CNN - The U.S. Justice Department's investigation of Fox News has widened to include a second law enforcement agency.

Financial crimes experts from the United States Postal Inspection Service are now involved, according to four sources connected to the investigation.

Mail fraud and wire fraud cases are part of the USPIS purview.

It is unclear if the current Justice Department will continue with the investigations involving payouts to women who were sexually harassed, payments which were never informed to investors of the Fox tabloid, "consultants" for former head of Roger Ailes (forced out for his sexual harassment of female employees) who didn't perform any legitimate function at the tabloid, possible misconduct by employees at the organization and many other related matters.

Until March, Preet Bharara, head of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, was conducting the investigation. It was then the con artist fired the attorney who refused to resign. Right about the time a larger investigation of the crimes of the tabloid was beginning.
