America can be by finding the most unqualified people to fill key roles.

I was just listening to some GOP bullshit artist talk about the stellar team Trump has put together.

When did Americans become so susceptible to bullshit?

About the time Bill Clinton was elected and it all started going to shit from there. Clinton. Bush. Obama. It's a nightmare but Trump is a new dawn, the golden sunrise of Hope driving back the Forces of Darkness. Etc etc

Put down the crack pipe.

Sure he does....He's there to be muscle for big ag/pharma money, that's the FDA's job.

Hope and Change ring a bell?

LOL
We've had a lot of change for the better during the last eight years. It's what you're always griping about.

Either there was change or there wasn't. Pretending that both are true is a sign of delusion.

You were talking about change for the better....

You talking about change as an absolute or change for the better?

They aren't the same thing, pretending they are is a sign of delusion. ;)

So do you think getting ripped off and sold out is change for the better or not?

Common phro....tell us all how AMAZING of a job the (D)'s and O did these last eight years. :D

Here is a decent assessment of how things changed: http://www.npr.org/2017/01/19/510491692/the-america-donald-trump-is-inheriting-by-the-numbers

Sorry, but there's no mention of ripping off or selling out.

Here is confirmation bias!!

Yea, I can generate the same.

Sorry, but there's no mention of ripping off or selling out.

So then you consider the numerous bills protecting Monsanto, overturning Vermonts GMO labeling laws after campaigning on the exact opposite promises good progress then right?

ACA is good change right? Wonderful reform really addressed the problems with our HC system right?

Pulling out of Iraq early against the suggestions of all the military leaders destabilizing the middle east, north Africa and now Europe in a way that not many who are still living have ever seen....that's good change right?

Are you saying that the facts I presented are false? You must have some evidence for that.

Are you going to continue claiming that Obama didn't bring hope or change? There is no evidence for that.

Fuck the laws requiring expertise in appointments. Tromp should insert thieves, morons, con artists, psychos, and ordinary incompetents to all vacant high-level posts. Let the gov't be run by his cast of characters. And yes, these are all casting decisions, faces in place because they look right to The Boss. Anyway, Amerikkka deserves to endure Tromp World. While we last. Which may not be long. Hope y'all are prepared for eternity.

Did I say they were?

Are you going to continue claiming that Obama didn't bring hope or change? There is no evidence for that.

I never claimed that in the first place.

That's the way it's been for some time now, it's standard practice.

Um... isn't he doing this already?
Pretty much. Actually it's a good thing that Tromp's been too crazed to bother making appointments. Many desks are held down by the old underlings. Many agencies have a new chief but no new deputies, no commissioners, no implementors. Just as well. Just imagine if these turds actually had their act together. [/me shudders]

Meanwhile, Amerikkka gets the gov't it deserves. We've really fucked up to deserve *this* punishment, hey?

Unfortunately, this kind of thing is a common practice, and has been for a long time. Under JFK, for instance, the main requirement was to be related to the POTUS. :(

You're talking to Hypoxia.....it's only bad when (R)'s do it.

This message is hidden because BotanyBoy is on your ignore list.
Whatever.

Like it's only bad when Obama uses unconstitutional executive orders but not when Bush did them, or now the con artist does the same thing, right?
'Twas Dubya who exploded executive orders, issuing a zillion. Difference is that Dubya and Obama also signed legislation. Not much of that has reached Tromp's desk -- because nobody on the Guppy side actually cares or knows anything about governing. Governance requires compromise. These guys wanna RULE, issue commands, be obeyed, take ass-kissing. Passing laws is secondary. Easier to sign orders.

No those were bad too and I've said as much.

Sorry, but I'm not a partisan....you're just never going to be able to use that against me. I don't see any difference in the two except what industries and special interest they hold a gun to the citizenry's head for.

Ideologue sure, but not partisan.

Whatever.

 hide your partisanship behind iggy.....just like vetteman. :D

Governance requires compromise.

Cuz that's been working really well so far
